Hi all! I'm 4 weeks exactly today, due date is 4th August ☺️ This will (hopefully) be DC2!

How is everyone feeling? I've got sore boobs, mild cramps and waves of nausea that I didn't get until week 6 with my DD so I guess it's starting early, lucky me 🥳

Hiya @BellsB1 !! Lovely to see you on this chat after we briefly met on another thread ♥️

BellsB1 · 08/12/2023 22:27

Hi @MaryHua , nice to emeet you again! I've been guarding my heart, but I'm now starting to believe it. It's so nice to see you here too❤ x

MaryHua · 08/12/2023 22:30

I've very much been the same @BellsB1

In shops I still can't look at newborn clothing or think of baby names because I'm just too scared.
But I'm starting to come round to the frame of mind that if something happens, I will be broken-hearted either way, so I may as well feel the joy that I want to feel in this moment. 🙏

SnookyPook · 08/12/2023 23:12

@MaryHua that is a fantastic attitude to have! And so true. One thing I am glad of after my tough year, is that I managed to feel excited each time I had a BFP and to try and celebrate that flicker of life for as long as it was there. I am obviously more anxious this time with it being the 4th pregnancy this year, but I am feeling hopeful. And I know that if it's heartbreak again, I will be devastated but I will cope. And I will be glad that I was able to honour this little one by celebrating it. That said... I'm sort of more nervous the last couple of days because I feel a bit like this one will work out and I'm worried in case I ought to be more guarded. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But... Still trying to be in the moment with it. Right now, I am pregnant! 💕🙏🏼🌈

MaryHua · 08/12/2023 23:26

Beautifully written @SnookyPook and I so admire your strength. It never gets easier, but at the same time, each new pregnancy is a fresh chance of a healthy baby so there is nothing to say that things won't progress well for you this time around.

Enjoying the "I'm pregnant right now" feeling is something I'm gradually growing into over the past 2 days. 🤞🌟

EMJL · 08/12/2023 23:44

@BellsB1 welcome and congratulations! 💕 sorry to hear about your MC. There are a few of us with an expected due date of 12th August! It's all such a whirlwind xx

BellsB1 · 09/12/2023 08:33

Hi @EMJL ! Congratulations to you too! So lovely to meet a fellow 12 August due date lady!

It is such a whirlwind - I am also trying to keep that mindset @SnookyPook and @MaryHua . I am pregnant today and I will enjoy it.

I am still testing every day, which I need to stop, but it gives me reassurance on a morning that those two little lines are there. I have one FRER left that I'm saving until Monday. The test was darker than the control yesterday, and very slightly, so I'm hoping for a dye stealer and maybe that will make me stop 😂 hoping to book in an early scan the first week of January to see the little bean.

MaryHua · 09/12/2023 08:48

@BellsB1 I'm the same! Have booked an early scan for 7th January when I'm back from Ireland. The week before Christmas is too soon and I'm scared to not see a heartbeat which will only end up ruining Christmas for me.

I'm still guilty of daily testing, but I'm going on holiday for a week now and I've only packed 2 tests! 😂 DH telling me to stop but I just can't bring myself to fully trust!

Isthisrealomgwow · 09/12/2023 09:31

Hi all!
A little update...had an early cscan last week, sac and yolk sac present and where it should be.
Evidence of a small bleed, but underneath the sac. Been prescribed progesterone pessary twice a day for the next 11 weeks!

Due to go back next week for another scan.
Consultant seem hopeful the bleed would be reabsorbed or if it does shed, it has less chance of affecting the sac due to being underneath.
I so desperately want this one to make it, after 2 second trimester losses in the last 14 months. This is the last time...hubby is going for the snip regardless of the outcome.
I'll keep you all updated.

newjourney21 · 09/12/2023 10:41

Hi all, starting to feel a bit more real now as had letters in the post for my first two midwife appointments and my 12 week scan! Have to say I'm loving how organised they are....but defo sunk in a bit more and feeling super nervous. My booking appointment is going to be on the same day as my early scan which will be 7 weeks 2 days. I'm so hoping that it is going to be a really good day! Hope everyone is doing well x

etaketak1991 · 09/12/2023 10:51

@Isthisrealomgwow Keeping all my fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞🤞 It's good that the consultant seems positive about the prognosis.

