@Kalodin Call triage. It definitely could just be irritation from the stitch, or could even still be blood from the stitch going in, I had various shades of blood for around a week afterwards. I was quite surprised at how stern they were yesterday that they really want me to go in if anything at all changes or feels off etc no matter how minor though. He said as well as time they need to make sure the stitch doesn't need to come out and waiting could damage the cervix. Definitely call them x

Our nearest level 3 is about 40 minutes away (New Cross, Wolverhampton). It would be my preference as DS3 was born there and the care was incredible. They only have 8 intensive care cots though and our trust usually contact them second for some reason, they seem to contact Stoke first which is about an hour and 10 minutes away. After that would be Birmingham Women's at around 90 minutes (DS3 was there for a few months too!) and then Liverpool Women's which is 2 hours away.

Kalodin · 20/09/2023 13:06

Ah that's not too bad @PartRadish Hopefully you won't need it this time but if you do hope you get transferred to New Cross. Ours is usually Addenbrookes, followed by Norwich (where I was for previous 2) and then a London one.

Have tried calling triage but they're constantly engaged. Going to just monitor it.

Onedayatatime24 · 20/09/2023 13:29

I've been feeling movements really low down, then the next day around my belly button and then low down again. I'm 23+3. Always felt baby around 11am for a couple of weeks and now he seems to have stopped and just wiggling at other times whenever he wants. Not sure if a cause for concern with the routine change as I'm still feeling him?

Mummyme87 · 20/09/2023 13:49

we are a level 3 unit and take women from all over London, south coast, Kent. We’ve had women from Doncaster, Sheffield and Liverpool also.

@Kalodin why don’t you just go into triage, that would be the recommendation with a bloody show.

@PartRadish good news on your cervical tracking scan

I’m a bit of a write off today. Walked the dog this morning which was agony with this SPD, and have been on the sofa since. Think I’m getting the boys lurgy aswell

EL27 · 20/09/2023 14:02

Had my 24/25 week appointment today with midwife, checked urine, bp all OK. Heard baby's heartbeat again which was so much louder easier to find this time. She explained it is normal that they're still that low at this time.

Also explained about patterns saying if I'm busy working on my feet all day I may not notice baby's movements as much as I do when I'm just relaxing on the sofa, which is so true and never thought of that! She did reassure though if I'm ever concerned to call or come in as they'll never be annoyed about checking and always rather check.

Honestly my midwife is great, really thorough and understanding about any questions I have as first time pregnancy! Hope all your appointments and pregnancies are going as well as they can.

WitcheryDivine · 20/09/2023 14:50

@Mummyme87 Urgh hope you feel better soon.

Thanks so much for all the great advice you give on here.

@Kalodin I think you should probably go in, you'll feel awful if you leave it and then have an infection etc.

RG9895 · 20/09/2023 15:35

Thanks to those who replied about whooping cough, arm is feeling better today ☺️

@Kalodin hope everything is okay! 🤞🏻

@Onedayatatime24 I always worry if I should go in or not and I've been twice now and tbh next time I'm just going straight In because its not even worth bothering worrying about what they will think, thats what they are there for! Ive noticed a pattern for the last 5 weeks but she hasnt moved very much for the last 3 days, I have been and got checked but they can only use the doppler atm as not 26 weeks so not the usual monitoring so I'm going for a scan tonight just to be on the safe side and for some extra reassurance

@Kalodin Sending you the best! Hope everything turns out okay and nothing to worry about.

@RG9895 It's so hard knowing whether to get checked or not, especially as I'm only 23/24 weeks. It's not what they'd think really, it's more that we both work full time and getting out of work and to the hospital isn't the easiest for either of us. Although work seems a rubbish excuse not to go in case something is wrong. Agh just so much uncertainty and second-guessing yourself isn't there!

Kalodin · 20/09/2023 15:40

Just been seen at triage, stitch is holding well but is infected! Didn't even realise I felt unwell but my obs indicated an infection too. Urgh. Least its not labour though!

Onedayatatime24 · 20/09/2023 15:41

@Kalodin oh good news (ish)! Hope it clears up quickly for you!

RG9895 · 20/09/2023 15:47

@Onedayatatime24 yeah us too, admittedly we did go straight after work and potentially should have gone sooner but thankfully she was okay! I went at 20 weeks and 24 which I know is early and don't usually have a pattern but I've felt her pattern for 5 weeks so it worried me and when I went at 20 weeks I had been feeling her every day for 2 weeks ish and then nothing for 24 hours...obviously after getting checked she kicked on the drive home 😂 it is really scary and sometimes confusing as every midwife I've seen has said something different to me about movements and patterns! In a way I'm glad I'm not on my own though and have this group! ☺️

@Kalodin thats better news than labour! Hopefully the infection clears up quickly for you 🤞🏻

So glad you went in!

Can completely imagine not really noticing you feel unwell, there's so much going on in our bodies at the moment.

Can anyone recommend a good youtube vid or something for gentle stretching in pregnancy? My legs are so tense they're really driving me mad.

Mummyme87 · 20/09/2023 16:15

Glad you went in @Kalodin and have been seen

Hummusanddipdip · 20/09/2023 16:24

Just catching up, I'm pleased for you it's not labour and hopefully the infection clears up quickly @Kalodin

I'm so so tired today, ds didn't want to go to bed and then our dog just wouldn't settle at all last night, he kept whining and fidgeting in his bed. And on top of that comfortable wasn't a position I could find 🤦‍♀️
I shouted at the children I work with, I totally disagree with shouting at them, but they just wouldn't listen to the class teacher or myself. I felt so horrible after...

Kalodin · 20/09/2023 16:53

I actually really like this routine @WitcheryDivine the sound is a bit annoying but I like the movements

Thanks - I'll definitely give that a go and maybe have a bath after. It's ruining my work as I think I'm barely sleeping for the second half of the night!

Luhou · 20/09/2023 19:36

@Kalodin hope you feel better soon xx

Luhou · 20/09/2023 19:36

How we getting on with names? Think we have first name picked but disagreeing on middle names.

FirstT1meMum · 20/09/2023 20:01

@Luhou we have our name 🥰

Luhou · 20/09/2023 20:04

@FirstT1meMum exciting! Are you telling anybody or keeping it a secret? With first DD we were really open and told everyone the name we'd chosen (it was covid so felt like something to talk about!) So far not told anybody, undecided on what to do!

Hummusanddipdip · 20/09/2023 20:05

@Luhou we have a middle name as ds had chosen the name he likes best, its one dh and I have discussed but we don't love love it. So still thinking about first names.

We agreed on Harriet Louise if he was a girl (we love Harriet and Louise is a nod to my mum, mil, sil and me as it's all our middle names) ds has fil and dad's name as his middle name (they conveniently share a name)

RG9895 · 20/09/2023 20:05

@Luhou we have our name too! Had it for a while before I was even pregnant 🙈

Mummyme87 · 20/09/2023 20:09

My girl name was Edith, and boys names is a struggle after having two already. We won’t tell anyone as don’t want opinions, but on the list we have Ezra, Wren, Rafferty (Rafe), Arlo, Zavier, Rowan, Harry.
