Checking in! Wow we have moved fast today!!!

I have my GTT on 10th Oct and was planning on going into work after so hoping I feel okay! 🤞🤞

24 weeks yesterday, can't believe how fast it's going 😍

WitcheryDivine · 18/09/2023 19:46

Wishing you excellent luck with this pregnancy @LuneDArgent xxx

Bims2019 · 18/09/2023 20:17

Wow I've missed a lot today! Just checking in, thanks for the new thread 😊

I'm 25 weeks tomorrow and 14 weeks left until mat leave, feels like it's going so quickly now! Have been feeling very tired this week and struggling to concentrate at work, hope it's just baby having a growth spurt but will mention to midwife play my appointment on Wednesday.

MrsJ6921 · 18/09/2023 20:50

I’m 24+3 today. With only 3 months left at work I’m really looking forward to finishing now! I have my 24 week MW appointment tomorrow where we get to hear our little girl’s heartbeat for the first time so my DH has been invited along too.

lilluce95 · 18/09/2023 21:07

Hey guys, sorry for the horrid pic but I've come up with this weird rash this evening on my underarms, breasts and wrists.

What could it be? 😓😩

Redpanda21 · 18/09/2023 22:21

@lilluce95 thats hives. Seems like you’ve had a little allergic reaction to something.

lilluce95 · 18/09/2023 22:24

@Redpanda21 I had my suspicions it was that after a google, not had anything out of the ordinary though so it's bizarre! Thank you x

lucya66 · 18/09/2023 22:31

Hey marking my spot. I’m 25 weeks now and it’s going so fast for me too! Honestly I’m loving being pregnant now.

After 15 weeks of being sick every day (wk 6-21), I feel like my old self again now. I have more energy, I want to eat more and do more socialising. I’m nesting and planning a baby shower next month. Feel little baba moving about regularly and love my little bump.

it’s all good here.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 18/09/2023 22:44

@lilluce95 no idea sorry so hope it gets better soon.

Your dog is gorgeous though! What type is he/she?

lilluce95 · 18/09/2023 23:08

Aww love that @lucya66!! 🥰

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thank you! I've taken an antihistamine so hopefully that'll help it go down a bit 🤞🏼 haha I didn't realise she snuck in the photo 😂😂 she's a lakeland x patterdale terrier! Xx

Guineapigfosterer · 19/09/2023 07:37

Hi everyone im 21 +5 (due 25th Jan) and ive been following all of your journeys and its so lovely to have a little community. We have our 20 week rescan on friday as our little one was a monkey and wouldnt let the sonographer get all the measurements. But we were reassured that what she did get was all good. Good luck ladies with your pregnancies and roll on for extended christmas mat leave

Flossiepot · 19/09/2023 07:52

Hi all, just marking my place on the new thread!
24 weeks today 🥰

Onedayatatime24 · 19/09/2023 08:58

Hey all, after some advice! I'm really struggling to sleep for the last week or so. Wake up with pain in my hips/side of pelvis and have to roll over, then happens again an hour or two later and I roll to the other side. I don't really have any pain during the day, only at night it seems...

I have a maternity pillow, and I've tried cushions under my bump, down my back, between my legs... nothing seems to help. The only position I can get in without any pain is on my back which obviously isn't ideal. If I prop myself up, is it okay to sleep on my back? Is it an issue at this stage? Got mixed opinions on Google so just wondering if anyone else is struggling and has found any solutions?

suz2285 · 19/09/2023 09:41

Welcome @LuneDArgent and congratulations! You are due the day before me! There's a few of us here who have experienced miscarriages before, totally understand not joining until now, i'm feeling the same it feels like we're actually preparing for baby now but also i'm still anxious! There is another thread for miscarriage support that is very helpful - for those of us pregnant after miscarriage if that feels like something you would like to join. At least 3 of us due in Jan in there! Others who are in the very early stages of their new pregnancies and some who have graduated with their babies and still pop in!

TunnocksTCake · 19/09/2023 09:45

Thanks for the new thread @RG9895 just checking in!

I am 24 +2 now, due 7th Jan and feel so much better for passing that viability milestone.

