buckingmad · 18/09/2023 15:18

@RG9895 ah you're my due date buddy!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 18/09/2023 15:20

@RG9895 thank you for the new thread.

I'm almost 20 weeks, but I'm early feb due date. Baby expected to be induced early again like my last however. Think the rest of you will all be 20 weeks plus!

Kalodin · 18/09/2023 15:20

We are all over the 20 week mark unless we have some early February due dates here too? I'm due 29th Jan and am currently bang on 21 weeks.

WitcheryDivine · 18/09/2023 15:23

I’m due 3rd Jan.

Freaking out as they found a trace of protein in my pee earlier - anyone else had this?

suz2285 · 18/09/2023 15:23

Thanks for the tag! I'm just over 23 weeks now and 13 weeks left at work, got some days off in there too though 🥳

Ive got the midwife next week, 25 week appointment, I've been getting a lot of headaches but I think it's from back tension I bought a bp machine and my bp is the lowest it's ever been so it's not that!

suz2285 · 18/09/2023 15:25

@WitcheryDivine see you had your diabetes test too, I think it's common to feel pretty crummy after that tbh!

I'm still waiting to get my date though but my midwife pal said more likely to be closer to 28 weeks for me to hear so we shall see!!

Dunno about the protein in the urine but I imagine they'll just keep an eye on it, it must be common as they test from the beginning for that!

Onedayatatime24 · 18/09/2023 15:31

I'm 23+1 today, due 14th Jan! I've got 16 weeks left at work (but a week off for Christmas in with that so technically 15 working weeks!)

For those who have had their glucose tests - were you okay to drive afterwards? I was planning on taking myself but don't want to risk driving if I'll feel crap after!

Kalodin · 18/09/2023 15:32

Is this just the dip or have they sent it off already @WitcheryDivine - they found trace in mine but then sent it off and it came back all okay. They were worried as my blood pressure tends to be on the higher side too, so they're just keeping an eye.

RG9895 · 18/09/2023 15:34

Sorry no help with protein in the wee but it anything I'm sure it means they will keep a closer eye on you ☺️

Does everyone have a glucose test? My mw has never mentioned this. I have my 25 week next week too so going to ask about it but just wondering.

Is anyone else really panicking about movements and when to get checked? I got checked before as I didn't feel anything for almost 24 hours and thankfully she was ok this was a few weeks ago and now am worrying as she was quiet yesterday and has been today. I do still feel her but not as much as usual. I don't want to seem dramatic but also never forgive myself if it was a sign and I never got checked...

Only those at risk of GD @RG9895

sashastuck · 18/09/2023 15:44

@RG9895 I didn’t get a GTT, not everybody needs one but I’m not sure of the requirements. I think if you’re questioning movements enough to ask, you should go in ❤️ nothing wrong with checking and I know how nerve wracking it is. I give myself until 10pm every evening to feel him move as he’s most active in the evenings but I’ve vowed to go in should I be worried! Have you tried the tricks they suggest such as cold drink?

Gremlin84 · 18/09/2023 15:44

@WitcheryDivine i had protein in my first urine sample - was an asymptomatic UTI, so they just gave me some antibiotics and that was that. Nothing too much to worry about - UTIs are incredibly common in pregnancy. They more tell me off for ketones, which means I'm dehydrated - that's only when I have an early morning appointment though, and I have no idea how I'm supposed to suddenly be hydrated at 8.30am when I only woke up an hour before and there's only so much water drinking time XD

suz2285 · 18/09/2023 15:45

Also if anyone is due their flu/covid vaccines I had mine last week and the next day I could barely keep my eyes open, the day after I felt very meh, luckily I had taken the day off work just incase but worth keeping in mind you might feel sleepy and less than ideal for a few days 😂

@RG9895 I'm still getting quiet/busy days with the movements but tbh like you say it's always worth getting checked if you are anxious at all!

Hopefully you don't have to get the glucose test, I see a lot of people getting them now but as @Kalodin says it's only
If there's a risk factor, for me my sister has type 1 diabetes and my dad and grandad both had type 2!

flowerpot258 · 18/09/2023 15:47

I'm 22 weeks.

I can't find who posted it but seen someone mention protein in your wee. I have this.

Midwife done a test and it showed nitrates ? And protein in my urine. It got sent away but came back clear.

I also had an appointment with obstetrics department and they took a urine test, same thing so that's been sent away to get tested.

Apparently if it's clear it could just be baby irritating the bladder

flowerpot258 · 18/09/2023 15:48

Also, anyone else had a c section last time and trying to decide between a VBAC or a ERCS?

RG9895 · 18/09/2023 15:49

Thanks ladies! I googled it and I think I should as my BMI is over 30 I will ask next week ☺️ not that I want it but would rather get checked!

I'm gonna giver her another hour for movement and then go in and get checked I think, id rather look like an idiot than risk anything! Tried cold drinks and something sugary and not made much of a difference. Its so stressful and worrying isnt it! I can't wait until shes here so I can see shes ok, it's difficult when no idea whats going on inside

Thanks all for replying about protein in urine.

can’t see who asked but I felt incredibly dodgy after my glucose test. If you want to drive home after maybe take yourself for a coffee or lunch before you do so. I was literally buying lunch right after when I felt horribly faint and needed a lift home.
