Hi! Just had a BFP after a MC at 8 weeks last year, and am looking for folks to breathe through the next few weeks with. I am in an age bracket where MC risk is high and I’m trying not to get ahead of myself!

@PurpleIsTheColour
Big congratulations! Everything crossed for you lovely! It's so hard not to spiral when it's early days!
I've never had symptoms before 6 -7 weeks before but I feel a bit nauseous already but I feel like that might be a combination of my brain telling me I am, and having a cold!

I was super emotional (and ragey!) Sunday, had mild cramps on Monday and a tiny bit of spotting yesterday- so I'm guessing that's down to implantation bleeding- but I never had spotting with the other three. I have the fear it might be twins!! 😳😳😳

RaisingCornishWildlings · 27/09/2023 13:38

@Jak803
Thinking of you and hoping all progresses as it should! I'm 40 now and will be 41 and 2 months if this little one sticks!

🤞🤞🤞

Tefiti3 · 27/09/2023 16:14

Hello everyone! Glad to see a thread here. Found out a few days ago and still getting our heads round it. This will be #3 (8 yo and 4 yo). Bit of a surprise, and also had 2 losses before my 4 yo so riding the symptom spotter early pregnancy train… which definitely isnt helpful!

sinmiedo · 27/09/2023 19:57

Hi all! I got a BFP yesterday for my first child. I'm bricking it! Still can't get over the shock and disbelief. Looking forward to getting to know you all :)

HappyValleyFan1 · 28/09/2023 11:23

Congratulations @Tefiti3 & @sinmiedo 🥳

I'm still battling for meds for recurrent miscarriage. I'm on day 4 so hoping to get somewhere today, I've cried at the GP this morning 😅 and waiting another call back

How is everyone feeling symptom-wise? I have not a lot bar excessive saliva which is annoying (4+4 I think)

BirdIsBoredOfFlying · 28/09/2023 11:39

Hi everyone, can I join you? Just got a positive result this morning at 13 DPO and Fertility Friend is estimating a DD of 8 June (though NHS DD is 3 June). All going well, this will be our second - our daughter turned 2 in May.

It took us 12 months to conceive our first and this was our first try for baby no 2 so all feels a bit too good to be true. This past week I've moved house (lots of heavy lifting!) and drank a bit more than I usually would - typical! I also had a bit of spotting at the weekend, which I didn't have last time, so just hoping this wee baby sticks!

cosymama2020 · 28/09/2023 11:57

I’ve just had the midwife call and schedule in my booking in appointment. Not until 23rd October! Feels like ages away!

Im 4+5 now and feeling very nauseous and sooo tired!

@HappyValleyFan1 hope you get your meds!

RaisingCornishWildlings · 28/09/2023 14:54

@HappyValleyFan1
Symptom wise I'm 3+2 I think (going on DTD dates as I have a very irregular period!) , but felt some mild lower abdominal cramps and a bit nauseous this morning.
I keep telling myself it's all in my head (the nausea) and hoping the cramps is just my uterus going "Ffs here we go again 😂" rather than anything sinister. It's not painful- just aware of it!

Hope you get what you need form GP xx

Jak803 · 28/09/2023 15:53

Hi all! Big congrats and welcome to the new arrivals to this thread. We’re keeping this all under wraps until the second trimester and it’s so nice to have some folks to talk to about all this!

Currently 4wks plus 1, and no symptoms other than abdominal cramping and back pain. Would like some nausea and tiredness soon, so I know it’s all progressing. 😄 I probably shouldn’t will that to happen as once it does everything will be ten times harder!

Been testing each morning on internet cheapies and the line is strong now, getting progressively darker each day, so that’s good I guess!

Very crampy here too, feel like my period is about to start. Don’t remember if I felt this with my previous too, but I’ve not been pregnant for 7 years so I wouldn’t!

my sense of smell is also through the roof!!

sinmiedo · 28/09/2023 18:29

Ditto with the cramps, yesterday was uncomfortable but today has been fine. I felt a bit nauseous this morning but am convinced it's psychological. Am also really thirsty and peeing loads more than usual. My resting heart rate has also gone up by about 10BPM.

