Hi all! I'm 4 weeks exactly today, due date is 4th August ☺️ This will (hopefully) be DC2!

How is everyone feeling? I've got sore boobs, mild cramps and waves of nausea that I didn't get until week 6 with my DD so I guess it's starting early, lucky me 🥳

So sorry to hear @CharTT33 - take each hour as it comes. I recently had spotting and was really worrying - even more so because it is out of your control.

RiverBear · 07/12/2023 11:02

I hope everything will be ok @CharTT33 x

Bells3032 · 07/12/2023 11:10

I had spotting early on in my first pregnancy and she's now happy and healthy 2 year old. sometimes it's just spotting. fingers crossed for you though!

CharTT33 · 07/12/2023 11:30

Thanks for all the messages guys! This is just the most worrying time. Contemplating taking more time of work. They won’t scan me again till the 19th which was when I had a scan next anyway. I asked for a blood test to check HCG levels.. 😧😧

@Bells3032 i really hope for this to be my case too! Xx

pontipinemum · 07/12/2023 12:54

Hello ladies! I got my BFP today, at 11DPO I am still a little wary but the cheap tests seem to be getting progressively darker. I've had 4 MCs inc last month so I am trying not to get too excited. I've booked to have bloods on Monday and Wednesday so hopefully that'll go well. At least I will know where I am

Est due date is 14/08/2024 😁

Due August 2024!
Olivia2019 · 07/12/2023 13:05

@Jazzberryjam23

I ordered loads of dip tests from Amazon and they arrived last night. Testing will definetly get out of hand for a while haha.

I haven't told DH yet as he works away. He returns on the 22nd of December and I want to announce it to him on Christmas Day.

I've booked my appointment with the midwife for the 4th of January. Have you made an appointment yet?

I hope the next 4 weeks will pass really quickly.

Olivia2019 · 07/12/2023 13:06

@pontipinemum congratulations ❤️ my estimated due date is the 16th August

Olivia2019 · 07/12/2023 13:10

@CharTT33

👋 I'm new in the group and still catching up with all the messages. So sorry you are going through this. Could you maybe make an appointment at an early scan clinic?
Sending positive thoughts your way ❤️

SnookyPook · 07/12/2023 13:27

@CharTT33 so sorry you've had a scare and are freaking out. I'll have my first scan that week too (21st) and just don't know how I'm feeling right now!!

@pontipinemum tentative congratulations - fellow recurrent loss Momma here (my last one was Halloween) so very much know how you're feeling! I've not even dared to ask my GP for bloods 🤦🏼‍♀️

fr4zzledmum · 07/12/2023 14:04

Welcome @pontipinemum & everyone else who has joined recently! I'm struggling to keep up Grin

I'm so over being tired now - I fell asleep with DD at 7.30 last night. Although I'm not wishing the sickness to come sooner!

CharTT33 · 07/12/2023 14:22

@Olivia2019 hey,

I don’t know anymore.. Honestly I feel like more sore boobs are going even though only this morning I woke up feeling so sore as I had been laying on them. I’m now currently waiting to have a blood test. I can’t have a 4th mc honestly… sighhhh…

@SnookyPook fingers crossed 🤞🏽

SunSparkle · 07/12/2023 14:41

Fatigue has well and truly kicked in. Plus the meds I’m on to try and reduce my HG are drowsy antihistamines too. I’ve had to have a nap this morning. I feel like I can barely keep my eyes open.

EMJL · 07/12/2023 17:33

Just got my booking in app through, I'll only be 6 weeks on the day! Does that seem early? Pretty sure it was a bit later with my son x

RiverBear · 07/12/2023 17:54

Is re-testing absolutely necessary? I really want to and don't want to at the same time... I want to test because I just want to know if the lines are darker or as dark, but I don't want to because the 3 I did on tuesday (15dpo - the first and only day I tested) were dark and anything lighter would upset me!! Being in limbo is just horrific

graceinc22 · 07/12/2023 18:01

@RiverBear my mother in law, a gp, says not to stress with repeatedly testing, a positive is a positive and line strength can vary with lots of things. i'd put down the tests and celebrate being pregnant! x

CurlyWurly1991 · 07/12/2023 18:36

Yep I agree repeated testing just stresses me out, personally. As lovely as it is to see another bfp I would worry about the strength of the line and this would cause me more anxiety.

woke today feeling very nauseous and it never really went away. It hit around this time with my first pregnancy - not even 5 weeks. I bought some ginger root capsules and have got some pregnancy supplements and extra b6 so hoping these make a difference. Bit nervous to take anything except the heavily recommended things - most supplements, herbal teas etc don’t have enough safety evidence in pregnancy so we are told to avoid but then people are uncomfortable / have less healthy choices instead.

CurlyWurly1991 · 07/12/2023 18:37

@CharTT33 really hope this works out and you are reassured all is ok over the next day or two x

I always thought they were supposed to be at 8 weeks?

EMJL · 07/12/2023 18:50

@fr4zzledmum me too! I'm going to rearrange anyway as I can't make that date but I thought 6 weeks was really early xx

CharTT33 · 07/12/2023 19:52

Thanks I will keep the group updated xx

MrsM21 · 07/12/2023 20:39

I’m currently 5+5 and the symptoms are coming out in full force, I can smell EVERYTHING 🤢

earlytwentiesmama · 07/12/2023 20:42

Hi all

Just a question regarding symptoms!

Still having the cramping but my sickness feeling and sore boobs that I had all last week and up until my BFP have no magically disappeared 😬

Has this happened to anyone else?

I did get my 2-3 on digital today which was the day it should be so that helped reassure me a touch!

Cannot for the life of me remember how I felt this time when I was pregnant with my dd!

Thankyou xx

GeographyTeacher · 07/12/2023 20:56

I’m unsure about the testing. I agree it both fuels and settles anxiety depending on the outcome. I feel like having tests in the house reassures me even though I really try not to do them 😂

I first tested for pregnancy either 1 or 2 days before my period was due and it was at night , I just used a cheapy strip test and had a really clear, fairly dark line. I also got a 1-2 at this time annd wouldn’t have even been 4 weeks. I got a 3+ before I was even 5 weeks.

When I was pregnant last time (I had a MMC at 12weeks) I didn’t ever really get a dark line until at least a week after my period was due and didn’t get 3+ until past 6 weeks. So I really don’t think it’s an exact science and not getting a 3 or getting one… I don’t think is a reliable measure…but I totally get it, it’s all we have during a time when we just need something to cling on to.

I say, do what you have to do to get through. I agree with what lots of people say about celebrating milestones and staying as cautiously positive as possible.

pontipinemum · 07/12/2023 21:26

@Olivia2019 I understand you want to tell him in person. But no way would I be able to keep my trap shut for 2 weeks. It'll be lovely when you do tell him though.

I am so so tired!! I remember being wrecked with DS as well.

dindot · 07/12/2023 21:59

@MrsM21 I'm also 5+5 and came onto this thread to say exactly the same! The symptoms have hit me full force today, really struggled to make my little boy's tea tonight because of the food smells in the kitchen.
