Hi all! I'm 4 weeks exactly today, due date is 4th August ☺️ This will (hopefully) be DC2!

How is everyone feeling? I've got sore boobs, mild cramps and waves of nausea that I didn't get until week 6 with my DD so I guess it's starting early, lucky me 🥳

@blackcat33 welcome! We have the same due date 🥰 hope you're feeling okay so far!xx

SnookyPook · 05/12/2023 11:58

@MaryHua I should be 7+3 if calculations are correct. Yeah I get feeling apprehensive. I think whenever it is I'd feel a bit nervous though tbh! My MMC baby had stopped developing at 7+5 so that's going to be in my mind anyway even if scan goes well! 😌 just have to be a bit fatalistic I think.. if this one is the rainbow baby then it will all be fine... And if not, I'll have to deal with it as and when 🙏🏼🌈💕

Pixiedust138 · 05/12/2023 12:14

@blackcat33 Congrats! My little boy is 19 months, this will also be my second and im due August 10th!

MaryHua · 05/12/2023 12:31

@SnookyPook so sorry to hear about your previous loss. Praying for this to be your rainbow baby 🌈
Hope all goes well for you with the scan and beyond ✨

warmbutteredtoast · 05/12/2023 12:38

Lots of us seem to be due 12th of August! @Pixiedust138 I have a 17 month old boy, pretty tiring being pregnant with tiny little ones isn't it! @fr4zzledmum how are you? X

warmbutteredtoast · 05/12/2023 12:41

This is probably not helpful to most if you so please ignore it, but there may be a few who find it comforting. It helped me to watch the percent chance of miscarriage decrease daily in my last pregnancy

fr4zzledmum · 05/12/2023 12:52

@warmbutteredtoast thanks for asking (and thank you to everyone else for their kind words).

Thankfully, I've not had any further blood, so I am hoping it's just implantation spotting. I've noticed my boobs aren't sore anymore though, but I suppose time will tell. I told DH which I'm glad of as we can face it together either way.

warmbutteredtoast · 05/12/2023 13:04

@fr4zzledmum That's good, thinking of you. I know it's pessimistic but I'm just waiting for my bleeding to start. It doesn't mean a miscarriage but I always bleed in pregnancy. My boobs are also not sore at all 🤷‍♀️

Thebeansi · 05/12/2023 13:21

Hi everyone! I'm 31 and got my BFP on Saturday after our first try with IUI (same-sex couple). I never thought it would work first time so I'm still reeling (and doing tests every day in the hope it'll eventually sink in!). I'm away at the moment so won't be telling my partner until Friday, which feels like ages!

I'm another with a possible 12th August due date 🙂

etaketak1991 · 05/12/2023 13:22

@fr4zzledmum I'm so glad to hear the bleeding has stopped ☺️ Must have been a shock! My boobs aren't sore now either, but symptoms tend to come and go, especially this early ❤️

Hi

Got my bfp 9dpo, and according to due date calculator im also due around the 12th August.

Excited & nervous with it still being the early stages 🤞🏽

Hating this long wait until the 12 week scan 🤣

EMJL · 05/12/2023 14:56

@cassonjl congratulations!!

12th August seems to be the day 😂😅

Hope you're feeling okay so far xxx

GeographyTeacher · 05/12/2023 17:41

Congratulations to everyone on their BFPs!

I got a letter today saying my booking appointment is next week…at 6W6D…I don’t remember it being so early last time. We also have an early scan booked for the same day as I then go away on holiday for a week, get back and it’s Christmas .

I feel quite anxious about this early scan as I feel like it’s a bit ‘too’ early and I’m tempted to move it back until after Christmas maybe but my husband says we may as well do it. We had an MMC a few days after our last scan so it’s all a bit fragile right now.

Wanting to remain cautiously optimistic for now though xx

MaryHua · 05/12/2023 18:03

Hi @GeographyTeacher
Congratulations on your happy news and sorry to read about your loss.

I'm the same as you regarding anxiety about my early scan. It's booked for 6weeks exactly! And I'm wanting to cancel it, because although it would be nice to have it before Christmas, I just can't live with the anxiety of no heartbeat which could happen as it's just too early. I'd rather just have it after Christmas so I'm thinking of changing it until the New Year.
There are pros and cons to each option though... we plan on telling my family at Christmas too, because we live in Scotland but I'm Irish and I really have always dreamed of telling my parents and grandfather in person. But anxious that that is also tempting fate. 😣

KT86 · 05/12/2023 18:14

Congrats everyone! I'm also joining the club! Got my BFP on Sunday and estimating a due date of about 10th Aug. All being well, this would be my second. I already have a daughter who turns 2 this week!

CatLadyH · 05/12/2023 18:18

So nice to see so many people getting their BFPs. I have my booking in appointment with the midwife arranged now for the 22nd and going to book a private scan for the 22nd as well so we can tell our family just before Christmas. No way could I keep it a secret over the festive season 😂 I’m too partial to a glass of wine everyone would be suspicious!

How are people feeling? Many symptoms yet? I’ve been absolutely shattered and my boobs have been aching quite a bit 😂 starting to get s bit nauseous too in the morning. Hoping these are all good signs. I’m very anxious as like a few other ladies have mentioned I experienced an early loss this year so can’t relax really. Trying to stop the urge to continue to test.

💖

Bugs22mk · 05/12/2023 19:01

@cassonjl @Thebeansi @EMJL i am also meant to be due 12th August 😂

Bugs22mk · 05/12/2023 19:05

Has anyone else had cramps/twinges down there? I woke up the other night and it was quite painful and since has been just discomfort on/off. I don’t have sore boobs or other symptoms I have discovered and keep stressing that AF is going to come even though tests are still positive.

CurlyWurly1991 · 05/12/2023 19:10

@Bugs22mk yes, was just coming on to post about cramps . Quite constant pulling/stretching and heavy sensations. Occasionally like a mild period pain. I seem to notice it more at rest, like when I’m in the bath. Also woke in the night with it. I feel worse as the day goes on with energy declining.
Got my flu jab today and have Covid-19 next week. A bit nervous because we are such early days with the pregnancy but I have quite a lot of exposure to groups of people and have a child in school so really don’t want to catch these viruses.
I’ve only done the one test which was a strong line on the day of my missed period. I see people do ‘progression’ now but I think it would cause me more anxiety. I do have plenty of spare tests though so may be tempted at some point!

I've bookmarked this page now, I'm not a particularly anxious person but it's good to know! I did update it with my age and that showed a definite increase in risk 😬

warmbutteredtoast · 05/12/2023 19:29

@cassonjl @Bugs22mk Welcome to the 12th August gang!

warmbutteredtoast · 05/12/2023 19:30

Anyone else breastfeeding at the moment? Wondering how painful it might get...

Pixiedust138 · 05/12/2023 19:33

@GeographyTeacher i had an early scanned book the week of the 19th December but decided to move it for that reason. I’ve had a scan before around 6 weeks, they couldn’t find a heartbeat and it was terrifying not knowing it was too early or something horrible had happened. Thank god it was fine when I went back a week later but I learnt my lesson and would always go in after 7/8 weeks now to avoid that worry/ period of not knowing. I’ve rebook mine for 29th Dec, I’ll be 7 weeks 6 days ☺️

Yes! I can't believe I might never get a break from breastfeeding for another two years tbh!

Hi everyone.
Got my BFP on Friday 😍 but the anxiety has hit!
It would be good if anyone comes across any good non alcoholic drinks for the Christmas period and posts them on here please!
I've tried a red and white wine and they were pretty rough 😧
Had to turn the red into "mulled wine".
They're all just so sweet
