Hey guys, new thread for the April due dates.

Looks like the other thread maxed out before someone could make a new one, so I'll tag a few people and then if they could tag a few and they tag a few and so on, so we can try and get everyone in.

There's no way I can get everyone tagged myself, it's a nightmare on mobile.

OP posts:

Yes my son had couple of days woke up every 2-3 hours. I thought because of heating and room too dry. Probable regression too. 🥱🥱🥱 very tired

MumDaisy1980 · 21/01/2025 20:59

How’s everyone?
wonder if anyone started thinking of baby’s 1year old birthday? What’s your plan?

Janeykat · 26/01/2025 21:07

@MumDaisy1980 we are good, time is flying, I can't believe all the babies will be toddlers soon! How are you? My daughter is doing really well, we had a tough start with lots of allergies and it's still a bit scary but much improved. And she now occasionally sleeps through the night :) what are your plans for the big birthday? My son (now 5) had his first birthday during COVID so we didn't do much other than first cake

MumDaisy1980 · 07/02/2025 20:22

@Janeykat glad your daughter is doing well!
yes time flies! I felt like the mama-to do list is only getting longer. I never manage to cross out anything lol. my son has been well too which means the sleeps in recent weeks was not bad. Past months were awful as everyone was ill. But now whole family is in good health. For the 1st year bday not really have actual plan yet… but would like to get a baby/ family photoshoot around the time.
my personal trainer suggests me to invite all the babies (+ parents) from nursery . But thinking of organising or hosting an event already sound like a headache to me!
perhaps a fancy cake might be a plan!! 😊

We have just booked a local hall for my son's first birthday. We have invited our family and a few friends, there will be around 30 people. I'm planning on doing some food, cake and putting some toys out and a ball pit. I'm not inviting the children and parents from nursery though, that would be mayhem and at this age I'm not sure he really knows who they are or has any attachment to them. I know he won't remember the day but I will and he will have a brilliant time regardless (hopefully). If we weren't doing the party we would have probably taken him out somewhere for the day. We have also booked a cake smash. I've decided to just go for it 🙈 not sure if I'm crazy tbh, pretty sure my husband thinks so 😂

How is everyone getting now that their babies are 1? Is anyone else already pregnant again? I just had to join the due in Dec 25 thread and feeling odd about it 🙈

Iamcatmum · 25/04/2025 16:32

@Pinkstuffs wow congratulations - that’s so exciting! How are you feeling?

The broodiness is hitting me ngl, but we are a way off planning number 2 - little one is still waking up a lot at night and hasn’t been the easiest baby so think we need a bit of a gap.

Nynm23 · 20/05/2025 14:58

@Pinkstuffs ive just joined the Jan 2025 group. Are we crazy?

I kinda fell off updating here with the fetal growth restriction issue, then when she was born we were in the depths of severe reflux. Until 7 months. It was a lot.

can’t say I loved the newborn phase, probably because of the reflux, but the 1 year age is great and so fun.

God speed 😂

I’ve also only returned to work this month, I dread telling them.

Pinkstuffs · 20/05/2025 16:28

@Nynm23 same! I’m due on NYE. I’m 8 weeks and suffering so badly with sickness that I can’t believe my work haven’t noticed yet. I’m waiting for a promotion or I would tell them and get signed off for a bit.

Pinkstuffs · 20/05/2025 16:29

@Nynm23 also my baby had FGR too. I’m under consultant care in this pregnancy, is it the same for you? I’m not sure what will be different this time, but it was very poorly handled in my last pregnancy.

Did you ever get any reason as to what was causing the FGR? I’m too early for 12 week scan but will likely end up consultant led and elective c section. They were good at regular scanning and Doppler, id say the information was difficult to get out of them. I felt they try and dumb things down for you rather than just give you facts.

I remembered 8 week period last time, it was rough. Did you get it bad last time too? But agree keep quiet if you can re promotion!

No I didn’t, did you? How small was your baby? My DS was 5lb 10oz born at 39 weeks. They messed up a lot of scans and admit he should have been born earlier. For some reason at my 38 weeks growth scan they didn’t actually do Doppler scans and said it was against their policy to repeat the scan?! He’s fine though still tiny.

I had some nausea last time but it’s so much worse this time round! I didn’t have any actual vomiting with my DS.

Edited

38 weeks by elective c section and 5lbs 13oz.

Took ages for her to put on weight, probably until we started weaning - the reflux had a lot to answer for there I’d say. She’s now on the 75th centile for weight and 50th for height so no long term issues evident thus far.

Which is odd, as I’m 5’9 so was predicted her to be longer. If the same this time, I will definitely ask many more questions this time.

I had HG until 20 weeks, it was rough. Do speak to your GP as they can prescribe anti sickness - which can help ease the nausea.

MumDaisy1980 · 23/05/2025 21:29

@Pinkstuffs Many congratulations!!

I have been enjoying this group a lot and helped me through many hard times as a first time parent.

we trying for #2 but I’ve got scar tissue in my womb, advising me to remove it. Not safe or high chance of miscarriage if go head. But its initial check up , we are still in the middle of thorough analysis. I was quite hardened by it if can’t get number 2. anyone having challenge for number 2?

yes 1yo is adorable and felt all the hard work in newborn stage paid off (or maybe too early to say ha!)
