Hi all! I'm 4 weeks exactly today, due date is 4th August ☺️ This will (hopefully) be DC2!

How is everyone feeling? I've got sore boobs, mild cramps and waves of nausea that I didn't get until week 6 with my DD so I guess it's starting early, lucky me 🥳

Pregnancy is a rollercoaster of all the emotions! A very anxious time indeed.

So sorry to hear your update @sunny1986 💐

fr4zzledmum · 09/12/2023 20:43

Sending you my love @Sunny1986 - I hope you get answers quickly so you can heal Flowers

CharTT33 · 09/12/2023 21:08

@Sunny1986 Hey my love, I’m so sorry you’re going through this! Sending hugs! Please stay strong, one thing I’ve learnt about this whole pregnancy journey is that nothing is straight forward! Women are powerful and strong! Keep ya head up. 😘

Elg90 · 09/12/2023 21:24

Received my early NHS scan & consultant appt @ 7w6d ( had miscarriage earlier this year so have early scan), booking in appt @ 9w and 12 week scan at 12w5d.

Feeling anxious! 🤞🏼🙏🏻🫶🏼

EEP can’t quite believe i’m posting this but Im due on the 17th of August 2024

This is after almost three years of trying and no rhyme or reason for it not happening. Went on holiday a came back this tuesday only to have a cold and be bedridden. Missed my period by a day and felt funny so i took a test and it was super dark! I’m 4+2 💗

FluffyKitty007 · 09/12/2023 23:03

@winterspinach congratulations 🥳

Colleenbrown9229 · 09/12/2023 23:34

I think I'm due August 10th, still doesn't feel real yet. This is my 4th pregnancy. I have two older girls 10 and 12...just nervous as none of my pregnancy tests are very dark unlike previous pregnancies, I have a doctor's appointment on the 19th. So fingers crossed I'm a week late

CurlyWurly1991 · 10/12/2023 07:52

Welcome @Colleenbrown9229 !!

I also have an older girl (nearly 10)

I’m 5 weeks today I think. Started having more like period cramps than the bloaty light cramps before which is a bit disconcerting. Keep thinking my period is about to start 😬

Colleenbrown9229 · 10/12/2023 08:00

Thanks, it's such a scary time , we tried for 7 months.. I've got no memory of being this scared...took a clear blue just now luckily darker than ever which is a relief 😀

ElizaGolightly · 10/12/2023 08:02

Sorry to read your update @Sunny1986. Sending unmumsnetty hugs to you.

Congrats to all the new joiners. I'm in trouble (lighthearted) with my DH. We agreed not to tell anyone and then in conversation with some really good friends last night I mentioned midwives. Oops. They figured it out. So he was a bit unimpressed. He definitely finds it easier to keep it a secret though because he forgets about it for larger periods of time!

Slowcookertea · 10/12/2023 09:10

@ElizaGolightly ah I’m the same! I’ve told a lot more people than my husband but only cos I can’t think of anything else 😂 he admits he finds it easier to not say cos he can not think about it for a while 😂

He doesn’t seem to mind, as long as it’s not mutual or his friends as he would want to share that excitement 🥰

I'm having exactly the same and it's been like this for about a week! Definitely feels exactly like the start of a period but I think it's just one of those things where early pregnancy is a lot like the start of a period.

CurlyWurly1991 · 10/12/2023 10:32

@Thebeansi aw thanks, that’s reassuring. Just feel a bit less nausea today too so it’s made me worried. Either way I guess we can’t do much about the outcome but it does play on my mind a lot. Still really early for any symptoms anyway.

Yeah for sure, it's still very early. I think it's normal for things to come and go. And I have one friend who never felt remotely sick throughout her pregnancy and another who was sick multiple times a day the whole way through! So much variation in experience. The best thing we can do is stay calm and hopeful (easier said than done!)

A lot of my symptoms are because I'm on cylogest - anyone else taking it?

Pllystyrene · 10/12/2023 11:31

Hi everyone, hope it's okay to join. I'm 38 and have found myself unexpectedly pregnant with my 3rd. Although my youngest just turned 13, so it all feels completely new to me! Still in the anxious stage at the moment but allowing myself to be hopeful. I've been struggling alot with bloating, cramps and exhaustion. Literally crawling into bed straight after work. After reading through a few of your comments it looks like alot of us are feeling the same way, hopefully we all start to feel a bit better soon. Keep telling myself I just need to get through the 1st trimester and I'll be fine 🤞💕X

RiverBear · 10/12/2023 11:50

@Thebeansi
@CurlyWurly1991
I'm feeling a bit worried today too (not that that's unusual since testing positive!) - the only symptom I have is sore boobs and today they're much better... never thought I'd wish for sore boobs or more symptoms 🙄

CharTT33 · 10/12/2023 12:38

@Thebeansi heyyy, I’m taking in once every night in the back…. How you finding it?

Isitisit · 10/12/2023 12:55

@Thebeansi I’m on lubion injections because cyclogest made me really ill. Lubion has been much better for me.

CurlyWurly1991 · 10/12/2023 12:59

@RiverBear agree! I was feeling rough at the end of last week but this weekend have a bit less of the nausea/low appetite. I guess it’s just a case of waiting and staying hopeful. I swear I make my boobs sore by squeezing them to check every few hours 😆

RiverBear · 10/12/2023 14:02

@CurlyWurly1991 I think that too! I bet my boobs are sore cause I keep fiddling with them, it's probably not a real pregnancy symptom at all! 😆

AH2023 · 10/12/2023 14:58

Hi all,

got my positive on 8/12 and due date is 17th August. We were looking to start trying in January but then this happened 😅 I am over the moon but an anxious wreck 😨

I think I'm driving myself mad by over analysing every little twinge and cramp. I also took a clearblue with weeks today and it said 1-2 even though I should be 5 weeks tomorrow, but after researching it seems those tests are not as accurate as they seem.

graceinc22 · 10/12/2023 16:42

@Thebeansi yes I’m on cyclogest too, because of a previous miscarriage. Only just started it Friday. How do you think you disentangle symptoms of cyclogest from just pregnancy symptoms? I still feel ok (for now!) x

Pllystyrene · 10/12/2023 17:20

Anyone else feel extra awful in the evening?

fsr111 · 10/12/2023 17:34

Hey guys, I've been lurking but thought I'd start to joint in! Haha! I'm 6+2, due 2 August. @Thebeansi I'm on the cyclogest too and also oestrogen tablets (IVF pregnancy). Can definitely confirm the cyclogest symptoms are just as bad as pregnancy symptoms as I started it before I was pregnant and felt rough then! Now it's like a double whammy of exhaustion, especially with the worlds most excited four year old (and there's still two weeks to go until Christmas! 🫠)
@Pllystyrene I definitely feel worst in the early evening, especially with the nausea, I think it's when I'm hungriest!
Have a scan next Monday, literally counting down the days and hoping everything is in the right place!

NelliePig · 10/12/2023 18:29

Well, I had a positive test today (actually I had 5) but I'm only cycle day 20, so about 3 weeks. Should have a due date of around 25th August.
I have a 3 year old who will be 4 in July.

Tentatively joining, congrats everyone.
