Hi! Just had a BFP after a MC at 8 weeks last year, and am looking for folks to breathe through the next few weeks with. I am in an age bracket where MC risk is high and I’m trying not to get ahead of myself!

Hi all

I am currently 10+4 with my first baby, a miracle IVF baby 6 years in the making 😍

Currently my nausea has died down alot but i am now burping more (delightful!) itchy nipples and lots of snot like discharge (anyone else? sorry for TMI)

We had a scan at 7+2 at the fertility clinic and baby was measuring right on time, due 15th June.

Had my booking in appt beginning of Nov and my bloods done on 16th Nov. I received a call on 13th Nov to book my scan in for 5th Dec but its not showing on badger app and i still haven't received a letter yet, but my consultant appt (I am classed as high risk so will be consultant led care) is showing on the app for 15th Dec and received a letter for that.

Should I call to make sure it is definitely booked in?

Sorry for the long post !!!

xxx

Hey all, I'm 12 weeks today and my bloating has settled a lot but there's definitely a bump left behind! Nausea has finally calmed down this week too. Exciting. My scan is a week today (I always end up with late scans 🙄) and I'm nervous as i so so want it to all be ok.

Congrats @cosymama2020 - first of the official due dates!

For those of you waiting on scans, I had my booking appointment at 9 weeks and scan letter came through exactly a week later at 10 weeks. I'd definitely chase it it gets past 10 weeks. I ended up with a late dating scan last time (measured 14+1) and she said had it been a day later she wouldn't have been able to do the screening. So it never hurts to chase!

Stephy1024 · 22/11/2023 13:42

@oop your dating scan is the same day as mine. I'll be 12+5 and feel this is ages away. 😆

MizzMarple · 22/11/2023 13:43

@babyp2024 no harm ringing them, although I’ve found what makes it into Badger and what doesn’t is pretty random.

Ive had the weirdest couple of days. Monday night I had the biggest bleed - soaked through all my clothes and then a massive clot type thing came out. Was completely sure I’d miscarried but had a scan this morning and it was absolutely fine! No idea what it was.

DemelzaRobins · 22/11/2023 14:10

I have had my 12 week scan. Baby was very active which was reassuring after two previous losses. I almost cried when I heard the heartbeat. Just got to wait for the blood results now.

When I had my 7 week scan with EPU I was measuring a day behind. I am now measuring a day ahead and am due on 1 June rather than 2 June.

My 20 week and 36 week scans are booked for Jan and May (my area does a 36 week scan as standard).

Going to start telling family this week.

babyp2024 · 22/11/2023 14:59

@oop I called at lunch and they are resending the letter but it definitely booked for 5th Dec phew

Anotheranxiousone · 22/11/2023 19:01

What a relief @MizzMarple! sounds like a haematoma :/

DanisEndo · 22/11/2023 21:46

DH has just agreed and booked a private scan for Friday!!! I’m so excited!!! NHS scan isn’t until mid December

Forest1234 · 23/11/2023 07:58

Hi Ladies, joining very late hope that’s ok. Congrats all. Depending on calculator due date is either last day of June or 1st July. Booking apt done (apparently high risk for this pregnancy 🙄🤷‍♀️) and private scan this week 😬 Hope everyone and little bumps are progressing nicely!

Littlelionroar1982 · 23/11/2023 08:07

Hi! New here. I’m 8 weeks + 4 due 30th June (so just fit in this group) my little boy is 2.5. Looking for some sickness support - had hypermesis in my first pregnancy but it was missed until 20 weeks during Covid. I’ve got promethazine which I’ve doubled on after dr advice but it makes me worse, so groggy and more nauseous and my sickness is getting worse. I got to throwing up 10/15 times with my little boy - I tried to welcome it after 2 miscarriages but it became debilitating. I’ve stopped my promethazine and gone back a step to cyclizine (I had some in the cupboard from a vertigo upload or last year) what I wanted to try was omeprazole as most of my problem is stomach acid in my throat which makes me constantly sick but I was told it comes with risk in early pregnancy so they gave me gaviscon and wow - the taste of that on the way back up is awful! Really looking for some support and someone to vent and cry at, I know my sickness peaked at 10 weeks and it was easy to hide cause of lockdown but I’m trying so hard with work and Christmas parties etc coming up I just want to enjoy a scrap of this pregnancy because I’m honestly miserable and feel so ungrateful.

mamataylor · 23/11/2023 10:14

@MizzMarple I had a heavy red bleed yesterday and it was so scary. I had a scan yesterday afternoon at the EPU and it showed a happy baby and a strong heartbeat. No obvious reason for the bleed either. Still bleeding though so taking it easy today. Hope everything is ok with you x

DevonMum2Be · 23/11/2023 10:54

I definitely tempted fate by saying that my nausea and tiredness had reduced 😄 the last couple of days I’ve been feeling quite nauseous again and had to have another lunchtime nap again yesterday. I guess it’ll be a case of peaks and troughs for another few weeks yet.