@LuneDArgent I was exactly the same with my first, 3 MCs before I had her and I basically pretended it wasnt happening until after 20 weeks, didnt buy a think until 25 weeks. Its completely understandable. I second @suz2285 and say join the pregnancy after loss threads, they were a lifeline with my first.

lilluce95 · 19/09/2023 10:49

@Onedayatatime24 I've seen a video where someone put a rolled up towel/blanket just in their waistline when laying on their side which they said helped them relieve pelvic pain? I can't imagine sleeping sitting up would be detrimental as we sit during the day anyway 🥰 hope you manage to get some good sleep soon though!

Welcome and congrats @LuneDArgent! 🥰

@Guineapigfosterer we have the same due date!! Congrats xxx

WitcheryDivine · 19/09/2023 14:13

Redid the pee today and no protein! Hooray. Thanks for all comforting words yesterday I really appreciated it. xxx

Onedayatatime24 · 19/09/2023 14:35

@lilluce95 ahh thanks, I'll give it a try! It's been over a week now and I'm dead on my feet at work so will try anything to get a few hours stretch at this point. 😅 Wondering if baby is just training me to wake up every hour at this point!

Mummyme87 · 19/09/2023 14:42

@Onedayatatime24 lying propped up is fine if it helps. The idea with not being on your back is being flat so the weight of baby doesn’t stop the oxygenated blood returning to the placenta, that doesn’t really happen until after 28wks anyway, and if you’re propped up it will definitely be fine. I roll from side to side all night due to pelvic pain, it’s really hard. I’m currently limping and waddling massively, works such a struggle already

LuneDArgent · 19/09/2023 15:13

Thank you all for welcoming me 😊

@suz2285 @TunnocksTCake thank you! I will definitely join this thread too! I'm sorry you have experienced miscarriages as well, but it's nice to know that some people can understand how I feel

lilluce95 · 19/09/2023 16:13

@Onedayatatime24 ahh being on your feet all day certainly puts the pressure on doesn't it! Even better you could treat yourself to a pregnancy massage 😆

suz2285 · 19/09/2023 16:23

@Onedayatatime24 @Mummyme87 I'm sore too, i roll from side to side all night, with being awake about 2-3 hours in the middle of that too while i snuffle and sneeze from the pregnancy rhinitis!!

My hips and back and shoulders are sore and tight, and if i walk now i'm getting the round ligament pain... i'm not even that big yet!! I also have all the pillows etc but yeah I just don't think you can really get properly comfy, I usually wake up more sore in the morning I think from not being able to move around as much during the night, which also results in tingly arms etc if i've lay on them too long!

I have been lounging at night and in the morning in bed with pillows propped up, as long as i'm not lying flat i think that's ok right??

I went to a pregnancy physio last week who did massage my back/shoulder but it's still tight this week, it's causing headaches as well so that's lovely also! 😂

Onedayatatime24 · 19/09/2023 17:18

Thanks @Mummyme87 might be a propped up situation for a little while then! @suz2285 ahh bless you, it's so annoying as I don't have any pain at all in the day then as soon as I'm in bed I start to ache. Also getting ligament pain when I'm walking, especially if I've sat down for a while then for up for a walk! I didn't expect to feel so many aches and pains quite early on either, thought it'd be around the 8 month mark or something 🤦‍♀️

Dannic2018 · 19/09/2023 18:22

@LuneDArgent totally understandable and the group @suz2285 has mentioned sounds good. I had a MC before my ds in 2019 and that knocked me and my hubby as I have 2 older children and never experienced it before. I definitely admit I took getting pregnant and not worrying for granted until we went through it ourselves. So we had our first rainbow in 2020. I then fell pregnant October last year and had a MMC with twins, lost one Boxing Day and one New Year’s Day and that was a totally different emotional rollercoaster and I’ll be honest I don’t think I’ve grieved or allowed myself today. But here we are having another rainbow, the anxiety is definitely something else but having love and hope and to know it’s completely normal. I still knicker check now and if it wasn’t for feeling her I’d be checking my boobs still too! We are all on this journey together so sending love

ps my glucose result has come back normal 🥳🥳 so I can eat my sweets still 🤣

Ttcdcno1 · 19/09/2023 18:51

Just marking my place 🥰

really suffering with hip/pelvic/back pain today 🙃it’s been there all day like a dull ache but gets worse if I’m stood or sat too long. Like shooting pains down the back of my legs when I try and walk 🥺