Has anyone booked with a midwife yet? I'm struggling to decide on a hospital🙄. I've also just moved to where I live so I haven't registered with the GP nearby yet (am still registered at one over an hour away).

Jak803 · 28/09/2023 19:42

@Senso21 its calmed down now but my sense of smell was definitely heightened last week, which was what prompted me to POAS.

i have a very specific cramp on the right side of my uterus, feels like pressure. Hopefully something growing and stretching!

Have felt nauseous and tired this afternoon but like you @sinmiedo i am convinced it’s in my head! Not booked a midwife yet, trying not to get ahead of myself but will if I’m still pregnant in a couple of weeks.

@RaisingCornishWildlings the cramps are disconcerting aren’t they? But totally normal, it’s very hard not to read into every little thing.

Hi everyone, I’m joining cautiously after a CP in May.

Congrats on your BFP’s 🎉.

I’m 5weeks since LMP but more likely to be 4+2/3 based on ovulation being a bit later this month. I also have a 2.5 year old DD.

Like some of you I’ve also been so tired! My boobs are slightly sore but nothing major and slight nausea but on and off.

15DPO test from this morning, praying for a sticky baby 🙏🏼.

Yes, so disconcerting and very hard not to spiral! On my other three pregnancies I always had feelings of anxiety because of the not knowing what's going on in there in the early weeks- once I can feel movement I tend to relax a bit! Plus I'm so impatient so the 12 week scan seems a lifetime away!
I also have noticed that if I'm standing for a period of time, I'm quite achy around my lower hips!
Deffo weeing more frequently!!

RaisingCornishWildlings · 28/09/2023 21:52

I'm going to POAS again in the morning to see if the line gets a bit darker 🤞🤞🤞

RaisingCornishWildlings · 29/09/2023 07:10

I'm back, POAS just now, it's still positive- and I think the line is ever so slightly darker than the one from Tuesday!

In photo, today's test is the top one x

Welcome and congrats @pinkhart, I’m sorry to hear about your CP. That’s a lovely strong line you’ve got there!

Yes @RaisingCornishWildlings 12 weeks frels
like a long way away!!

I’ve been POAS every morning, as I have a big batch of cheap tears. I think I’m 17 DPO (but not 100%) now and started testing at 9DPO. It’s a good line progression I think, but I’d love a very deep pink one now!

@RaisingCornishWildlings it is clearer for sure!

RaisingCornishWildlings · 29/09/2023 07:15

@Jak803 that's a lovely line progression!!

Honestly you'd think I'd be so more relaxed this time after 3 healthy pregnancies but this finding out soooo early is v new to me 😂😂 I think I'm going to grab a few more of the cheapy tests to keep watching the line darken (🤞🤞) too!

I'm Also busting to tell a really person other than hubby!!

Stephy1024 · 29/09/2023 07:16

@RaisingCornishWildlings the line is definitely darker 🙂

HappyValleyFan1 · 29/09/2023 08:04

@Jak803 super progression 👏

I've resisted testing each day like I did last time but have had a dye stealer on a FRER this week 😁 think I might get a CB weeks indicator this weekend

@RaisingCornishWildlings snap I'm desperate to tell someone. I'm seeing my best friend Saturday, not decided if I'll share yet

Jak803 · 29/09/2023 08:22

Desperate to share too. Have blurted it out to two people I barely know, but the moment will likely come when I’m with friends and decline a drink. They’ll know somethings up!!

Morning :)

@RaisingCornishWildlings that's definitely progressing/clearer!

@Jak803 Thank you for the welcome. That's looking great progression, I remember with my DD I didn't get a deep pink until gone 20DPO! I think i got yesterday wrong and I'm I'm around 17dpo today.

My husband doesn't understand the POAS daily thing 😂. I've told him I can't help it.
