Hi! Just had a BFP after a MC at 8 weeks last year, and am looking for folks to breathe through the next few weeks with. I am in an age bracket where MC risk is high and I’m trying not to get ahead of myself!

@RaisingCornishWildlings Lovely!! This is my third pregnancy but my last 2 ended up in a missed miscarriage and an ovarian ectopic but they were with my own eggs so fingers crossed we get to progress this time 🤞❤️
@HappyValleyFan1 an internal scan is ok I promise. They are very kind and gentle, good luck x

HappyValleyFan1 · 02/10/2023 11:50

@EWH oh I know I'm very over familiar with them after all my MCs so it doesn't phase me. I'm just slightly bothered it's a pointless exercise at 5+1 but fingers crossed 🤞
Hope this is your sticky one 😊 MCs and infertility is so heartbreaking ❤️‍🩹

pinkhart · 02/10/2023 14:03

Good luck @HappyValleyFan1 🤞🏼

Welcome @EWH, congrats 🥰

cosymama2020 · 02/10/2023 14:31

Ooo let us know how you get on @HappyValleyFan1 I’m 5+2 today and have been thinking of booking a private scan in a couple of weeks.

FoleyHuck · 02/10/2023 14:31

God, I've just had a dietary requirements request for a client dinner in a few weeks time. I don't want to tell anyone, but nor do I want to list 'no rare meat / no raw fish / no soft cheese' etc.

I'm safer just to tell them I'm vegan and hope the couple of people there who know me don't notice/question, aren't I?

Everyday a new adventure 😂

oop · 02/10/2023 14:35

@FoleyHuck I wouldn't put anything in particular down but just wouldn't eat it if came and wasn't pregnancy suitable. There aren't actually that many things you can't eat when pregnant so unlikely one of them would be served to you (as more than a side you can "not fancy" on the day).

FoleyHuck · 02/10/2023 14:43

I thought about that @oop but I've been to a lot of these dinners and can just imagine being presented with chicken live pate followed by a nice rare beef wellington and then brie and biscuits 😂😬

I'm at the event all day beforehand so there's a good chance I'll be ravenous by dinner, I'd rather maximise my chances of being able to eat it all.

RaisingCornishWildlings · 02/10/2023 14:46

@FoleyHuck I'd just claim to be veggie or vegan for the day!
Can you take a packed meal with you to work to hide and nibble tasty bits throughout the day to keep you going? X

oop · 02/10/2023 14:51

@FoleyHuck in that case I'd go veggie for the day, then you can turn down a piece of brie if it appears but don't have the sadness of missing out on cheese you could have eaten 😅

FoleyHuck · 02/10/2023 14:57

@oop That is an excellent point. The menu I described is basically my dream menu so I'll be very sad if that's what is actually served while I sip my mushroom soup.

@RaisingCornishWildlings There will definitely be snacks in my handbag.

Jak803 · 02/10/2023 14:58

Oh my god what a night you’ve had @RaisingCornishWildlings! Great line progression and yes I too am feeling waves of hot and cold. Nearly puked doing Pilates this morning

@HappyValleyFan1 Scans are fine when they’re internal! Nothing remotely as unpleasant as a smear test.

@FoleyHuck Vegan is a safe bet, then sneak a ham sandwich into your handbag!

@EWH wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy!

Hi ladies, congratulations on your pregnancies. I hope you all go on to have happy and healthy little ones. This is my 4th pregnancy after 2 MMC, followed by my rainbow baby who is currently 17 months. I’m 3+5 and have a due date of 12th June. Praying this one sticks but desperately trying not to get my hopes up.

RaisingCornishWildlings · 02/10/2023 20:30

@Boredinthehouse12 congratulations to you too and sorry to hear of your MCs. Fingers crossed this is a sticky one!
You're a fellow 4th timer- what ages are your first two? My third is a similar age to yours (18.5m) and I think my due date about 11 June!

I'm deffo feeling symptoms a lot earlier this time around- what about you?

Maybebaby54321 · 03/10/2023 07:00

Hi 👋 cant believe I'm saying this but it looks like I'm having number 5!!!!
We have 4 girls aged 11, 8, 5 and 2 and a due date of June 11th (ish) I didn't track ovulation so going by lmp.
I'm in Ireland and won't get a scan until 12 weeks, so the start of Dec which feels like ages away!!! Congratulations to all you mamas and I pray we all have healthy pregnancies and babies xxx

PurpleIsTheColour · 03/10/2023 07:15

@Maybebaby54321 , huge congratulations! I’m very proud of all you mums that are going for 4 and 5 kids, it makes my one toddler seem like an easy job and I bet you are all super mums if you can juggle so many different personalities😀😎🤗 It’s 12 weeks for first scan in England too but I’m booking a private one for next weekend when I’ll be 6 +4 because I worry too much having previously had a MMC. Our little beans should have their first heart beats by the next week or so for praying all little ones are okay🤞🤞

Maybebaby54321 · 03/10/2023 07:26

Thank you @PurpleIsTheColour ❤️ Because mine are each 3 years apart and all winter babies, I've had a child under 3 for the last 12 years!!!! I literally don't know how to walk without pushing a pram!!!
I actually can't believe I'm doing this again! But I'm very excited and my husband has got everything crossed for a boy 😂😂😂😂

Jak803 · 03/10/2023 08:40

@Maybebaby54321 Congratulations! I love the 3 year age gap between all your kids! Amazing that this is your 5th!

Slightly worried about a lack of symptoms, I definitely am nauseous and bloated but little else. 😧 I wonder should it be ramping up more now, I’m knocking on 5 weeks…

OP posts:
Nightbeforeslothmas · 03/10/2023 08:48

@Jak803 considering how many women who aren't specifically trying and get a total surprise at say, 3 months maybe try to block the symptoms thoughts for now? Easier said than done! Best of luck

Nightbeforeslothmas · 03/10/2023 08:50

Is that line pinker today (19dpo)? Or am I overanalysing?

Morning! Congrats to the newbies 🥰.

I think it looks pinker!

Maybebaby54321 · 03/10/2023 09:27

@Jak803 with all my previous 4, I've not got any symptoms until week 6 and even then they don't ramp up until about 8 and then start going at 12. So definitely don't worry this early!

Maybebaby54321 · 03/10/2023 09:28

@Nightbeforeslothmas it looks pinker to me!!!!

cosymama2020 · 03/10/2023 09:34

Morning and congrats & welcome to the new additions to the thread!

I just got this result this morning with my last official test! Over the moon as I had my chemical around 5 weeks last time. 5+3 today based on LMP.

Has anyone else got this awful big/cold going around? All I want is a lemsip but been told we’re not allowed?

Off for my flu jab today, there’s no way I’m catching the flu and can’t dose up on all the meds 😂

@Jak803 don’t fret about symptoms yet, it’s still early days and everyone is so different.
