Hi all! I'm 4 weeks exactly today, due date is 4th August ☺️ This will (hopefully) be DC2!

How is everyone feeling? I've got sore boobs, mild cramps and waves of nausea that I didn't get until week 6 with my DD so I guess it's starting early, lucky me 🥳

All the luck today @GeographyTeacher. Will be thinking of you. Have my scan on Monday and the nerves are building already!

I've woken up feeing horrendous. I feel sick but also have a tummy ache at the same time?! I'm hoping it's a good sign but I'm not ready to feel like this for months 😬 How do people look after a toddler in early pregnancy?!

@NelliePig fingers crossed it all goes smoothly for you. I'm worried to go meds free to put it mildly. I had a flare earlier this year and ended up off work for three months until they found a medication that worked. Unfortunately I've exhausted all the pregnancy safe options and they don't tend to work twice otherwise I'd go back on the meds I used during my pregnancy with DD. I had no symptoms at all in that pregnancy though all the way through until I stopped breastfeeding.

I wish they scanned you during the booking in appointment. I've got to decide whether to book an early scan to check everything is okay or wait for 12 weeks...

@warmbutteredtoast i know how you feel! Horrendous nausea and fatigue this morning and my toddler is grumpy and teething! Changing his nappy this morning was not a fun task with pregnancy nausea 🤢

5 weeks exactly today and have the WORST back pain, could barely sleep and cant sit still with the discomfort! Is this normal? Also any baby friendly remedies would be great!

I think I'm going to book an early scan for between Christmas and New Year, but I might hold off until January. I should be 7 weeks on the 25th, but don't want a scan a couple of days before just in case.. unless I have any bleeding or something that makes me think I actually need to.

Hope everyone is feeling OK today. I was definitely very nauseous this morning. Trying not to make it obvious that I wasn't drinking at my Christmas party was harder than I thought it would be.

I definitely have the nausea and sickness already. I had to run to the bathroom at work to retch/burp/vomit and again during a show at the theatre last night. I've had a few episodes of that now. I am also eating tons of ready salted crisps as that seems to help the watery mouth and feelings of nausea. I am only 5 weeks but had HG last time. Last time, my sickness kicked in at 6 weeks and never stopped till the baby was born. My other symptom is sore boobs!

Re testing I got a dye stealer at 18dpo so I have stopped testing. I'm just trying to have faith now that all is well. I'm thinking I will get an early scan too, but I am going to wait until 8 weeks.

Oh I have also phoned booking and have my first midwife appointment, but the first one available was when I'll be 11+4. They also gave me a date for my 12 week scan when I'll be 12+4 (all being well!). Definitely feels real now!

As a first time pregnancy, I don't think my body knows what's hit it 🙈 Nausea hasn't kicked in.. yet.. I'm a bridesmaid for my friend's wedding on Monday so really hoping it stays at bay until after then 😂

@Krb92 my cramps come and go, move around, light/sharp/dull… I think it’s all normal. I had terrible cramps either side after sneezing earlier!

@BellsB1 we’re around the same stage. I was looking at an early scan around 30th dec. Ideally would go with DH but might have to be alone as we don’t have any childcare and are keeping this under wraps from dd(9) until things are more confirmed.

@ElizaGolightly yes, I feel all of this. If you wanna chat about it more send me a PM and we can maybe FB message? Nice to have someone else going through the same thing re meds and AI illnesses.

Called the EPAU this morning because my Rheumatology nurse wanted me in for 3 monthly Bloods, so asked EPAU can I do those today as well instead of going back to hospital (45 mins away or so). So hopefully will be getting a call soon with results. Don't know what I'm waiting on exactly, someone to say yes, you are pregnant there's HCG in your blood? 😂 I mean, I've done enough tests to know that. Anyway, virtual hand hold needed because I'm definitely nervous even tho I don't know why 🙈

Can anyone who's vomited in pregnancy confirm; did you just feel sick and then vomit or did you ever have a really painful tummy too, like bad indigestion pain? I've vomited twice this morning and had a lot of stomach pain, trying to work out if it's morning sickness or a bug, I never vomited in my other pregnancies

So updated:

I was losing my sore boob for like 20 mins or so then it would come back over the last couple of days… it went last night around 22:30ish and has not come back since as sore as it was anyway. if I prod and poke I feel slight soreness but sometimes I think im
just poking really hard and that is causing the soreness… I’ve lost my appetite out of complete worry and anxiety, as I’ve have three consecutive miscarriage, the only difference with this one is there is no bleeding…I have a early scan again next week Tuesday.. I’m taking progesterone and baby aspirin. Any advice or reassurance? It’s really needed right now… 🤯🤯🥹🥹

@CharTT33 My sore boobs definitely came and went in my pregnancies with my boys. Sounds like you're doing everything right with the progesterone and aspirin. Nausea also came and went I was constantly worried I wasn't feeling sick enough or sorry for myself because I felt so sick! Can't win!

@warwarmbutteredtoast I never had pain when I vomited other than pulled muscles from the severity/frequency. But that is just my experience. Do you think it could be a bug? You might have to wait it out and see if it improves and changes. Sorry you've not been feeling well.

I am thinking of going on the 30th too, we will have to find someone to have my DD as I'm nervous to go alone 😂. I'm trying to get as close to 8 weeks as I can without it being 2024

@CharTT33 no advice, I just wanted to say I'm sending my love and thinking of you. It can be so hard trying to symptom spot and not see what you're wanting to. I feel like I have very few symptoms compared to my first pregnancy.

I think you're doing everything right. It's great news that you're not bleeding; I started spotting with my miscarriage and I'm taking no bleeding as a good sign (although I do keep randomly doing tests just to check the lines are still there and it's real).

It sounds like Tuesday can't come soon enough. How far along will you be then? Try to look after yourself xxx

Thanks @Jazzberryjam23 I think it must be a bug as it's weird to have so much stomach pain. It's much much better this afternoon, such a relief 😮‍💨

@CharTT33 - my symptoms have also been coming and going, I should be around 6 weeks and haven't felt sick, and my boobs don't feel too bad. When I had miscarriages last year, my boobs really ached, so symptom spotting doesn't always work/mean anything in my opinion! Hope you're feeling okay about your scan, I've got mine in 2 weeks, just hoping I make it without any bleeding before then.
