@Khanga27 welcome! Glad you will be getting a scan. I had lower back pain throughout the first trimester this time round and all was well. Now is back with a vengeance now I'm nearly due 🙈

@Brokenpancreas94 glad you are home and bp is behaving! 😄 my sister had a baby girl in the early hours of this morning and all well so that has been a good start to the year.

morning ladies - had my 20 week scan and all is good with baby. Was so good to see him/her wiggling around and yawning. I had said earlier that they had concerns for the low papp-a but blood flow was fine and i don’t have to have a consultant and constant growth scans this time… such a relief as this baby has really put us through the wringer (chromosonal tests etc) but actually allowed myself to buy a onesie yesterday and complete an exercise workout…all things i have been terrified to do ☺️

tulipsunday · 06/01/2024 12:20

Fantastic news @Nushyboots so glad all going well for you 💖

Khanga27 · 06/01/2024 12:36

@tulipsunday thank you, and congratulations, I hope all is going ok. I’m just nervous in case it’s too early to see much. I’ve also had this awful cold for the past week as well which also has me really anxious that something is wrong already.

@Nushyboots glad to see your news and things are going well

TheBirdintheCave · 06/01/2024 13:17

@tulipsunday Congrats to your sister!

@Nushyboots I'm glad your scan went well!

@Brokenpancreas94 Very glad you're home now :D

Brokenpancreas94 · 06/01/2024 13:56

@Khanga27 I wouldn't worry about the cold, quite a lot of people have had it for weeks...me being one of them it is getting on my nerves!
Hope all goes well with scan!

Not long till its your turn @tulipsunday how many weeks are you now? To be honest I think my BP was fine anyway, borderline if anything 🤣
@TheBirdintheCave yes it's good to be home, but I'm back Wednesday haha!

@Nushyboots glad your scan went well too! ❤️

tulipsunday · 07/01/2024 07:17

@Brokenpancreas94 due date today so 40 weeks! My son was quite hard work yesterday think overtired from being back at nursery. Hopefully today will be easier 🤞🙈 at least can hopefully relax Monday if not!

@Brokenpancreas94 @tulipsunday ahh how exciting for you both, looks like your babies will be making an appearance very very soon 😊🙃

Brokenpancreas94 · 07/01/2024 12:07

@tulipsunday oooo you're 40 weeks!! How exciting! I wonder if you'll give birth before me! I'm bloody terrified! I woke up literally every hour last night for a wee, and every time I got back in bed I had cramps for about 5 minutes!

tulipsunday · 07/01/2024 13:54

@Brokenpancreas94 ahh not fun. I would be surprised if anything happens here in the next few days as just don't feel like I am going to go into labour soon. Just waiting for the 'is he here yet messages to start' from friends and family 🙈 thankfully not told everyone my due date

tulipsunday · 07/01/2024 13:55

@WhiteHorse92 thanks how many weeks are you now? 😊

OP posts:
WhiteHorse92 · 07/01/2024 14:31

@tulipsunday 38+2 today. Have such bad insomnia at night I'm barely getting sleep, chronically exhausted, the pressure on my bladder is horrible and now I'm starting to limp because something in my groin is pulling and it's making me so bloody miserable 🙈. I know I said I definitely don't want a membrane sweep at next midwife appointment but I'm very tempted now 😅

Brokenpancreas94 · 07/01/2024 19:22

@tulipsunday ah you never know! Or we could both give birth Wednesday haha!

@WhiteHorse92 I know how you feel, I can barely walk! It's so painful!! The pain is excruciating when trying to turn over in bed too! And it's all well my partner saying oh it be over soon he will be out, but I will be sore from the section instead 🤣

suz2285 · 08/01/2024 08:52

Hi all, sorry I'm deep in newborn survival mode. Wow this is hard... I mean everyone said it was but jeez 🙈

@Nushyboots glad all is going ok!
@Khanga27 hope all goes ok 🤞

@Brokenpancreas94 @tulipsunday @WhiteHorse92 so close now! Good luck for whatever happens! 🥳🌈

WhiteHorse92 · 08/01/2024 11:26

@suz2285 thank you!!! Hoping she comes very very soon 😊

Yeah the newborn days are relentless and I'm not looking forward to doing it again but you've got this!

TheBirdintheCave · 08/01/2024 11:46

@suz2285 Yep! BUT it doesn't last forever. Every week it gets a little easier and then all of a sudden you're three months in and you're not sure where the time went!

Brokenpancreas94 · 08/01/2024 14:16

@TheBirdintheCave and then the next thing you know they're half way through primary school 😭😭😭😭🙈

Thank you @suz2285 xxx

Lost my mucus plug today!!

TheBirdintheCave · 08/01/2024 14:49

@Brokenpancreas94 Eeeek. With my son my labour started a few hours after I lost mine. Have you felt anything yet? Will they bring your section earlier if so?

tulipsunday · 08/01/2024 15:48

@Brokenpancreas94 ooh that's exciting. Body getting ready then. So if you go into labour naturally will they do an emergency c section?

@WhiteHorse92 hope little one doesn't keep you waiting much longer.

@suz2285 hang on in there! Newborn stage certainly can be tough.

OP posts:
suz2285 · 08/01/2024 16:51

@WhiteHorse92 honestly I've no idea how people choose to do this twice 😂

@TheBirdintheCave I'm trying to remember that. I don't want to wish the days away but it's relentless day after day!

Just getting ready for another round of no sleep 😂

Brokenpancreas94 · 08/01/2024 17:54

@TheBirdintheCave @tulipsunday apart from not being able to keep food down, nothing so far...I did have some cramps last night though!
The doctor who booked my section said that if I went into labour naturally that they would let me try and go naturally as VBAC would be more likely to be successful than if they induced me! However, bit confusing because before he said that he implied that baby would get stuck...so I've no idea

tulipsunday · 09/01/2024 12:52

@suz2285 yep can the constant feeding/changing/settling definitely can be relentless. I remember mine liked the newborn swaddle/sleeping bags but not all do. Hope your partner is being a good help.

@Brokenpancreas94 eek exciting so close now!

Brokenpancreas94 · 09/01/2024 16:54

@tulipsunday having a rubbish day today, had a fall this morning as I was leaving to go to hospital, my knee is so sore and has a massive graze on it...luckily I didn't land on my bump but I had a big cry and then I threw up again!
Went to pre op assessment they patched me up, and checked my urine etc...got blood in my urine, as well as the usual protein and lectrolites (that's probably spelt completely wrong). Just feeling very sorry for myself today lol x

TheBirdintheCave · 09/01/2024 18:14

@Brokenpancreas94 On gosh you're really going through it! :( Section is tomorrow right? 😬

Brokenpancreas94 · 09/01/2024 18:33

@TheBirdintheCave yes tomorrow morning, there's 2 of us that are diabetic so I'm either 1st or 2nd!
