Hi all! I'm 4 weeks exactly today, due date is 4th August ☺️ This will (hopefully) be DC2!

How is everyone feeling? I've got sore boobs, mild cramps and waves of nausea that I didn't get until week 6 with my DD so I guess it's starting early, lucky me 🥳

@Becsim congratulations on your fourth! Don’t let anyone dampen your spirits and happiness, I can never understand why people feel the need to judge anyone else’s choices regarding how many kids they have, it is absolutely not their business or problem! Wishing you a healthy pregnancy 💗

Becsim · 14/12/2023 00:12

Thank you @winterspinach ❤️

Good morning ladies, I know it's early but is anyone thinking they might be having twins maybe because they run in their family 🙈

They run in my family and I know DH would be shocked if we ended up having twins 😂
Everyone tends to go from 1 child to three. I even have an aunt who had 3 sets of twins.

I have my 1st scan on the 5th Jan so we will know soon enough.

Wishing everyone with upcoming scans all the best and looking forward to reading all the good news over Christmas 💕

Morning ladies

I had a bit of bleeding last night and this morning.
It was after DTD, which I know can result in bleeding in pregnancy due to changes, but it seemed like quite a bit 😕

Should I call the midwives to see if I can get checked?

I saw on the EPU website that you can only go if you're 6+ weeks, and I'm only about 5 1/2, so wonder if they'll just tell me to wait and see....?

Can't help but worry. I've been super anxious anyway and continued testing everyday.
TIA ☺️

CurlyWurly1991 · 14/12/2023 07:18

@123456789ss oh sorry you are going through that. Is it light/heavy? Hopefully it’s just the cervix feeling a bit sensitive, bleeding after dtd? I get this anyway sometimes as I have cervical ectropion x

@ChildrenOfTheQuorn
thanks, that does make sense. Will look a bit further into it x

SnookyPook · 14/12/2023 08:00

@123456789ss sorry you're feeling worried. It most likely is a result of irritation due to sex. If you're worried about anything it's never daft to ring EPU. They may well say wait and see but at least you've tried. Meantime, try not to panic (easier said than done I know!) All kinds of things can cause a bit of bleeding in early pregnancy without being sinister. 💕

Thanks so much ☺️ I was concerned at first but think that must have been what it was.
I might ring anyway just to see what they say ☺️

48 hours til my scan. I am so so nervous now!!

Not really got much in the way of symptoms yet but didn't get much til about 7 weeks with my DD.

Just so so tired but not sure if that's the pregnancy or just Winter/nearly christmas and not had a break in ages.

SnookyPook · 14/12/2023 09:43

@Bells3032 aw thinking of you! I was also 7 weeks when symptoms ramped up with my DS. What will you be on scan day? (Apologies as you've no doubt said before)

Bells3032 · 14/12/2023 09:44

I'll be 6+3 on scan day. i am getting pain in my hip joints when i get up too quickly etc which is weird

ThelastRolo20 · 14/12/2023 09:48

Hey! Can I join - had a 12 week miscarriage in October and I'm now pregnant again! I'd be due 20th August or thereabouts 😊 hoping this one has a better outcome!

CurlyWurly1991 · 14/12/2023 10:49

Welcome @ThelastRolo20 how are you feeling? Very sorry to hear about your previous loss x

CurlyWurly1991 · 14/12/2023 10:59

@Bells3032 i get that too with my hips. I had severe spd in my first pregnancy and for me I think the niggles are the beginnings of it. Take care not to seperate your legs too much, keep together when getting in and out of car, into bed etc. Check out the pelvic partnership website. If it’s the start of SPD, prevention of it getting worse is important.

ThelastRolo20 · 14/12/2023 11:17

Thank you @CurlyWurly1991 feeling absolutely fine at the moment. Neither of my previous pregnancies (including the one resulting in my now toddler) came with many symptoms so I'm not expecting much other than tiredness.