@SnookyPook That's a great attitude to have ❤️

I still haven't heard from the midwife service, but I'm only 6 weeks tomorrow so plenty of time for them to get in contact ☺️ I managed to not to throw up on either 7 hour coach journey but the nausea has now returned full swing now I'm back in the UK... maybe it's time to emigrate 😂

Hope everyone and their little beans (although mine is currently the size of a grain of rice 😂 apparently) is doing well x

Keeping everything crossed for you @Isthisrealomgwow Flowers

Bugs22mk · 09/12/2023 12:46

Has anyone else had Covid/flu before early on in their pregnancy? I am currently really poorly with Covid and I’m worried it will have an impact on the pregnancy

KT86 · 09/12/2023 13:02

Keeping everything crossed for you @Isthisrealomgwow 🙏🙏

EMJL · 09/12/2023 13:03

@Isthisrealomgwow sending you lots of luck and love 💕

DisneyLady1 · 09/12/2023 13:31

You'll be fine - just make sure your temperature stays ok and stay hydrated. I had covid at 6 weeks with my DD1 and all was OK. Obviously felt rotten and it coincided with morning sickness - but we got through. Hope you're ok and just rest.

I'd give the GP a call in case of any worries - hopefully this will set your mind at ease.

CandleRigg89 · 09/12/2023 13:49

Hey everyone! Would love to join this thread :)

Got my BFP last week so am now around 5.5 weeks along. This is my second pregnancy, my first resulting in my 2.5 year old son who’s the light of my life haha.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far!

FluffyKitty007 · 09/12/2023 14:03

@Bugs22mk I’ve been also feeling rough last week but I didn’t do a covid test. I think I tried to get back to work (from home office) too soon and had to return to bed.

hope you get better soon!

Bugs22mk · 09/12/2023 15:26

@DisneyLady1 @FluffyKitty007 thank you for the reassurance, I’m really hoping it’s all fine. It’s so hard when there’s really nothing you can do, seems to be lots going round!

DisneyLady1 · 09/12/2023 15:28

Hope you'll be ok @Bugs22mk - I remember phoning my GP in tears when I had it last time. He was very reassuring though, which helped.

I wore a mask most times for the rest of that pregnancy (!) Now I have a DD in nursery, so I can't do much to shield from illnesses. Will hope for the best! :) Hope you've got some good TV to watch.

Sunny1986 · 09/12/2023 17:46

Hi all, unfortunately I think I am having an early miscarriage/ chemical. Not sure what the difference is at this early stage tbh. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks last Christmas and this feels and looks similar. Been on to my EPU and waiting for a call back and a scan. You never know but I'm not hopeful.

Feeling very grateful for my wonderful little boy, and wishing you all the best with your pregnancies! I hope it's a very happy journey for you all x

CurlyWurly1991 · 09/12/2023 18:12

@Sunny1986 so sorry to hear that , hope you can take some time for yourself. It is an emotional rollercoaster x

SnookyPook · 09/12/2023 18:24

@Sunny1986 so very sorry to hear this 😞 Hope your EPU get back to you quickly and that you don't have to hang around for answers too long. I'll keep everything crossed on your behalf that the outcome might be different this time 🙏🏼💕 Meanwhile, lots of snuggles with your little boy - I know that feeling well. ❤️

Susie93 · 09/12/2023 18:46

Hi everyone, joining this thread with a surprise pregnancy. My baby has only just turned 14 months old so it will be 2 under 2 for a short time. I think I’m due beginning of august but waiting on a date for my booking appointment. Looking forward to reading all your messages x

RiverBear · 09/12/2023 18:53

@Sunny1986 I'm so sorry to hear this, I so hope that you get good news in your scan - crossing everything for you x
