@Mangotango39 I feel like we're having all the same issues! (I was on your other thread) I have also been having lots of weird pains today and feeling super uncomfortable. Finding it really hard not to stress about it but I realise it's probably all just things growing and stretching, but it is very unnerving, even after all the reassurance.

User0224 · 04/09/2023 20:04

I have no bump whatsoever and am 15 weeks with my second child haha. Don’t quite believe there’s a baby in there…

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 04/09/2023 20:10

If it wasnt for my bump and seeing LO on all these scans you wouldnt think i was pregnant as im still waiting to feel any movement aswell as that first kick! Has anybody else not felt baby yet? :/ x

I don’t feel anything but with my first I started feeling kicks around 17/18 weeks so it’s still early for me x

Mummapenguin20 · 04/09/2023 20:17

Was looking out for the new thread!

Currently 17+6 and expecting a boy 7th Feb, well according to my NIPT anyway haha. Have my 20 week scan on 20th September. I'm rounding up my weeks when people ask as also been much bigger with this second pregnancy.

I don't enjoy pregnancy either @AbsolutePlonker horrible sickness in both, this time I started on omeprazole for reflux at 8 weeks and that has helped massively, I vomited all way through until 39 weeks with my daughter. Maybe something to try from GP? I think @Kelb79 you were also having issues with acid causing vomiting? Omeprazole has been such a game changer for me and been able to stop the cyclizine and promethazine which were making me really sleepy and a bit zonked.
I also have bad SPD/pelvic girdle pain, which was bad in my first pregnancy and lasted until 2 years postpartum, and been getting worse since 6 weeks this time. My midwife was a bit bemused by me asking for a physio referral at booking😂
I had bad PNA/PND with my first and that's also affecting my ability to enjoy this pregnancy and I do feel a bit panicky at times about it coming back again.

I am defo not doing this again, will be done with 2 for sure, I'm impressed with those having more tbh!

Shrillwaffle · 04/09/2023 20:40

@Ihatewinding my 20 week scan is the same day 👋🏻

CheeseAndCrackersx · 04/09/2023 20:46

I've been feeling flutters mostly since 15 weeks which I thought I was going mad feeling so early as it's my first baby, but no baby does love a bedtime rave, and its getting more obvious now I'm nearly 17 weeks. Occasionally feels stronger movements too.
Only feel when been sat back for a while or lying in bed.

Tilly18101 · 04/09/2023 20:51

@BraveHeart91 I am! MCDA so same as yours, share a placenta but separate sacs (so glad because they couldn’t see the membrane between them at first!) I won’t go past 36 weeks either, so mine will be early Jan if all goes to plan! Do you know what you’re having? First baby? This is my second pregnancy so I’m going to have 3 pretty much under 2 (definitely not planned)

I’ve had a little bump since 13/14 weeks ladies but put it down to 2nd pregnancy and twins. I’m 18 weeks now and it’s defo a bump - I feel huge. I’m honestly so worried about how big I’m going to get carrying too, my back and pelvis are already so sore. I’ve had to book a physio appointment to try and keep on top of it.

Mangotango39 · 04/09/2023 22:32

@MrsW9 oh wow we are in sync! I keep getting so much reassurance to but it's never enough for my worrying mind.

yeah I tell myself the same that sooo much must be stretching and moving at this point , surely normal to get the pains! I was wondering if ligament I hear people mention?

Ebonythoughts · 04/09/2023 22:36

Hi all, so glad I found the new thread, thank you for making it!

Congratulations to everyone who found out they are having a girl or boy and to everyone who is choosing to wait and be surprised, I wish I had your patience!

Our 20 week scan is booked for 6th Oct when I’ll be 22 weeks and I could not wait that long so had a gender scan today at 18 weeks…we were pretty certain it would be a boy but it’s a GIRL! I would have been happy either way but I’m so excited it’s a girl and it all feels very real now!

Anterior placenta so feeling slight movements do nothing distinct yet but bump is definitely getting big and sleeping is so uncomfortable right now.

