Also @BCxx glad to see your colostrum harvesting is now going well, I would have cried if I had lost some in the bath x

Getting section in another hour, lying down in hospital bed ready to be taken inside!
Excited as well as bit scared/ worried!! Mixed emotions!!

@Shinea hope you and baby are doing well and the section has gone okay!

Up at this hour due to a vomiting toddler, so far no change of sheets required due to super mum senses (don't know how I got him to the bathroom before he threw up), which is at least some small mercy!

@Shinea what happened that you ended up there? Hope all went okay and you’re holding your baby now! 😊

@Recoba exactly what you need now at this stage, isn't it. I hope you don't catch it and your toddler recovers soon!

@BCxx I m able to turn slowly but anaesthesia is tearing down and I m feeling pain and uterus contractions! have asked painkiller meds! I m waiting to get up and walk

I'm currently 20 hours into my induction, let's hope baby boy makes an arrival soon, I'm so excited!!!

@Shinea definitely just take it easy and lie back down if you need to. I felt very faint trying to get up. As soon as any sensation started to come back in my scar area I got some oramorph and it did seem to really help stop any of the pain starting. The sitting up bit is so not fun 😞

@newmummie exciting! Hope it’s quick and painless for you and baby is here before you know it! 😅

@cococat88 I am so sorry on the devastating loss of your little girl, there are no words for what you are going through. I hope that you have all the support around you. Wishing you and your family all the best.

Sorry for being out of the loop for the last week, I'll try to catch up when I can as I'm sure I've missed so much news.

Wanted to share that baby Luna arrived last Sunday 6th August. She was born in the pool at 16.33 using just gas and air 2 days ahead of the section date. Labour was traumatically speedy - pushing stage was 3 mins and had her 1 hr 30 after arriving in hospital with no time for other pain relief - and she was born unresponsive so they had to pull emergency buzzer and 10 medical staff rushed in and she was taken from me. She was born 3rd centile and the placenta has been assessed as really not great - very small and extremely calcified. They said she should have come out earlier and we're lucky she is ok. She has positional talipes/edge of club foot but otherwise no abnormalities.

I've only had a couple of hours sleep since her birth and am struggling with anxiety around her and coming to terms with the birth, but she is incredible and I'm besotted.

@DesertSnow aw so glad to hear you’re both okay.. congratulations on Luna 🤍 gorgeous name! Sounds like you were really lucky, it’s a shame they couldn’t have picked that up sooner, although they obviously did have some concerns. Hope your recovery goes well and you manage to process everything that has happened, it certainly all sounds very traumatic. Take care

Awww @DesertSnow I am so so happy that you and the baby is ok! I can’t believe they never noticed this were you not being checked regularly?? That’s worrying but so happy that you are doing well and baby was very safe 💕 what a beautiful name Luna and I hope you both continue to feel better and you feel less anxious as that sounded like a lot to go through!

Today has been prep day we are having baby very soon my c section is not far away and we had not told anyone to be honest! So told my friend as she needs to help me with our son on the day!

Then we told our mother in law to come on the Sunday when baby is born! But she doesn’t know it’s a surprise! My mother in law is very important to me, she is literally like my mother! She took care of me last year when everything happened she was so heartbroken but she is getting older and has high blood pressure when she is worried so we didn’t want to worry her!

We will tell her when the baby is born she will be the second person to know and then we will let everyone know after! But it’s made me so nervous I hope she will understand why we didn’t say anything!

This pregnancy unlike last year has been so amazing except for the multiple check ups just routine check ups it’s better than last year but I just didn’t want to put everyone through any worry! I wanted to deal with this privately! And I feel it was the best decision but now I am so nervous I hope a lot of people won’t be upset!

My friend was so happy and she said she completely understood and can’t wait to meet the baby so that was a really good reaction!

@Daisy155 I’m sure everyone will understand and no one will think anything of it once they meet your lovely baby 😊 Try not to worry about all the external things you can’t control and just focus on you and how you’re feeling. I’m sure itl be amazing. I have a few days to go too and feel a bit all over the place but going to write myself a list and focus on getting everything on it done then only let myself worry properly the day before

@DesertSnow congratulations on the arrival of Luna! Such a beautiful name. Really hope everything goes ok over the next few days, I'm sure it's quite overwhelming. You've done an amazing job though, try to get some rest and look after yourself ❤️

It all sounds quite traumatic, but the main thing to remember is that she is ok now. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Re positional talipes, my DS2 has it as well. He is now 10 days old and it's already getting noticeably better with some exercises. It's just how they were folded inside.
Get some rest when you can, look after yourself. Keep conversations open with your midwife and GP re anxiety. Sending strength.

Congratulations @DesertSnow !! So happy for you and your baby. Hoping the little one is getting lots of mama cuddles and that your recovering from the birth.

Try not to focus too much on the birth now and just let yourself get into rhythem with baby with feeds and changes and cuddles.
