@AnnieApple123 I feel ok now, not had any spotting last time I went for a wee an hour ago. I don't have cramps either not but still got those weird sensations which could be soo many things!!! I'm going to be over thinking like mad until the scan!!! Want to sleep and wake up on Thurs!

P1pk · 24/01/2023 17:26

@UsernameNotPresent congratulations! You must be so relieved!

I'm having a terrible day today. Woke up to bleeding with some cramps and now it seems to be brown spotting. I made a tel appt with gp who rang me at 3 and has made an appt epau for day after tomorrow. This is going to be the longest wait!! Is this much bleeding really normal?

Brown usually means old blood so maybe that's the end of the bleeding 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Some people bleed on and off the whole time! While it's common.. it doesn't stop it being scary!

Hopefully you get a nice scan and peace of mind 💙

sally16 · 24/01/2023 20:25

I've also been in bed since 7:30 with a cup of tea and some biscuits 😅
Feeling some little popping sensations tonight and keep thinking it's gas but pregnancy+ app shows the baby a little higher now so I'm hoping it's actually baby flutters 😭💙

BoodifulGoose · 24/01/2023 20:49

Thank you @LS888 & @Cat1424 , I'm so sorry to hear about your gran Cat that must be so hard 😭💙
LS, we lost my grandma in March of last year just after her birthday so I think you're right and those anniversaries (last time I saw her was Feb due to care home covid rules) coming up is making it so much more difficult! Those are definite signs though for sure. She knows 💙

also thank you @Amme18, I was actually thinking about you when I posted and really hoped I wouldn't upset you with my post, really appreciate such a lovely response. I can't imagine how hard that must be :( but I'm so glad you have your Nana still 💙

BoodifulGoose · 24/01/2023 20:52

@BCxx Very proud of your for going to the session, also love that he helped so much withe your outlook, he's totally right, you are so entitled to this. @sally16 Can totally understand your fears but hope you can look after yourself and not worry too much about what colleagues will think as you also fully deserve to look after yourself, you're the most important person in this scenario! Work will cope if you need to be off. Almost feels like imposter syndrome being this unwell early on when I know other women work/are fine up until they pop, but it's just as valid at 3 months, 6 or 8!

BoodifulGoose · 24/01/2023 20:55

For those being sick/feeling awful, I was terrible from 6 weeks onwards, sick every day and feeling terrible until about 1pm also religiously every day.

I'm 12w+3 today and haven't been sick for 7 days!!
Still feel a bit dodgy when I wake up and when I haven't eaten enough, but I have officially retired the sick bucket back to the cupboard as it very much seems like I don't need it anymore.

Still exhausted, but don't feel anywhere near as terrible.

Definitely light at the end of the tunnel in some cases! ☺

AnnieApple123 · 24/01/2023 20:58

@P1pk That sounds reassuring. Obviously still horrible to go through though. Must feel like forever to wait. Thinking of you. xx

Is anyone doing anything like NCT?

Thankyou for the kinds words ladies!
I certainly spiralled today and I think I just had a very extended panic attack about it all :(
I'm defo gonna try and go to work tomorrow! More just to prove to myself that I need to go off!
I ordered a support band my midwife sent me a link too that should come tomorrow too 🤞🏻

You've all helped calm my mind 💙

BoodifulGoose · 24/01/2023 21:06

@P1pk that sounds so stressful I'm sorry 💙 very not long until Thursday now, sending you all the best wishes 💙

@AnnieApple123 I'm thinking about bringing it up to fiance, but at £269 and being in our nearest city which is an hours drive away not sure how likely he is to want to go for it!

Amme18 · 24/01/2023 21:12

@BoodifulGoose thank you for being sensitive around your post ❤️ But honestly I find comfort in having people who understand in any capacity! Or people who don’t understand but still listen and don’t shy away from talking about it because it’s uncomfortable.

Nic2908 · 24/01/2023 21:26

Grief is such a horrible thing, it’s always rears its head when you are at your most vulnerable doesn’t it. Sending you all love, hugs and white feathers or whichever makes you feel your loved one is right there with you.xx

CityKity · 24/01/2023 21:28

@Amme18 @Sjw30 mine is Thursday too! This week has flown by, but I’m wfh tomorrow and know that it’s all I’ll be able to think about!

Congrats on all the scans today! I feel like I can’t even keep track of them all!

LS888 · 24/01/2023 21:29

@AnnieApple123 I’ve just signed up to an NCT class near me. Hubby was a bit worried he didn’t know anything. But think it will be good for us both. I read a lot and ask questions on here. Whereas I don’t think he does. So it will give us some time together to learn about our new arrival. It doesn’t start until the end of May. 4 weekday classes and 2 weekend ones.

BoodifulGoose · 24/01/2023 21:35

@LS888 if you don't mind me asking how much is that? Ours is just 2 weekend days and 1 zoom weeknight for £269?

@BoodifulGoose Aarrggh, just double-checked and it’s £369 here. Is that Greater London prices I wonder? That’s 5-6 sessions.

The new thread is now up and fingers crossed everyone on the list will be successfully tagged. The link is here if you’re not:

@Mumtobabyhavoc So sorry you went through that. Sounds like a wise decision to leave under those circumstances. Glad all is OK. xx

@BoodifulGoose thank you, feel like going to that was the first step and itl be fine now I’ve met him etc. Also thinking I chose the wrong career when I saw how much he was getting off me for 4 x 45 minutes work 😂 madness! but he obviously knows if you’ve gone to the effort of turning up you’re going to pay it

P1pk · 24/01/2023 23:25

@AnnieApple123 I would like to do those but they are nowhere near us :(

@BoodifulGoose thank you for your kind words

@Mumtobabyhavoc that sounds so stressful but glad all is OK x

marleyandme · 25/01/2023 07:32

@AnnieApple123 we're going to book onto a bump and baby group which is similar to nct but midwife led and a bit cheaper! Same thing though, they put you in a WhatsApp group with the other families and it'd 5 2hr evening classes and 1 social event.

LS888 · 25/01/2023 16:59

@BoodifulGoose it was £269 for the course. Didn’t realise others were different lengths and prices.

P1pk · 26/01/2023 17:09

Hi all, had my EPAU appt this afternoon. All is well :) such a relief. Thank you all for your kind words

LBF2020 · 26/01/2023 18:42

@P1pk I just went looking for you on the new thread to see how you got on today. I'm so glad your appointment went well, what a relief!!
