Congratulations to everyone who's found out they're having little boys and girls! We won't know for another month and it's driving me crazy. I mostly just want the peace of mind of seeing baby wiggling on the screen but knowing what it is will be so special too. We can finally start thinking of names. Right now we call the baby "Poppy" because they were the size of a poppy seed when I got my positive test result.

FrostedFlake · 04/09/2023 13:41

Congrats to everyone finding out the gender! If one is getting an ultrasound is it worth holding out until 20 weeks or could it easily be seen (pending on baby cooperating) from 18 weeks?

Tilly18101 · 04/09/2023 14:00

@mumtotwox ahh congratulations- you’ll nearly have your own 5 a side team, how wonderful.

@CheeseAndCrackersx Im sorry your NHS trust didn’t offer NIPT, I’ve not had to have it but it seemed standard across others? Could you raise as an issue? Like you say either way baby will be so loved and will be so lucky to have you as their mummy.

Mangotango39 · 04/09/2023 14:05

I thought the post was quiet - found you all!

we are having a surprise are we the only ones? i am somehow not even tempted haha it's so unlike me as I'm impatient generally 🤐

Is anyone experiencing pain atm? My pelvic hurts when I walk today and I feel like my insides are being kneaded like bloody bread.

AbsolutePlonker · 04/09/2023 15:24

Cannot wait for my 20 week scan because right now I just don't feel excited or interested in this baby - I think knowing the sex helps a lot, it makes the baby feel like a person.

It's booked for 19th September which feels so far away. I'm absolutely huge (my 4 month bump is currently the size it was at 6 months with my first baby!!!) and just fed up with pregnancy.

It just doesn't agree with me. I actually think I get a bit depressed when pregnant - but that could be the fatigue and sickness talking. I don't know - does anyone else hate being pregnant?

Proudgypsy · 04/09/2023 15:26

Joining the new thread! Congrats to all the boys and girls x

Proudgypsy · 04/09/2023 15:49

Does anyone else have a disappearing bump? It gets to 9pm and I look heavily pregnant and then I wake up in the morning and just look a bit bloated!

CheeseAndCrackersx · 04/09/2023 16:31

My next midwife appointment now isn't until 26 weeks, but I'm under CLC, so in regards to my MAT B1 form does anyone know if the consultant will give it me instead at my 1st appointment with them in October? Cos am I right in thinking we get it at around 20 weeks.

Shrillwaffle · 04/09/2023 16:35

@mumtotwox congratulations!!! 🥳 I’m getting gender envy I want to know now! I’m impatient af 🥲🤣

anony1111 · 04/09/2023 16:39

@Proudgypsy how many weeks are you? Mine was like that until about last week and it seemed to pop out all of a sudden. I'm 15 weeks today with my second baby

Proudgypsy · 04/09/2023 17:04

@anony1111 I'm 17+4 but still barely showing until the evenings, I'm guessing everyone shows differently as some on here had full bumps at 12 weeks and I hadn't changed a bit

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 04/09/2023 17:22

@Mummapenguin20 thanks for creating new the thread 🙂 hi ladies 👋 17 weeks today so thought I'd share a bump pic! Think I'm carrying smaller with this little girl compared to how I've carried my boys.. 😊 x

We're keeping it a surprise @Mangotango39 - I think I remember someone else saying they were too... but pleased to have some company!

Mummapenguin20 · 04/09/2023 17:40

PeeBeee · 04/09/2023 17:56

Hi all! Joining the new thread! We have booked a gender scan for this Sunday and I got the dates messed up - I will only be 15+5 at it! I feel like just playing dumb and going ahead anyway and hope they can see what they need to see but also afraid that it then may be a total waste of money🤷🏻‍♀️ I am so impatient haha! I have my next nhs appointment on the 18th Sept with the consultant so dont want to push the gender scan out another week! Anyone found out the genger where they werent exactly 16 weeks yet?

mumtotwox · 04/09/2023 18:06

Thank you for the love for our boy 🥰

Proudgypsy · 04/09/2023 18:14

Wow @MummyTo4BoysXXXX and @Mummapenguin20 your bumps are beautiful 💕 can't wait for mine to arrive!

BraveHeart91 · 04/09/2023 18:37

Hi everyone
hope you don’t mind me joining I’m due 29th February but I will only be going to 36 weeks as I’m expecting twins who share same placenta but have their own sac.

I’m suffering bad with severe HG it’s awful been admitted to hospital to have fluids ect 3 weeks ago. Currently on anti sickness tablets which seem to be helping so far.

is anyone else in here expecting twins?

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 04/09/2023 19:02

@Mummapenguin20 loving the t-shirt! Haha where is it from? 🤣

Mummapenguin20 · 04/09/2023 19:04

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 04/09/2023 19:09

@Mummapenguin20 yeah that's what we all say 😉 haha I'm sure I said that exact same comment after my 4th 🤦‍♀️🤣 ooopppsss! My bad! 😂

undercoverhero74 · 04/09/2023 19:18

@Proudgypsy that's exactly what I have! In the evenings I feel huge and pregnant but by morning I just look fat 😂😂 I feel I have to tell everyone in 15 weeks pregnant so they don't just assume I'm letting myself go and gaining weight.

Mummapenguin20 · 04/09/2023 19:27

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX this one is my 4th and I have a step-son. If my body would let me I’d have a football team but it don’t like being pregnant unfortunately this is my 14th pregnancy xx

BookwormDadUK · 04/09/2023 19:31

Hi everyone 👋 We're expecting 22nd Feb. Hope to find out the gender next month but we're fairly sure, for no particular reason at all, it's a girl.