Counting down the weeks/days till our scan and hoping everything’s going OK in there.

Good wishes to everyone 🙏🏼

VJFord · 23/11/2023 11:17

Hi @Forest1234 @Littlelionroar1982 I'm also due on June 30th. Sometimes I feel so far behind others in this group who are due in early June, so it's lovely to know there are some other late June/early July folks here.

I've been feeling super anxious in the last week. We had an early scan at 7+2 due to past losses, but then the hospital said they wouldn't see me again until 12 weeks. Two of our losses cam at around 8 weeks and after having a good scan, so my anxiety is sky high. I called the hospital yesterday and they've agreed to give me another reassurance scan at 10 weeks which I am so happy about! I'm also trying to be grateful for the morning sickness and hope it's a sign that things are progressing nicely. I have never experienced it this badly in a previous pregnancy.

GeeinItLaldyX · 23/11/2023 11:22

@DevonMum2Be Me too!! It has all come back with a vengeance. Cant stay awake and back to struggling to keep food down haha

Forest1234 · 23/11/2023 13:08

@VJFord sorry to hear about the losses. We have our first scan booked for tomorrow, the scaniexty is real! 😬 Yes, I would think sickness is good sign of HGc, as much of a pain as it can be

Ad12345678 · 23/11/2023 13:25

Hi @Littlelionroar1982 I got omeprazole OTC with zero questions from the pharmacist whom I told that I’m 2 months pregnant so I doubt about it being high risk tbh. They wouldn’t have allowed it in this case. Since I started it I feel amazing and eat pretty much everything now. I of course did my research before buying it and I’m taking full responsibility for my pregnancy.

Littlelionroar1982 · 23/11/2023 15:57

@Ad12345678 really? That’s good to hear. I’m at the Drs about something else on Wednesday and I’ll be almost 10 weeks then so I’m going to ask for some. I’m eating more than when pregnant with my little boy but it’s so hard and I do throw it up, I’ve also just got braces that I have to remove to eat (and throw up) it’s really difficult to keep on top of it all but I feel like the stomach acid is my biggest issue and hoping omeprazole is my cure! 😍

Wheeeeee · 23/11/2023 15:59

Hi all, sorry to hear so many of you are feeling rubbish or have had bleeds - it's such an anxious time.

I had an early scan at 8 weeks which looked good, and my booking appointment was yesterday which went fine - currently considered low risk. The midwife was so lovely, I hope I get to see her again! Now nervously looking forward to my scan in early December.

I'm still permanently nauseous, bloated and shattered. My poor DS1 is really noticing something is up - he's become very clingy and is acting out something rotten for his Dad (who is a superstar and has been picking up so much slack while I've been feeling rubbish). I don't think DS1 is going to react particularly well to having to share me Sad

Ad12345678 · 23/11/2023 17:32

@Littlelionroar1982 My Dr has no idea haha. I checked the NHS website, drugs.com and a few other credible sources and went straight to the pharmacy, checked with the pharmacist to make sure and was the happiest person 30 min later when it started working. Sometimes we can make our own decisions 💪I hope you feel better soon!

Littlelionroar1982 · 23/11/2023 17:56

@Ad12345678 amazing thank you! What were your symptoms? My nausea is 24/7 and talking about it is enough to be sick but the biggest thing is this constant lump feeling in my throat that I know is stomach acid and I’m constantly swallowing or eating sweets to prevent it but just now I’ve smelt something nasty and I’ve thrown up everything I’ve managed to eat all day and because of that I’m probably only having about 5 wees a day! On Tuesday it got to 3pm and I’d not been since I’d woken up! I don’t even need to feel amazing just normal would be nice 🫣😂

Catson · 23/11/2023 18:11

@VJFord @Forest1234 @Littlelionroar1982 I'm also due the end of the month 😊

Forest1234 · 23/11/2023 20:28

Hi, as a late comer can I just ask if anybody set up a Facebook group please that I might have missed? Thanks

Ad12345678 · 23/11/2023 21:08

@Littlelionroar1982 my nausea wasn’t very bad, I never threw up thankfully but I have GERD which got worse I think by all the fatty fast food stuff I ate during last month. I had same as you - feeling like food is stuck in my throat all the time and stomach acid coming all the way back to my mouth, meh. Oh and gaviscon was no use, tried that first.

Tefiti3 · 24/11/2023 08:48

@Forest1234 yes we do have a FB group - let me figure out how to share the link again and I will pop it on the thread!

Forest1234 · 24/11/2023 09:22

@Tefiti3 thank you, found it a lifeline when I had my daughter
