@1yearplan yea that's what they said to me, nothing to worry about unless it turns red. Would be lovely if it stopped soon though so I can stop worrying 😅😅

Stripes22 · 22/03/2024 14:45

Hi all! I have been reading along so thought i would join in. I’m currently 7+ 5 Due very early November. Very anxious as I had a mmc at 14 weeks last year.

@waryandbored i also have 2 sacs!! I had a scan at 6 weeks due a bleed and 1 sac had a baby with a heartbeat the other was empty but I am going back next week to see if it’s another baby or a sac of fluid (they said it could be absorbed) xx

Sparksi · 22/03/2024 15:41

Has anyone had sex yet since their BFP? I know everything online says it’s fine but my brain can’t move past ‘what if it’s risky’ 😂 the problem is, I want to! I just don’t know if there is any real risk?

ECH11 · 22/03/2024 15:48

I had my scan and saw a lovely strong heartbeat!!
Also measured a day ahead of where I was two weeks ago so 8 weeks 1 day today (technically pushed my due date to Oct 31st).

So relieved and grateful, I feel like this is really happening now!

CadoAvo · 22/03/2024 15:57

@ECH11 awww yay that's so good! Congrats ☺️

@Stripes22 welcome! You must feel so anxious but this thread is a good place for support ☺️ keeping everything crossed for you.

@Sparksi yes twice in the last week and it was pretty epic 🤣

1yearplan · 22/03/2024 16:20

Agreed @Loz365, I worry each time I go to the loo that there will be more. Let's hope the rest of pregnancy is kind to us.

@ECH11 that's wonderful news!

CurlyWurly1991 · 22/03/2024 16:28

Lovely news @ECH11 !!

Oh wow, another potential twin pregnancy! Lovely that you’ve seen a baby with a heartbeat. Hoping for the best for your next scan too I’m just hoping to see some increase in the hormones tomorrow 🤞🏼 although I’m guessing they won’t give me results until Monday!

Yay, thread 2. I got my NHS scan letter this morning for the 29th of April - eek! I'm not having any private scans or anything before this, so seems like so far away at the moment! ☺️

Sorry if this sounds stupid, first pregnancy.. clearly! I’m 6w4d, not due for my booking appointment until 10w3d.
do you get a letter for your nhs scan before or after you’ve seen the nurse?? We aren’t doing a private one, waiting for the 12 week nhs. Unsure on how it all works x

y0rkier0se · 22/03/2024 18:02

Aw some lovely news today from lots of you 🥰 I’ve had nightmares two nights in a row about twins. I told my mum today, it’ll be her first grandchild & she’s over the moon 😊

IsItFinallyMe · 22/03/2024 18:07

Thanks for the new thread!

sorry for TMI but having serious amounts of nausea throughout the day, I’m not physically sick but I’ve started having continuous diarrhoea last two days, has anyone else had this?

Just adding to my fatigue! 🙃

Elixabeth · 22/03/2024 18:14

@FastCyanPeer I think it varies a lot by area but I got given my booking appointment and 12 week scan dates at the same time, which was around 3 days after I referred

StayingHopefulx · 22/03/2024 18:17

Hey all,

can I join in?? Congrats to all of you!! Got my bfp 17th march! EDD 25th Nov! Got my appointment for my first scan 19th April! Feels like so far away! Finding it really hard to keep the news to ourselves 🙈🙈🙈

I’m feeling extremity anxious but excited! Just want to get my scan to see a tiny baby!! how’s everyone else feeling??

SouthwestSis · 22/03/2024 18:25

@FastCyanPeer I'd expect you to get a letter with a date for your 12w scan before your midwife booking appointment

Loz365 · 22/03/2024 18:31

@FastCyanPeer I have my booking appointment at 10+5 weeks and haven't yet had my scan appointment through. I might call them if I haven't heard anything in the next couple of weeks

UnravellingTheWorld · 22/03/2024 18:53

@FastCyanPeer depends on the area, but it sounds like your midwife centre doesn't have an ultrasound facility (this was the case in my first pregnancy: I've moved now). I had my booking appointment and got a separate letter for my 12 week scan which was in a hospital, but the midwife appointments all happened in a separate birthing centre. If you have any doubts, just ask the midwife at your booking appointment - they may have a "schedule" on the wall at the centre detailing how many visits you have at at what stage of pregnancy they happen.

It has occured to me that I have yet to self refer to the midwives this time around! 🤦‍♀️ Better get right on that

Thankyou for that @UnravellingTheWorld . My booking appointment is at my GP surgery so maybe this is why

taytay2020 · 22/03/2024 19:06

@y0rkier0se I've not had nightmares about twins but I'm reeeaaally enjoying joking about it to my husband. I just whisper 'maybe it's TWINS!' every so often 😂

I had diarrhoea a few days ago that lasted a few hours, but without the nausea. Hope it gets better for you soon!

@StayingHopefulx welcome and congrats

I have 3 weeks off college now which is nice. Still a lot of anxiety about my circumstances. 😩 Had lunch round my besties earlier. She's 30 weeks pregnant and being so supportive. She's the same age and living at home currently. Her relationship status isn't the same, but I'm glad to have someone that understands to some degree.

Although I do already have a little one who is 3 so the thought of twins scares me!!

BellatrixK · 22/03/2024 19:15

Thank you for the new thread!

I’m currently very anchors about everything after losses in the past. But I’m on progesterone and hoping all is good. I’m still so early- only just 4 weeks and wishing time away!

Also working and chasing a 16 month old is wiping ALL of my energy, so I’m already in bed by 7:15!

Same here - we have a 2 year old and the thought of one more is scary, let alone two!

Sparksi · 22/03/2024 19:48

I’ve spent all evening crying because I feel as though none of my clothes fit. Haha. Very hormonal today. Hope the baby couldn’t feel all the crying!

Daydreamer94 · 22/03/2024 20:11

Hi everyone, I posted earlier this week about having some pain on my right side. Went to EPU today as pain was getting worse but they have ruled out ectopic. They could see a sac but nothing in it as I am measuring about 4+5 so still really early but have been invited back for another scan in 2 weeks.

boobs are hurting today but they weren’t yesterday and I am really starting to go off meat, didn’t have this in my last pregnancy. Also can’t remember the week more symptoms start to kick in? Anyone further along feel like they are starting to have more symptoms x

muddlingthrou · 22/03/2024 20:14

Hi @Daydreamer94 - I had some cramps and bloating weeks 4 and 5, but my symptoms only kicked in properly when I was 6 weeks. Wishing you all the luck! xx
