Hi all! I'm 4 weeks exactly today, due date is 4th August ☺️ This will (hopefully) be DC2!

How is everyone feeling? I've got sore boobs, mild cramps and waves of nausea that I didn't get until week 6 with my DD so I guess it's starting early, lucky me 🥳

@CharTT33 congratulations to you!!

@123456789ss I hope it goes well. Yes with DS I went for lots of early scans. At that point you want to see the gestational sac + yolk. Don't be alarmed if they don't see the heartbeat. I hope it all goes well x

Thank you - seems it's still very early days but after A LOT of searching she eventually found the heartbeat 💓

KT86 · 19/12/2023 13:51

@123456789ss and @CharTT33 congratulations on the positive scans 🥰🎉

pontipinemum · 19/12/2023 14:52

@123456789ss fantastic! how far along are you? I am absolutely itching to go for a scan but I really don't think there is any point until next week

SV12 · 19/12/2023 15:19

Congratulations to all who have had scans recently, it's so lovely and also reassuring to see everyone posting their pictures!

I was going to wait but I've booked an early one for 3rd of January now when I'll be 7+3 so hoping it will be good enough to see something 😊

I've got my first scan that day too!

Anyone struggling with insomnia? I've always been fine sleeping and I've still no trouble dropping off. I just keep waking up in the early hours, wide awake with a racing heart, and then can't nod off again. I'm exhausted already and only six weeks!

CharTT33 · 19/12/2023 15:27

@123456789ss congrat my love xx

123456789ss · 19/12/2023 15:27

Thank you everyone - it was such torture but have a big sense of relief now (though i was there 2hrs...).
Turns out I'm only about 5weeks 5 days.
They found a cyst on my ovary so I had to stick around to be told that too.
Good luck to anyone getting scans soon too.
I reckon I'll book a private one at about 9 weeks just to check again!
X

CharTT33 · 19/12/2023 15:27

Thanks again every one for the support and lovely messages! ❤️❤️

Jazzberryjam23 · 19/12/2023 16:14

I bet you are both feeling so delighted @CharTT33 and @12123456789ss. I'm so pleased for you both.
I wish I had xray vision and could just see what's going on in there. I'm trying to wait until 8 weeks, but that's another 3.5 weeks away, which feels like a lifetime right now!

Is anyone else struggling with nausea and sickness yet? Mine isn't terrible, but I do feel sick a lot, and I'm vomiting a couple of times a day. I had hyperemesis last time, so I'm going to try taking cyclizine and B6 in the hope I can ward off the worst of it. The cyclizine wiped me out last time, though, so that's not ideal whilst looking after a toddler!

I'm also off work this week as there's a case of slapped cheek. I've had to go and get a blood test at the GP and they will check if I have immunity. So I think a lot of my colleagues suspect I'm pregnant already. One even messaged me to ask if that's why I'm off 🙄

MrsH1990 · 19/12/2023 16:28

Hey ladies,
I'm 7+5 today and had pink when I wipe 😫💔
I'm feeling very disheartened. I've had 2 MC this year, I have a private scan booked for Friday, then meant to be going down south for Xmas.
Phoned the EPU and they said they can book me in for scan at 2.30/3 but I said I couldn't do it as DS is in school. DH said should've just booked it and I could go in on my own whilst he picks DS up. But I didn't want to do that incase was bad news finding out on my own to have another MC 😫
I'm feeling crampy and anxious 😫 😭 cxx

dg3131 · 19/12/2023 16:31

@MrsH1990 sounds like a few of us are having this, I had it yesterday at 7+4, was pink tinged then turned brown. My midwife said they don't worry about that as it normally just the baby nestling further in and can cause things to move around and old blood to be expelled. She said just to call back if turned red. Mine has stopped now so fingers crossed yours does and good luck for your scan 🤞🏼

RiverBear · 19/12/2023 16:47

@Thebeansi I've been waking up more than once every night because I'm either uncomfortable, too hot, need to pee, too hungry, or feel sick. Last night I woke up to a racing pounding heart though so good to know I'm not the only one!

