Thanks for new thread!

Also struggling with hip wnd pelvic pain and feeling of pressure low down. Also leg cramps. Nightly bath helps a bit before bed.

EL27 · 19/09/2023 21:28

Joining new thread!

Anyone else feeling movements really low down still? I'm 24+5 weeks and still feel all movement quite low down (below belly button) and no routine to movements yet. Hoping this is normal 😬🤞

Also heartburn has been crazy lately after food 😫

Redpanda21 · 19/09/2023 21:46

@EL27 my movements have been on my bikini line last few days. Baby is transverse according to a scan yesterday

Lilothblos · 19/09/2023 22:03

@EL27 I’m a bit behind you at 23+4 but all my movements are below the belly button too, and pretty sure she’s lying transverse still. Guessing it must be normal at this stage!

RG9895 · 19/09/2023 22:04

Wow this thread is moving fast' haha I'm 24 weeks today and have felt and see kicks above my belly button but I think she has moved as can only feel them very low now and pretty sure hitting my cervix as it feels soooo weird

Bims2019 · 19/09/2023 22:11

Sorry to hear so many of us have aches and pains, my lower back has started aching over the last week. It's probably because I'm not sitting properly, but a pillow or few seem to help.

I'm 25 weeks today and feeling most kicks on the left side so think that means baby is transverse? Occasionally though I do get flutters low down and higher, so not sure if they're doing somersaults or what 😂 25 week midwife appointment tomorrow and hoping I get to hear heartbeat again!

Lightningrain · 19/09/2023 22:12

@EL27 I’m also 24+5 and I’ve only felt little pulses to the left hand side just below my belly button. The midwife confirmed baby is still transverse when I saw her last week so I assume this is the reason.

She said to start taking note of any patterns in movement but it might still be another couple of weeks before I properly notice anything being regular.

Luhou · 19/09/2023 22:21

@EL27 I'm 22 + 5 and feeling kicks really know at like knicker line level almost.

RG9895 · 19/09/2023 22:25

Had my whooping cough jab this morning and now my arm is absolutely killing me! Those that had theirs, how long did the sore arm last? Not looking forward to sleeping on it tonight!

OP posts:
Bims2019 · 19/09/2023 22:29

@RG9895 the sore arm lasted a couple of days for me, hopefully won't be long for you. I know what you mean though, it's a literal pain!

Redpanda21 · 19/09/2023 23:02

@RG9895 mine lasted about 48 hours and was fine. No other reactions or symptoms.

Vikki7 · 20/09/2023 00:54

Checking in to part 7! Thanks for the tag and new thread :-)

Kalodin · 20/09/2023 05:47

Only a day @RG9895 Hope you wake up today with it feeling better

Might be @Bims2019 But then I feel kicks mainly on the right, have done for a while and last scan showed baby very much head down, back curled along my left side and feet towards my right.

RaspberryTime · 20/09/2023 06:49

I’m getting the night time pain too - mine is leg heaviness…I don’t know where to put them sometimes and just turn and turn all night long. The joys!

sashastuck · 20/09/2023 06:57

@Bims2019 same, I’d say 80% of my kicks are on the left side! Still below belly button - DP asked midwife last week at my appointment and she said that’s normal. At 21 week scan he was head down but I’m pretty sure he’s been transverse ever since.

Hand up for also suffering lower back pain a bit 🙋🏻‍♀️

Mummyme87 · 20/09/2023 07:20

At 24weeks the uterus usually sits at the belly button hence why all movements tend to be below that. Mine are all over the place, from right down on bikini line to up at belly button level and 23+4 today. Very active baby!!

Dannic2018 · 20/09/2023 07:37

So acid reflux took itself to a new level last night, had to have a bowl as kept being sick and constant burping. No sleep yet again
Looks like I’m going to have to start taking Omeprazole every day religiously and I guess no more chocolate or sweets on a night 😩 I just want to sleep 😴

very active baby here from belly button right down to my cervix

Matildahoney · 20/09/2023 08:19

@RG9895 mine lasted about a week. When I mentioned it to a consultant at a later date she said they must have nicked a nerve!

Whataretheodds · 20/09/2023 08:25

Hi all, wow what a lot going on!
I'm 21 weeks tomorrow, due 31 Jan.

Going for my anomaly scan today,

hopefully I'll be back afterwards to find out everything I need to know about pregnancy pillows and protein in urine. I haven't felt able to plan until I know everything is OK. Not sure I've felt movements yet. So hard to tell!

Have an easy day!

PartRadish · 20/09/2023 09:36

Kalodin · 18/09/2023 17:05

Absolutely should not have come into work today. Still so sore after that cerclage. @PartRadish when did it clear up for you this cramping? Mines radiating around back and thighs now, definitely gets worse if I'm upright, eases off when I recline

Sorry I've only just seen this @Kalodin! Period type cramping only lasted a couple of days for me. Tightenings/pressure pain on the other hand have been ridiculous. How is it now? If its still crampy now I'd give triage a call and see if you can pop up for some swabs, it's probably nothing but they told me period type cramping could be a sign of infection.

PartRadish · 20/09/2023 09:41

First post stitch cervical length scan yesterday. I have quite intense tightenings and pressure over the weekend so I was really expecting bad news but the stitch is doing exactly what we need to! Such a relief!

I did get a bit of a telling off for waiting and not going straight in over the weekend when I was having tightenings/pressure. Consultant pointed out they need me there ASAP to give steroids/magnesium and get us to a hospital with a level 3 nicu. So my bag is now packed and in the car just incase, but I'm hoping it being there will mean we don't need it!

LuneDArgent · 20/09/2023 09:46

@Dannic2018 thank you so much for sharing ❤️ I still remember the first time I found out I was pregnant in 2021, how happy and confident I was! It didn't even occur to me that something could happen. 2 years and 4 MC later I feel like a completely other person. 2 of my MC happened on Christmas day, 2021 and 2022, it was awful. I like to think that maybe this baby will be born around Christmas 😊

I also feel movement very low down too, left side and right side! Not really a pattern yet, but I find she's moving a lot more in the morning. 23+5 today.

@Whataretheodds good luck for your scan today!

Kalodin · 20/09/2023 10:40

I'm actually tempted to call triage @PartRadish As just had a bloody show

WitcheryDivine · 20/09/2023 10:58

Oh my gosh Kalodin I'm thinking of you and wishing you the best of luck.

Can't believe we're getting to this point.

Kalodin · 20/09/2023 11:09

Idk if I'm being dramatic and I don't want to leave work 🤦‍♀️

@PartRadish glad to see your scan went well! Also reassuring me that these tightenings could just be "normal" part of pregnancy and not that labour could be starting. How far away is your level 3?
