Hi ladies, I couldn’t find another thread made, so made this as the other one was full. I will try tag a few people … if you can also tag.

@OrionNebula Happy New Year to you too! How's the little one doing? Did you manage to get her feeding issues resolved?

My little one has a cold and it is oh so difficult. He's not quite 3 months yet so not much I can do for him to battle this viral infection. I am not looking forward to the time when he goes to nursery.

OrionNebula · 09/01/2024 11:48

@peonygirl the reflux seems to have improved again thankfully. I took her to the doctor last week for reassurance and he said only to worry if she's having dry nappies and not gaining weight. He didn't weigh her but I have 3 month developmental check on Monday so she will be weighed then. He also felt her tummy to check for blockages and there was nothing.

Your poor little chap, hope he improves soon. Horrible seeing them unhappy and nothing really can be done. Calpol and snuggles Smile

Koalawhala · 15/01/2024 08:51

Happy new year everyone. My little one is 12 weeks old and doing well. I feel like she’s having some teething symptoms already, is anyone else finding that?

OrionNebula · 15/01/2024 11:53

@Koalawhala mine is certainly very dribbly the last few days!

FirstTimeMamaAtHalloween · 15/01/2024 15:09

Our little boy is 11 weeks now and loving hitting things dangling from his play gym and blowing spit bubbles-he goes from wonderful nights sleep with only two wakes and then terrible sleep for no reason- such is baby life! Keeps chewing on his fist and lots of happy squeals! How is the time going so fast?

CL05071998 · 15/01/2024 16:16

Mine is 12 weeks and feel the last two weeks is definitely showing teething signs. Very dribble, and biting his fists all the time. Has home from doi g great stretches of night sleep to awake every hour or two and refusing his co sleeper

Sagittarius25 · 15/01/2024 16:18

My boy is 11 weeks and also chewing fists and dribbling a lot. However I don't think it's teething. I had a google and the chewing fists is self soothing/discovering hands can go in mouth and the dribbling in the salivary glands starting to work more and they need to learn to swallow the extra saliva but at the moment just dribble it instead 😂

missquiet · 15/01/2024 19:02

Same as @Sagittarius25 I read that too, I panicked thinking it was teeth and most definitely wasn't ready for that. My DD didn't cut her first until 9 months!

My DS is 12 weeks... 3 months on the 19th. Definitely discovered his hands over the last 2 weeks which is really cute to watch when he stares at them.

I read that the 4 month sleep progression/regression can actually start from 3 months so I guess the more frequent night wakes could be a sign of that maybe.

Oh and I've had a name change... been on the threads since the start Smile

ttcttc · 10/02/2024 21:41

Is everyone ok?

Are we all still in our maternity pjs or do I need to get my act together 😂

thecatsthecats · 11/02/2024 15:50

Well, I was supposed to wear my nice PJ's in hospital after I'd cleaned up post labour. Instead, the birth was so fast (90m waters to placenta) that I gave birth in my nice jammies and had to change into my labour dress as a nightie.

Haha sounds familiar. I had a nightie to birth then nice pjs for after. Ended up wearing same t shirt for three days and then changing onto a gown for section 🤦🏼‍♀️

missquiet · 12/02/2024 18:39

@ttcttc we are good here, DS will be 4 months on Monday... where has that time gone! I feel like maternity leave is going to be over before I know it.

Still living in leggings and comfy loose tops! May as well be PJs 🙈 benefits of a winter baby, can hide under layers.

He has his 3rd round of jabs on Wednesday.... thank goodness was no more until 1 after that.

Sagittarius25 · 12/02/2024 19:04

@ttcttc all good here. The days are still flitting between feeling like I'm drowning and can't do it or feeling like super mum and having the best time 😂

The post partum hair loss it really hitting here though and I dread having to wash my hair 😩

DS is thriving though and that's all that matters!

ttcttc · 12/02/2024 19:38

@missquiet how was he after his others?

@Sagittarius25 feeling your pain. My hairs thin as it is 😔

missquiet · 12/02/2024 19:40

He came down with a chesty cough a couple of days after, I don't think it was the jobs though l, my DD is at pre school and brings everything home.

He was fine after the first set and the couple of days after the second before the cough set in.

FirstTimeMamaAtHalloween · 13/02/2024 08:52

All good here, little man is 15 weeks now - we’re midway through the sleep regression and he’s gone from 2 wakes a night to 4 or more 😭. Think he’s also teething early so calpol is a big part of our lives at the moment - anyone else going through that special kind of hell? On the plus side he now laughs and just learnt to Roll from his front to his back! How’s everyone else doing?

ttcttc · 13/02/2024 09:00

@FirstTimeMamaAtHalloween oh no bless you. I think we're teething too but not too bad at the minute. Can be a bit clingy and rosy cheeks/slavery.

We've only done one roll which I think was an accident. He hasn't mastered it yet. He was in a pavlik harness for 9 week so think he's a little behind on the rolls etc.

Sleep regression not started yet here. We had a few nights he wouldn't go down and had to be rocked. I've just woke him up at 8:30 and he screamed at me for a good 16 minutes. Very angry and giving me the look 😂 little monkey

peonygirl · 13/02/2024 12:16

Hi all - my boy will be 4 months old this weekend. He is also rolling but the other way round - from back to front, did it a couple of times now. He has regularly rosy cheeks and I think is the onset of teething but not in much discomfort yet. He is going through sleep regression but during the day, there are days when he barely has an hour of sleep. He's been sleeping well during the night with 2 wakes and eating every 4-5h. It's a lot of work for me being a single parent but now he's smiling a lot, he loves it when I wiggle my bum and then his :) so I am enjoying him loads. He had a serious cold when he was 2.5 months old and it was hell. He's still snotty now but at least now I can help him with more than just steam and Calpol.

Oops just realised this is a 2023 thread!! How do I delete?

BeaKind · 13/02/2024 17:43

Awww it was this time last year we were all getting our positive tests 🥰 my squinter was on Valentine’s Day. Now I have an almost 4 month old 🥲

I think we’re going through the sleep regression too @FirstTimeMamaAtHalloween as we have about 4 wakes in an 8 hour period 🫠 but good at napping in the day and goes off on her own otherwise so I’m just riding it out! With coffee!!

@Sagittarius25 I’ve really noticed my hair coming out the last few days. It peaks around 4 months I think so hopefully soon we’ll see improvement. With my first it did get very thin though and I was basically receding. Not as bad this time round thankfully!

@peonygirl you are doing absolutely amazing!

BeaKind · 13/02/2024 17:43

Congratulations @Haggardly 😊

Sagittarius25 · 13/02/2024 17:44

@BeaKind I had my squinter on Valentine's Day too!

missquiet · 14/02/2024 15:17

My DS rolled today for the first time, his little face when he turned from front to back was so cute. 🥰

Happy Valentine's Day to all! ❤️❤️❤️

Hopefulx · 15/02/2024 11:41

Hey mummas! Hope you & your little ones are doing well.

It might be a bit early for some but has anyone thought about weaning yet? Does anyone have any books they can recommend?