CurlyWurly1991 · 19/12/2023 16:53

Yes @RiverBear @Thebeansi I had the exact same last night. Was so hot and had a pounding fast heart. I also have covid so thought it was related to that but as that seems to be improving it’s probably another pregnancy symptom.

Those suffering nausea - I heard about B6 and concentrated ginger capsules, and have tried both out. Both seemed to have an effect seperately! It’s weird because I feel a bit uneasy when the nausea goes away, but it is such a relief to be able to eat a normal ish snack/small meal - today I’ve had apple, Brazil nuts, cheese on toast… I’ve struggled to have anything much over the past few days so it’s been great to actually eat.

Hello98765 · 19/12/2023 16:58

Hello everyone.

I'm new here but been lurking! due August 10th so just under 7 weeks right now.

Has anyone else barely had any symptoms at all? Just sore boobs - nothing else at all. Makes me nervous.

Thought about an early scan but Christmas is kind of getting in the way - too early to do before Christmas and only waiting a few weeks in January so seems a bit pointless to do it afterwards, so might leave it, but the prospect of a MMC is terrifying.

Telling myself that if I'm not bleeding, signs are everything is so far so good.

Thank you, I'm still worrying so much.
They had 2.30/3 on Thursday earliest for scan but I can't do that as will have no one to pick DS up. I have a private one booked in for Friday as Ds will be in school. I'm
Hoping all is ok 🤞
Hope all is okay with everyone else.
I never had this with DS and with having 4 Miscarriages I'm
Shitting myself 💔😭 xxxx

FirstTimeMumma2021 · 19/12/2023 17:36

@Bells3032 I think it totally depends on your health board. When I was last pregnant I asked about it (more out of curiosity as I get prescribed 5mg anyway due to medication for epilepsy) and was told no that was only for people with a bmi over 35 or more if they felt it necessary 😂
I'm in Scotland and so grateful with the amount of prenatal care we get here along with resources and freebies! X

justlonelystars · 19/12/2023 18:20

Completely forgot about the worst pregnancy symptom - i.e. my nipples turning into shards of glass at the merest hint of cold. Been off food today but starving hungry - just don't fancy anything!

I asked on one of my previous posts but don't think anyone replied - has a facebook group been set up? Happy to set one up if anyone else would like one! I find it much easier to check and keep up with than MN!

DisneyLady1 · 19/12/2023 18:28

@Jazzberryjam23 I've just been prescribed Cyclizine after a bad 24 hours over the weekend where I was getting quite badly dehydrated. You are right about it knocking you out! I fell asleep within an hour of taking the first dose! Gosh I don't know how you did it with hyperemesis. That must have been the hardest thing to get through.

It is a tough gig managing the nausea with a toddler in tow - you're so right! It's all about CBeebies and playing games that involve me lying down on the floor at the moment!

Congratulations on the scans @CharTT33 @123456789ss that is really lovely news.

DisneyLady1 · 19/12/2023 18:29

@MrsH1990 really hope you are okay. It is the worst feeling having to wait :(

EMJL · 19/12/2023 18:45

@justlonelystars I was planning on setting one up in the new year 😊 I think the consensus was to wait until everyone was a little bit further along xx

SnookyPook · 19/12/2023 20:26

@Hello98765 🙋🏼‍♀️ 7 weeks today and very similar. Boobs have been my pretty much only symptom. Bit gassy and a bit more hungry. Having had 3 losses this year it's making me very nervous tbh, especially reading about what everyone else is experiencing! However, I know every pregnancy is different and some just don't come with many symptoms. It's not necessarily a bad thing at all and hopefully when we're safely further down the line we'll just be able to feel lucky that we didn't have too much going on! It probably sounds so wrong to those who are really suffering with sickness etc but right now I really wish I did have some more symptoms for the reassurance that something is going on!!

ElizaGolightly · 19/12/2023 20:33

@MrsH1990 @dg3131 This is slightly reassuring. I'm 7+1 today and had some cramping low down for the last hour and a small amount of blood when I wipe. I would say pink rather than red. Trying to pray - after my MC last year I'm terrified. Also told work today that I'm expecting so worrying I've jinxed myself. So reassuring to hear other are having this too though and hoping it's normal - I don't remember having similar with my first.
