Hi all! I'm 4 weeks exactly today, due date is 4th August ☺️ This will (hopefully) be DC2!

How is everyone feeling? I've got sore boobs, mild cramps and waves of nausea that I didn't get until week 6 with my DD so I guess it's starting early, lucky me 🥳

@winterspinach Its nice to hear other people feeling the same. Thank you and you too ❤️
@GeographyTeacher such amazing news congratulations!
@Bells3032 glad you had a great scan, congratulations!

Slowcookertea · 16/12/2023 13:43

@Bells3032 and @GeographyTeacher congratulations! So lovely to see your scans, such lovely news 🥰

@CatLadyH well done for going to your Christmas do! I have cancelled two this week as my nausea is literally 24/7. I can eat which is good, but the thought of sitting round a table making conversation is enough to put me off!

We’re telling my parents today which is very exciting - and someone else to complain to about how I feel 😂

Mc36 · 16/12/2023 14:07

Anyone else over 6 weeks with no symptoms!? Argh, some would be reassuring following spotting on wiping at 4 weeks.
Starting to make me anxious! Considering early scan at maybe 7 or 9 weeks.

MissSB18 · 16/12/2023 15:04

Hi ladies. Been stalking you all for a bit 😊 I tested positive really early, nearly 3 weeks ago now, I'm 6+0 and original EDD 10.08.24. I've been for an early scan this morning 🥰 baby is in the right place, measuring 2 days ahead so 6+2 & a nice little flicker of heartbeat ❤️ this is my second baby, little boy is 5!
My sickness is pretty constant already but all other symptoms come & go! Hope you're all doing well 🤗 and I hope you dont mind me joining xx

Due August 2024!
KT86 · 16/12/2023 15:21

@fr4zzledmum I know how much anxiety the bleeding / spotting can cause! I had bleeding most days for a big chunk of the first trimester with my DD. It's absolutely horrible and so hard not to overthink. How is the spotting now?

@Bells3032 congratulations 🥰🥰

MrsEminem · 16/12/2023 16:03

Hi everyone
Did a test on Tuesday that came up positive which will make me 5w due around Aug 16th. This will be DC2.

This pregnancy is completely unplanned. And unfortunately the baby's dad isn't too thrilled about it and has suggested I have an abortion. But I know that's not something I can do, so may be looking at being a single parent.

fr4zzledmum · 16/12/2023 16:43

@KT86 unfortunately it's not stopped - had quite a bit just a moment ago on the toilet paper - nothing in the toilet or underwear yet.

I've started with very occasional uncomfortable cramps.

So nothing is certain either way, but feeling really low. DH is working late tonight and I have to go to a little family party and pretend like everything is okay, but I'm stressing.

SunSparkle · 16/12/2023 17:13

ive missed so much!

congrats @GeographyTeacher ! What a surprise!! I would have fallen off the scanning bed in shock!

@Bells3032 lovely scan pic!

@ThelastRolo20 i too found out about a MMC at my 12 week scan. Will you go for an earlier one for reassurance?

SunSparkle · 16/12/2023 17:16

I’ve got a scan booked next Thursday when I should be 7+2 I think. And will try for another one at 10 weeks.

im on all the meds for nausea and sickness and so far I’ve avoided being sick and the nausea is annoying but mostly manageable. Compared to my last two experiences this is better so far so I can only be thankful. I do just get fatigue out of nowhere.

anyone had any food cravings? My first pregnancy was tropical fruit, my second was for curry/biryani. This one is for hashbrowns!

Mummymum83 · 16/12/2023 17:25

Hi, I'm looking for some advice. I'm a mum of a 17 and a half year old and am 41 in a few weeks. Last week I discovered that I'm pregnant and due in August 24. The man I am with is a childhood friend and we only reconnected in July of this year. His marriage broke up about a year ago and he has 2 kids. This was not planned and I'm really struggling to get my head around it. We have talked about options and he thinks an abortion is best. He said that he is worried about the impact it would have on his relationship with his kids. But I've told him that I can't have an abortion, I just can't do it. Now I feel like I want to stay away from him because I don't know what to say and I don't even know if I could look at him, given that I can't do what he wants. No-one else knows about the pregnancy and I feel alone and very anxious. I don't know who to speak to.

