@Brokenpancreas94 have you asked anyone about your belly yet? My tender bit seems a bit better the last few days, I'm still getting pulling around my ligaments tho! My hips are sore again this morning, just realised my mums bed is way comfier mattress wise than mine 🙈 my hips felt comfy at hers!

My appetite isn't high either this last few weeks. I think it's normal at the end not to eat as much! I'm not massively worried about it, tbh it's prob for the best for me 😂😂

tulipsunday · 28/12/2023 08:42

Hope your journey back went well @suz2285 I have my midwife appointment today as well. They have changed it to earlier in the day so will have to bring my son along hope he behaves 😂

I have usual appetite could do with it being suppressed as am eating the left over Xmas treats which is not good!

@Brokenpancreas94 sorry your belly is hurting. I still have pain behind my ribs had hoped this might have gone by this point 🙈

@tulipsunday oh god it was absolutely horrendous. 3 hour journey took 10 hours, I actually thought I was going to die going down flooded collapsed back roads in the dark, if I'd gone into labour id have been absolutely screwed! There was no way to get to any town or for anyone to reach us! Just reading this morning about people stranded on motorways or on trains overnight, but we took far too many risks getting home, I was happy to sleep in a car park overnight tbh! But DH was desperate to keep trying

But we're home now, I'm exhausted! I just need the midwife to go ok today as I cannot deal with anything else today! 🙈

I'm taking DH to the midwife too, hopefully your son and my DH both behave 😂😂

I also need to go collect my cat from the cattery first!

Brokenpancreas94 · 28/12/2023 11:00

@suz2285 no, I haven't. Wasn't sure if I should or not. I do think it's because of his size to be fair it's very stretched where its sore and alot of new stretch marks there too!

Hope you both get on okay at midwife! @tulipsunday. I have midwife on Tuesday, and a scan on Monday!

Brokenpancreas94 · 28/12/2023 12:15

I think my belly pain could be strained muscles from the constant coughing and sneezing and blowing my nose! It started to come on as my cold progressively got worse!

Michah89 · 28/12/2023 12:48

I had miscarriage then a stillbirth in October and I think I'm pregnant again we have been trying had period last week but then this week started have pinkish and little bit of red when I wipe nothin to fill a pad and got all pregnancy symptoms

tulipsunday · 28/12/2023 18:11

@Michah89 so sorry for what you have been through. I guess if you had your period last week you wouldn't typically expect a positive pregnancy test unless it was actually implantation bleeding. Is your cycle still settling? It took mine a few months each time following pregnancy loss. Are you going to take a pregnancy test?

I had my 16 week midwife appt today and heard the heartbeat for the first time, which should keep us ticking over (and hopefully keep my nerves in check!) until the 20 week scan. We are tentatively starting to believe it might actually happen this time...🙏

tulipsunday · 29/12/2023 14:12

Fantastic news @Faithincats wonderful way to end the year

@suz2285 sorry you had such a horrendous journey! Hope your appointment went well and blood pressure behaving. My 38 wk appointment was fine baby definitely head down phew though not engaged so don't think will be expecting him anytime soon (though I guess you never know..!) next appointment for two weeks time. I don't want a sweep but be good to check positioning and heartbeat etc.

suz2285 · 29/12/2023 19:39

@Faithincats great news

@tulipsunday yes my appointment went fine and then I went into labour early this morning, sitting in triage, been in labour since about 3am... taking ages though they are happy with my progress

Just had some morphine which is allowing me to actually breathe a bit, next check around 10.30 then hoping to get onto the mat unit and get the gas and air and things moving faster 🤞🤞🤞

tulipsunday · 29/12/2023 21:28

@suz2285 oh wow!! Eeek!! So excited for you. You've got this. Can't wait to hear about little one's arrival.

@suz2285 Omg good luck! 😬

suz2285 · 30/12/2023 01:50

It's absolutely not going to plan at all 😂 typical... just needing to get baby out now, might be looking at a section soon

WhiteHorse92 · 30/12/2023 06:16

@Faithincats brilliant news 😊

@tulipsunday From what I've read online baby can be engaged for several weeks before due date or be not engaged at all then labour suddenly starts so yeah you never know 😅. Midwife told me yesterday I can have a sweep at my next appointment if I want (at 38+5) but I'm pretty sure I don't want one that early, would rather let nature take its course and maybe consider it if I go overdue even though I'm tired and uncomfortable and kinda want the baby out now 😅

@suz2285 that's so exciting! Never goes to plan does it?! 😆. Hopefully you'll have your baby in your arms very soon 😊

Faithincats · 30/12/2023 07:35

Thank you, ladies! 😊

@suz2285 sending you all the positive vibes and lots of luck for today.

tulipsunday · 30/12/2023 08:23

@WhiteHorse92 yeh I understand that feeling.

@suz2285 sorry not going to plan but will all be worth it 🥰

@suz2285 oooh exciting! Hope its all going well!

have my 20 week scan on thursday and feeling proper thumps and rolls now. The boys are excited they can now feel the kicks themselves - which is great to see. So excited! Fingers crossed bubs has a clean bill of health on thursday then can start to buy things!!

suz2285 · 31/12/2023 01:11

@Nushyboots great news! Those little rolls are the best

Finally welcomed our son at 16.56 (ish) yesterday after a long almost 40 hours of labour/induction and final emcs! At exactly 38 weeks. We're all doing great, I am totally exhausted and have managed only a short few bursts of sleep, stuck on the recovery ward tonight and then up to probably main ward tonight for up to 5 days depending on infection markers in me and baby!

After measuring 97th centile on his second tri scans, he was a teeny 6lb 9 oz and on the 9th centile! 😳

Hoping4amiracle · 31/12/2023 03:26

Congratulations @suz2285 - what an amazing way to end the year!

love to you, your family and perfect little baby xx

Nushyboots · 31/12/2023 06:03

@suz2285 congratulations!!! Sleeping on wards is the worst! Hope you manage to get some sleep x

tulipsunday · 31/12/2023 07:17

@suz2285 congratulations! So glad you are both doing ok. Hope you manage to get a bit of rest today and that the ward isn't too crowded.

@Nushyboots great news! 🥰