Just trying to debate whether to have an early scan or to just leave it. At least I have Christmas to occupy me for a few weeks. How far along are you? X

AH2023 · 14/12/2023 11:39

@RiverBear I had terrible brest tenderness yesterday, but today its basiclally gone! Just tired. I am 4+5. I have read for some people it just comes and goes intermittently.

Just taking each day as it comes. I have extremely mild cramps also but today I actually feel normal?

FluffyKitty007 · 14/12/2023 11:44

Anyone else with the pregnancy brain? I wanted to go to the gym yesterday after work and brought a whole bag with me but forgot trainers!

now I’m really struggling to focus at work. I had a decent day yesterday but now I’m struggling again 😞

pontipinemum · 14/12/2023 11:47

@AJcats22 I'm not testing every day but every so often. I had an early MC last month and even though I was trying to be super positive I think I knew because the lines just weren't right. This time though thankfully they are getting darker and darker. I had blood done yesterday and will re-do them Friday which will hopefully put me at ease.

@SnookyPook it can be worrying not having symptoms. I had two MCs before DS. One I need a D&C the other was 'natural' but took about 6 weeks to complete. Not having symptoms with DS then made me so paranoid. Although looking bad I did have them I just didn't really link it to pregnancy. There were a few girls in my last group who had no symptoms.

@Olivia2019 I do wonder about it, DS was a twin, but the 2nd one never got a heart beat. There are no twins in my family so it might have been a one off. I had my hcg measured yesterday by the app I was 5weeks, but by my reckoning I was 4wks+2 it was 371 so I don't think I am having twins.

Slowcookertea · 14/12/2023 12:35

@FluffyKitty007 I'm really struggling with work. I’ve told my team even though I’m only 6 + 4 weeks cos I’m only functioning at about 50%. Glad to be off for Christmas for 2 weeks!

@Olivia2019 I am completely convinced I’m having twins 😂 I read that you’re more likely to have twins if you have them in your family, are over a certain height and over a certain BMI. So that’s me convinced myself haha. But a scan on Christmas Eve so I’ll find out then I guess!

EMJL · 14/12/2023 12:37

5+3 today and here comes the nausea and food aversions 🤢🤢 I work with my mum and haven't told her yet (trying to wait until Christmas Day) but wow it's not easy to hide the random gagging 😩😂

For some reason, sausage rolls are my absolute aversion trigger at the minute. The mere thought of them makes me heave.

EMJL · 14/12/2023 12:42

@fr4zzledmum oh I'd be gutted if it was sausage rolls! I'm a childminder and have just dished up lunch for the children and one of them had smoked salmon... that set me off but I had to be discreet 😂

Hope you're feeling okay other than that?xx

fr4zzledmum · 14/12/2023 12:44

RiverBear · 13/12/2023 18:16

Is anyone experiencing less breast tenderness? 🤔 mine still feel bruised when i press down on them but definitely not as bad as last week! I'm 6+1 today according to my app but I think I'm actually 5+5

Mine are definitely less achey - I remember it was like this with my DD, and I'm taking it as a sign that morning sickness is about to smack me silly.

I also forgot how sensitive to cold my nipples got. They hurt so much.

fr4zzledmum · 14/12/2023 12:46

Congrats @Thefaceofboe Grin Welcome to the rabble.

CurlyWurly1991 · 14/12/2023 12:47

@ThelastRolo20 Im feeling more tired than usual and have very sore boobs but otherwise not too terrible. Sensitive smell, very hungry and occasional nausea. It seems to come in waves with me, so I’ll have an exhausted evening if I’ve been busy in the day. I’m lucky I can be quite flexible with work at the moment and work at home under a heated blanket, which helps! I’m between 5 and 6 weeks.
definitely getting cravings for salty foods like olives 😋
I was so nauseous from about 6-7 weeks with my daughter all I could eat was bread, butter and cheese. Really hope I don’t get an aversion to vegetables again because it wasn’t exactly healthy and I put on a huge amount of weight back then!

CurlyWurly1991 · 14/12/2023 12:48

Oh and like others I am seriously demotivated right now. Couldn’t care about anything.
