Hi all! I'm 4 weeks exactly today, due date is 4th August ☺️ This will (hopefully) be DC2!

How is everyone feeling? I've got sore boobs, mild cramps and waves of nausea that I didn't get until week 6 with my DD so I guess it's starting early, lucky me 🥳

Bloods came back at 281 HCG and scan booked for 6 weeks ish on the 29th! Phew. Relief 😂

CharTT33 · 15/12/2023 16:57

@BellsB1 Hey thanks for your reply… it’s weird because my sore boob have come back not sure if it’s as much before, I just think I am over thinking every tiny little thing… Tuesday cannot come quick enough I’ll be 7 weeks 1 day.

@Holrebbea Hey, it’s so strange pregnancy everyone experiences, different things, because when I miscarried the last couple of times, all my symptoms went and then the bleeding started. It’s just crazy! I’m thinking of you regarding your Scan and the bleeding, we just have to be positive! My partner doesn’t really understand the whole symptom thing, he’s just your typical man. So annoying honestly. I love him to bits but he has no clue. Xx

warmbutteredtoast · 15/12/2023 17:37

@CharTT33 Just to add re. bleeding that in my 18month old DS's pregnancy I bled lots all through 1st trimester and he was fine 🤷‍♀️ So even with a bleed it can be ok xxx

CharTT33 · 15/12/2023 17:52

Thanks I’ve read that lot… @warmbutteredtoast honestly this whole thing is just unpredictable… I’m currently doing online Xmas shopping to take my mind of it all! 😂🤣😂

justlonelystars · 15/12/2023 18:18

Just received my booking in appointment for when I’ll only be 6 weeks along - anyone else got one this early? With DS I didn’t have one until I was 9 weeks!

Isitisit · 15/12/2023 18:28

@justlonelystars Mine is at 6 weeks but I’m high risk

EMJL · 15/12/2023 18:29

@justlonelystars they gave me one for Monday when I'll be 6 week, but I'm away so I rebooked and the only one they could give me was for when I'm 9 weeks in January. You could try and rearrange?x

justlonelystars · 15/12/2023 18:29

@Isitisit Ah that might be it. Going to be under 5 separate hospital trusts this time around (was only 3 last time 😂)

justlonelystars · 15/12/2023 18:31

@EMJL i think it might be because I’m high risk thinking about it. I’ll be under 5 different trusts and will have quite a complicated pregnancy! I’m also away on the day they’ve given so do need to rearrange, hopefully they’ll have something for when I’m 7-8 weeks!

fr4zzledmum · 15/12/2023 18:39

@dg3131 lovely to hear of your scan!

fr4zzledmum · 15/12/2023 18:44

@GeographyTeacher how did you get on at your scan today? Thinking of you Flowers

NelliePig · 15/12/2023 18:58

I don't think Booking in date matters as long as its before the cut off for certain tests via done blood screening or something... I've not got a Booking appointment yet, even tho I've had bloods and a scan booked for the 29th. I expect my scan on the 29th they might use that date too book in at between 8-10 weeks. No idea 🥴

fr4zzledmum · 15/12/2023 18:59

I am well and truly putting myself out there, but does anyone else just STINK? 😂 I've been absolutely sweating in bed at night and have been having a shower morning and night, but still feel like I'm a bit whiffy 🪰 Honestly think I smelt like what I had for dinner last night (paprika chicken).

Welshgal85 · 15/12/2023 19:23

I had my booking appointment this week at 6weeks, just put it down to them wanting to get it sorted before Xmas maybe!

what’s everyone eating at the moment? Constant nausea here and finding it hard. I go between feeling really sick to really hungry! I’ve been eating a lot of crackers and ginger biscuits between meals but getting fed up of them now 😂🙈

justlonelystars · 15/12/2023 19:23

@fr4zzledmum could it be that your sense of smell is more sensitive? Ask your DP if you’re more stinky than usual and if he doesn’t think so, probably your sense of smell!

justlonelystars · 15/12/2023 19:24

@Welshgal85 mine is New Year’s Eve. I mixed up my dates and I’m not even 4 weeks yet (4 weeks tomorrow) so it’s still a little while off!

CurlyWurly1991 · 15/12/2023 19:53

@Welshgal85 really struggling with food too. Feel intermittently starving but just don’t fancy anything and a lot of foods are just repulsive to me right now… eggs 🤮

Small meals/snacks are helping rather than big meals.

GeographyTeacher · 15/12/2023 19:54

Evening everyone - big thank you to everyone who sent their kind words of support.

I cannot quite believe I’m writing this but we went to our reassurance scan this evening to be told we are having TWINS and they are measuring bang on (7 and 7+2). I have never been more shocked in my whole life and it’s still not sunk in. It’s the best Christmas present we could have ever asked for and I just pray everything goes ok…

I also had my booking appointment today where I sobbed in front of the midwife because I felt so overwhelmed by being back in the maternity unit after our mmc 6 months ago. She was actually lovely and very reassuring.

Good luck to everyone with upcoming scans and appointments I have everything crossed for you xxx

Due August 2024!
