@Summer022 I agree with @monsteramunch , her advice is great and you should not leave this issue alone. Keep on fighting and demanding further care and support. The situation is not clear and they need to find a way to a resolution not just a dismissal.

In situations like this, I am grateful that my Trust is so thorough. I spent 5 hours today and 6 hours two days ago at the hospital because they did not want to discharge me until all results were in and a doctor saw me. And we are talking about issues with high blood pressure. I know if the scan would show something serious they'd hospitalize me. So keep on fighting for the right care for your baby.

Sagittarius25 · 29/09/2023 18:35

@Summer022 agree with PP's speak to PALS. But also if it was me I'd now be refusing to leave triage due to being concerned with the well-being of my baby and asking to speak to someone senior (consultant, doctor whomever). Surely they can't send you on your way from triage if you are expressing concern still.

OrionNebula · 29/09/2023 19:18

@Summer022 that's shocking treatment, really hope someone listens soon and you get the care you need.

PeopleAreToads · 29/09/2023 19:39

@Summer022 agree with the rest about asking to speak to PALS or someone senior. Or present yourself at the hospital and say you have reduced movements, not advocating for lying to medical professionals but things like that get you seen, then hopefully you'll get access to someone who will listen to your concerns

Don't feel like you're making a fuss, you're worried about your baby and have every right to be listened to 💐

Summer022 · 29/09/2023 19:54

Hi ladies, just an update - we FINALLY managed to speak to the Dr and she has agreed he needs delivering asap. Baby will be delivered hopefully some time tomorrow morning via c section and taken straight to the neonatal unit as he’s only roughly 4lbs 11oz and 36+1. Leaving him in is just too much of a risk x Thank you all so much for your advice and kind words, it means so much xxx

cruciverbalista · 29/09/2023 19:58

Good news @Summer022 so glad you were able to advocate for yourself and your baby. My friend gave birth recently at 36 weeks and they're both doing really well. Definitely the right move. Best of luck tomorrow ❤

peonygirl · 29/09/2023 21:02

@Summer022 so glad you have been able to get to speak to someone. Good luck tomorrow. The baby will have all the support needed and the best chance for a fully thriving life.

doeandfawn · 29/09/2023 21:05

Fab news @Summer022!! Good luck tomorrow, have the best time meeting your little one.

OrionNebula · 29/09/2023 21:47

Massive well done for advocating for yourself and your little one @Summer022 you're already a fantastic mum to them! Will be thinking of you tomorrow, let us know how you get on if you get a chance Flowers

FirstTimeMamaAtHalloween · 29/09/2023 23:21

katherine123x · 30/09/2023 05:15

Baby born yesterday midday by c section. Weighing 8lb9oz at 37+2 and definitely LOTS of fluid. Doing very well so far .....

Sleep on a maternity ward is hard! So glad I've brought my own pillow!

Smiffette · 30/09/2023 05:32

@katherine123x congratulations hope you aren't too sore and are able to get comfortable!

I've heard that about the wards not being great when you have to stay in!

Koalawhala · 30/09/2023 06:03

Congratulations @katherine123x! I hope you’re doing ok and can get home to some peace and quiet very soon.

Well done @Summer022 for advocating for yourself. All the best for today x

NSx · 30/09/2023 06:37

@Summer022 well done ✨✨✨
good luck for today, let us know how you get on if you get a chance 🤞💕 I’m rooting for you!

@katherine123x aaaaah massive congratulations babe! Hope you and baby are well…

What’s this now baby number 4 of the group? 3 boys so far, plus your baby? 🩷💙

those of you booked in for c sections, what gestation do they have u booked in for? Is it normally before or after 39weeks? I’m trying to mentally prepare myself for the possibility of having one myself; which was never my plan 🥹

doeandfawn · 30/09/2023 06:54

@katherine123x congratulations!! ❤️

@NSx mine said any time between 39 and 39+4, I chose 39.

Koalawhala · 30/09/2023 07:04

@NSx I'm booked in for 39+2 as 39 weeks exactly is a Saturday

Ahh he's a little dot 🥰 good luck, it will all be fine and you're getting your baby today 🩵❤️

ttcttc · 30/09/2023 07:13

@NSx why have they decided you may need a c section or was it your choice ?

NSx · 30/09/2023 07:27

@doeandfawn @Koalawhala thanks for the info 🤍 helps a lot. I’m hoping it doesn’t come to that, but I’m just trying to prepare myself mentally incase this is my only option, I don’t want to be in shock if this is offered to me next week!

@ttcttc I had a midwife appt yesterday and she fears the baby is breech. I’ve been reading up on ECV and I don’t think it’s very successful, so just trying to prepare myself Incase c-section is my only option, as I (naively) hadn’t really factored this in to ever be an option, unless an emergency!

FirstTimeMamaAtHalloween · 30/09/2023 08:21

@katherine123x congratulations!

monsteramunch · 30/09/2023 09:10

@katherine123x

New2thisss · 30/09/2023 09:17

Has anyone had one yet? 🫣

peonygirl · 30/09/2023 09:18

@katherine123x huge congratulations!! I am sure all those horrible morning sicknesses are forgotten now :) Enjoy the cuddles and wish you a quick recovery. ❤

So another boy joins the club. I wonder who's next?

cruciverbalista · 30/09/2023 09:22

Congrats @katherine123x ❤ Have all the babies so far been sectioned? I'm impatiently waiting for labor to start now haha.