Mummymum83 · 16/12/2023 17:28

@MrsEminem I'm in a similar situation

FirstTimeMumma2021 · 16/12/2023 17:38

Hope it's okay to join! Just got my bfp (really unexpectedly this morning!)

This will be DC2 for us due mid/end of August.

Hope everyone is doing okay x

etaketak1991 · 16/12/2023 17:40

Congratulations @GeographyTeacher @Bells3032 and @MissSB18 on your scans!! How exciting ❤️

I've finally got my booking appointment through for the beginning of Jan, I'll be almost 10 weeks at that point! I've got tonsillitis so could really have used the maternity exemption certificate for the antibiotics 😂 Hope everyone is keeping well, I've lost 4lbs due to nausea 🤪

@Mummymum83 in my situation I do understand where he is coming from by asking me to have an abortion. He has a very complicated relationship with his ex, he also has a very complicated past, and he is alot older than me. But I can't stay away from him, because we work together, but I also don't really want to.. I just wish he felt differently

NelliePig · 16/12/2023 17:53

@Mc36 please don't worry. I drove myself crazy last time comparing myself to everyone, but I didn't have any nausea or anything except some slightly sore boobs.
This time round, I feel a little stretchy in my tummy and slightly sore boobs but that's it, I've had my HCG done too and perfectly fine for my dates, some people just are lucky and cope with pregnancy really well with no nausea etc! X

CurlyWurly1991 · 16/12/2023 17:53

@Mummymum83 That sounds like a very difficult situation to be in. Do you have a friend you could talk to about it? Do you feel you would like to have another baby?

My news is that I’ve got covid. Don’t feel very good (on top of nearly 6 week pregnancy symptoms) so feeling a bit sorry for myself.

CurlyWurly1991 · 16/12/2023 17:54

Oh and someone asked about cravings. Yes !! I am just obsessed with Chinese food. Crispy noodles, spring rolls, sweet and sour etc. Prawns. Bought prawn crackers today and dipped them in sweet chilli sauce and was in heaven 🤤

TigerJoy · 16/12/2023 18:12

Hi all

I'm due mid-August - very much planned and longed for pregnancy and I know conception date exactly as this was IVF.

I'm 45, this is my first, feeling a bit terrified as well as excited. Also feeling v sick and dizzy.

Also, and this sounds a bit mad, I'm convinced my nipples look different...

KT86 · 16/12/2023 18:38

@fr4zzledmum is there any way you can cancel or would you quite like the possibility of it being a bit of a distraction?

Can you contact your EPU for advice? Xx

ThelastRolo20 · 16/12/2023 19:39

@SunSparkle I'm not sure, I think I might go for one at 10 weeks which is around the time the last baby passed. It's also close enough to the 12 week scan that hopefully things will be okay! I hope your scan goes well on Thursday 😊

Edited

I went for a little - I couldn't make an excuse because its the house across the road.

Our EPU is only open Monday to Friday and there's no phone number listed.

NelliePig · 16/12/2023 20:22

Anyone else with reflux/heartburn? Was on omeprazole for it with my first and not sure if I've eaten/drank something or if it's starting already 🤔

warmbutteredtoast · 16/12/2023 20:45

@fr4zzledmum Thinking of you, so sorry it's so stressful. I had cramps and bleeding with clots in my last pregnancy and all was fine so it is possible but totally understand the fear xx

123456789ss · 16/12/2023 22:53

Will the EPU see you for a scan if you've had some bleeding (as long as you're at 6 weeks)?

JHL93 · 17/12/2023 03:58

Hi everyone, would love to join 💕 I'm still not due my period until Tuesday but have been testing positive for a few days, this was our first cycle of trying so was a shock we caught so quick - based on my LMP I would be due around August 27th so just scraping in for the August thread! This is DC #3 for us after having 2 girls (5&3) slight nausea has kicked in already but main symptom is just...eating. I can eat anything and everything and hope this doesn't continue 😂 I will be doing an early scan for when I'm around 7 weeks I think. Wish you all healthy pregnancies 💕
