Hi all! I'm 4 weeks exactly today, due date is 4th August ☺️ This will (hopefully) be DC2!

How is everyone feeling? I've got sore boobs, mild cramps and waves of nausea that I didn't get until week 6 with my DD so I guess it's starting early, lucky me 🥳

@Hello98765 It really confuses me. According to the NHS calculator I’m due 11th August with just under 6 weeks and the last period date on 8 November. These are just estimates but I don’t really understand 🤣

Weird! Although my last period started on 28 October. I think I ovulated around 18 November. So I’m maybe a week ahead of you - think I’m 6 weeks 4 days atm.

FluffyKitty007 · 19/12/2023 20:49

@EMJL @justlonelystars there is one already called Babies due August 2024 UK. It’s meant to be private so no one can see you’re in it. Unless other people you know are due at the same time 🤣

justlonelystars · 19/12/2023 21:33

@FluffyKitty007 is that a mumsnet one though or open to everyone in the world? I’m in a little group of 50 or so for my June 21 baby and it was (and still is) lifeline and because there’s not many of us, we really got to know each other and our babies!
@EMJL okay, sounds good! I’ll keep an eye out in the new year

SMD16 · 19/12/2023 21:39

Evening! Can I join you all please? Just got a BFP today... baby number 2 pending!

@MrsH1990 really hope you are okay. It is the worst feeling having to wait :(

Thank you ❤️

@MrsH1990 @dg3131 This is slightly reassuring. I'm 7+1 today and had some cramping low down for the last hour and a small amount of blood when I wipe. I would say pink rather than red. Trying to pray - after my MC last year I'm terrified. Also told work today that I'm expecting so worrying I've jinxed myself. So reassuring to hear other are having this too though and hoping it's normal - I don't remember having similar with my first.

Hoping things okay with you too 🤞❤️ xxxx let's hope we have sticky beans 🥰 xxx

ElizaGolightly · 19/12/2023 21:44

Fingers crossed, good luck to you too! @MrsH1990

Impossiblemango · 19/12/2023 21:54

Hi all, I'm 30, first pregnancy, 5 weeks and 2 days I believe. According to a calculator would be due on August 18th. It's a bit overwhelming at the moment and seems a long wait until the appointments will begin.

FluffyKitty007 · 19/12/2023 22:10

@justlonelystars It’s an open group for everyone in the UK. There are about 200 in there now.

A MN group sounds good 😊

warmbutteredtoast · 19/12/2023 22:39

@MrsH1990 So sorry you're going through this, it's so stressful. I had bleeding with all 3 of my previous pregnancies and only 1 was a miscarriage so it's definitely possible/probable that it will be fine, but I completely understand the terror. Hugs to you xx

Aww thank you this is reassuring. Sorry about your previous MC.
I've had 4 Miscarriages and 1 Beautfiul little boy, I didn't bleed at all with him,
I also think I have PTSD from my MC in April as I haemorrhaged & had to get rushed to theatre, I was 11.5 weeks & had a scan at 6 weeks and seen a healthy heartbeat. So I am suffering with PTSD thinking that may happen again 😫🙈
I'm trying to be positive but feel like the odds are against me. (If you knew me you wouldn't believe this as I'm usually such a positive person).
Anyway thanks you for this xxx

Colleenbrown9229 · 19/12/2023 23:15

Had my first visit with midwife today, going to call tomorrow and schedule my ultrasound. I'm actually feeling great most of the time. Have odd nausea. But as long as I eat something and drink plenty I'm fine. My breast size has doubled...my husband is loving that lol 🤣

NelliePig · 20/12/2023 06:51

Agree, 50 people ish in my last period fb group too. Many more than that and you don't get to know each other imo 🙈

warmbutteredtoast · 20/12/2023 06:51

@MrsH1990 I'm so sorry to hear about the m/c's especially the one on April I'm not surprised you have some PTSD from that ❤️ How old is your little boy? Really really wishing you a healthy pregnancy x

NelliePig · 20/12/2023 06:52

** pregnancy

fsr111 · 20/12/2023 07:16

Sorry, bit delayed on updating after my scan on Monday but all went great and heard the little heartbeat. Hope yours did too @Pixiedust138. Great to see the other good scan news yesterday too!
The tiredness and nausea is completely wiping me out. I feel like I'm being a terrible parent to DD4 who is just so excited about Christmas and I just want to sleep all the time. Can't wait for the Christmas break from work, but also worried about being a rubbish mum to her! How everyone else with older DC surviving the first trimester? I'd love some tips!

Herewegoagain49 · 20/12/2023 07:25

Plucking up the courage to join this thread!
I think I'm 5+3 today with hopefully my third child. I've had an ectopic pregnancy and an early (just before 6 weeks) miscarriage already this year, so feeling a bit nervous. I think if this doesn't work out then it's probably the end of thinking of #3 for us
I had very sore nipples and afternoon nausea last week, but they seem to have faded a bit, adding to my nerves. Tests are still very dark though whereas with my miscarriage they started getting lighter by now.

warmbutteredtoast · 20/12/2023 08:10

@Herewegoagain49 Welcome! You sound a bit like me, previous m/c, still testing, analzing symptoms, also my third child and will also probably not try for another if we lose this one, I can't take the stress of pregnancy anymore! How old are your older 2? I've got a 7 year old and an 18 month old. I'm tired!

Herewegoagain49 · 20/12/2023 08:51

Thank you @warmbutteredtoast. Yes I think the cycle of anxiety is too much to keep putting myself through this if it doesn't work out. My two are 3 and 5, so will be just turned 6 and about to turn 4 at this one's due date! Hoping the slightly bigger gap will help with being outnumbered!

SunSparkle · 20/12/2023 09:06

@Jazzberryjam23 I had hyperemesis in my last pregnancies and this time around I am on preventative care with promethazine, B6 and xonvea. It's working - I'm nauseous but haven't been sick so far but oh my gosh, the meds are so sleep inducing. I have to nap in the middle of my work day and I sleep for 9/10 hours each night. I'm very difficult to wake in the morning. But it is helping in that I'm hydrated and nourished. I do think that the sickness will still come but it's nothing like it was the previous times. Having to balance feeling like I'm a walking zombie with keeping myself healthy is really hard.

We've got a scan tomorrow at 7+2 but have to take our toddler (the private scan allows it). Not sure whether to take her in or not. I think it might be a bit confusing for her. Also got a second scan booked at 10 weeks as my MMC stopped growing at 9 weeks and I don't want another shock at my 12 week scan.

FirstTimeMumma2021 · 20/12/2023 09:07

Agree, we have about 30ish members 2 years later on fb group x

pontipinemum · 20/12/2023 10:49

@FirstTimeMumma2021 I'm in a fb group for July 2022 babies we still chat. It's lovely

CurlyWurly1991 · 20/12/2023 10:58

@SunSparkle good to hear you are experiencing success with the meds, despite the annoying side effects!
i have started taking 50mg b6 daily and - I don’t want to speak too soon - but the impact on my nausea has been really significant. I think it’s hard to underestimate the effect of first trimester symptoms on mental health, so any small win needs to be celebrated! I ate a mince pie!! 🥳

Blueberry1990 · 20/12/2023 11:19

My original due date was 30th July but that's now been changed to August 6th as I have long cycles so joining the August due dates.
Is there an August facebook group?
