All the girls are being stubborn and don't want to arrive early 😂

kingfisher168 · 30/09/2023 23:00

@BambiBooBoo , typical girls, always have to be fashionably late! Some things never change 😄

doeandfawn · 01/10/2023 00:36

@Flying12 congratulations!!

Summer022 · 01/10/2023 01:49

Hi ladies, our beautiful baby boy was born via c section at 13:30 yesterday. He weighed a tiny 4lbs 11oz and he came out crying his heart out, no NICU needed ❤️ We will be in hospital for a week or so as he’s so tiny and he will need a follow up scan to check his kidneys in a few weeks, but I am just over the moon to have him here safely. The c section was an amazing experience, it was so calm and he was lifted out to ‘just the way you are’ by Bruno Mars on the radio. ❤️

GemmaJen · 01/10/2023 03:09

Well they weren't braxton hicks, but we're not in established labour either, but are dilated and efaced. But because we're still 35w we've been moved from triage onto the labour ward just in case. Feel like a right fraud 🙈

Another hour till we find out if things are progressing or I get moved to antenatal. Honestly just want to go home 😴

Saturnsmoon · 01/10/2023 04:45

@Summer022 congratulations, such lovely news and very happy for you that it was a positive experience overall.

@GemmaJen ooow gosh that must be a bit of a shock. Hope you get some more clarity soon and can get some rest.

Koalawhala · 01/10/2023 06:02

Congratulations @Flying12! I hope your c-section recovery goes well. Was it a planned section?

So pleased for you @Summer022! A positive birth experience and a healthy baby 😊, wishing you all the best

Koalawhala · 01/10/2023 06:04

Hope things start speeding up for you @GemmaJen, it's not nice being in limbo and can be so tiring when things start so slowly. Hope you've managed to get a bit of rest

Oh this is amazing!! Massive congrats and you're already a brilliant mum for pushing for what was right for your little one Flowers

Looks like we might have a girl joining all the boys today! Contractions were ramping up last night and because I need to have a section for medical reasons it looks like they might bring it forward to today. So excited to meet her at last!

NSx · 01/10/2023 07:04

Oh my goodness Congratulations @Flying12 @Summer022 more boys 😭💙💙💙💙

can’t believe all these October babies arriving in September 😂😂😂 ….

good luck to @GemmaJen @monsteramunch … I hope all goes well and you bring these babies in safely 💕🩷

ForeverAndEvers · 01/10/2023 07:22

Congratulations to all those who welcomed babies in the last fews days, and good luck for those where it looks like they're on the way!

Koalawhala · 01/10/2023 07:24

@monsteramunch how exciting! Good luck today

PeopleAreToads · 01/10/2023 08:13

@Summer022 congratulations, been thinking of you ❤️

BambiBooBoo · 01/10/2023 08:41

Congratulations everyone! 💙💕

BambiBooBoo · 01/10/2023 08:42

Is anyone else getting period cramps but then they stop every time 😩

FirstTimeMamaAtHalloween · 01/10/2023 09:08

@BambiBooBoo yes exactly this! No really obvious contractions, just bad cramps and lower back pain-my midwife said it’s false labour (I found bouncing on my ball helped)

Itsokaymama · 01/10/2023 09:29

Congratulations everyone having babies already❤️ my little girl seems far to comfy, 40+2 now and no signs at all! Officially an October baby

NSx · 01/10/2023 09:51

@Itsokaymama it seems girls can be a bit stubborn, my friend just gave birth to hers (finally) at 42+1 😂🩷 she did not want to come x

doeandfawn · 01/10/2023 10:19

Congratulations @Summer022!

We were in A&E for 11.5 hours last night because I’ve been having chest pain, no obvious cause found. Baby seems fine.

peonygirl · 01/10/2023 11:15

@Summer022 Congratulations! I am so happy you had a great birth experience after the stresses before and that the baby boy is doing well. He might be tiny but he is mighty :) I suspect he's getting that from his mum :) Enjoy lots of cuddles and know - I was born even tinnier than him and well...I am no longer tiny lol.

@monsteramunch go get your girl! Hope all goes well for both of you.

Itsokaymama · 01/10/2023 12:02

@NSx my first girl was a day early so I never expected to go past due date😂 however my due date from last period put me at 4th oct (thats how i ended up in this group rather than sept)

OrionNebula · 01/10/2023 12:12

@Summer022 congratulations, delighted for you, so happy he got here safely!

NSx · 01/10/2023 12:55

@Itsokaymama ahhh ok makes sense. Let’s see 😂🩷
I still have a few weeks to go… I’m one of the later October due dates it seems x

monsteramunch · 01/10/2023 14:07

Section has been moved to Tuesday so I'm going to spend the next two days stocking up on sleep, sleep and more sleep!

Feeling remarkably chilled about it, nervous about the section recovery but not about the actual op.

Any recovery tips from those of you who had sections in the past week or two would be very welcome! Flowers