@Tilly18101 awww they thought with mine they was sharing sacs and placenta I was so relieved when I got told they have own sacs! this is my 3rd pregnancy not sure on what we having yet I’m 15 weeks on Thursday. I feel
massive already too 😂 do you no what your having ?

was your other pregnancy’s twins? Mine isn’t my daughters are 10 & 6

i have so much anxiety about ttts and always worried about how will I tell with the movements and I’m worried about super early labour 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Tilly18101 · 05/09/2023 07:59

@BraveHeart91 ah you’re only a few weeks behind me, have you got your 16w twin scan booked in with your consultant? Mine was at 16+2 but they confirmed two girls for us! So my husband will be totally outnumbered haha!

yeah I’m very worried about preterm birth and being in hospital a long time, I don’t do well in hospitals and I’m very anxious already about it but I’m taking each day as it comes and just keeping my fingers crossed we can at least get to 34/35 weeks if possible because they should be fairly well grown. I’ve heard TTTS is mainly a big worry for them before 24 weeks so you’ve already got to 15 weeks and me to 18 so far - let’s hope they keep going. I had a 1% weight difference in mine at my first twin scan so I’m really hoping they stay low level discordance on weight which is a good sign (anything under 25% is fine within NHS)

That’s so nice you have older girls, are they excited? They’ll be such good helpers 🩷

I already have a little girl, she’s 20m will be 2 when these arrive so they’ll all be super close in age and I hope play together when older!

AbsolutePlonker · 05/09/2023 08:13

@Ihatewinding I could have written that post myself!!! Luckily my PGP hasn't kicked in yet - I almost had forgotten how bad it was!!!! I was limping everywhere! Also you're one day behind me with everything - due date and scan 💖
I definitely think this will be my last. Partly for financial reasons but mostly because I don't want to lose a chunk of my DD's childhood feeling ill 🤢

Omg pgp - just googled as I never heard of this and I think it's what I am experiencing!

it's hurting to walk at the moment!!!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 05/09/2023 10:00

Has anyone used the little wedge pillows? I didn't get on with the long ones at all last time, wondering if the wedge ones might be better

BraveHeart91 · 05/09/2023 11:31

@Tilly18101 yes I’m the same I didn’t cope well when I had to stay in hospital a few weeks ago for fluids as I have bad sickness - I’m the exact same always worrying about them being born to early and them having to stay in hospital and me being sent home! I try not to think about it but I honestly can’t help it.

I have midwife on the 14th of this month then on the 19th I have appointment with my consultant I also got a text message to stay I have to go to St Thomas hospital up London for a fetal cardiology scan in October, I have no idea why nothing was mentioned to me about it. Have you had this ?

Have you started buying any baby bits yet? I really don’t no when to start but beings it’s two I don’t wanna leave it to late. x

CheeseAndCrackersx · 05/09/2023 13:34

Feeling for those heavily pregnant in this heat 🥵

amyg1985 · 05/09/2023 13:49

Me too @CheeseAndCrackersx - it's bad enough at less than halfway through! The only time I'm grateful to be at work is when it's hot and I can enjoy the aircon.

Mangotango39 · 05/09/2023 14:01

It's summer where I am December - March 😣it can get to over 40 degrees some days!

going to be living in a paddling pool haha

FTMCHD · 05/09/2023 15:09

@BraveHeart91 I’m expecting DCDA twins and have Fetal echo booked at the Evelina in St Thomas’s for the end of September. Mine is because I have a heart condition myself. Do you, your partner or other girls have/had any heart issues because that could be why?

Tilly18101 · 05/09/2023 21:33

@BraveHeart91 no I’ve not had a referral to any cardiology but my notes do say they couldn’t get accurate heart measurements so cannot rule out defects so they’ve rearranged my scan so my consultant has more time to check them and their hearts now they are bigger so hoping everything ok at next scan!

I’ve bought nothing yet, I didn’t with my first until I got past 24 weeks just always have that what if in the back of my mind. Luckily we have most stuff already as I already a toddler and kept everything so it’s a bit easier for me! If these were my first I’d probably have started by now, they really can come anytime from like 28 weeks! Such a scary thought - I hope both of ours stay put as long as possible!
