Thanks for sharing that @Createcomet . I’m relating a lot. I’m also not finding pregnancy that enjoyable this time round, to my disappointment. The first time I was so excited and felt like it was truly magical (although I was a bit blinkered really in retrospect!).

And I am definitely, definitely not the parent I aspire to be. I’m really hoping things will improve over the next few weeks and that I’ll be able to devote a bit more time to DS.

I’ve actually started feeling really bad for him about there being a baby and giving him competition. I don’t think he’s going to be very pleased and I’m quite dreading telling him currently.

It really isn't as enjoyable 🤣 I feel like I'm in survival mode constantly. My husband asked if I was okay the other day and I was like "no, I'm not actually. I've been ill for 3 solid months and it's really making me miserable" 🤦‍♀️

I'm having a terrible day today. Woke up to bleeding with some cramps and now it seems to be brown spotting. I made a tel appt with gp who rang me at 3 and has made an appt epau for day after tomorrow. This is going to be the longest wait!! Is this much bleeding really normal?

I've found a new obsession..
Coke Zero... zero caffeine... I can continue my addiction safely 🤣

And midwife's obviously spoken to GP and advised I don't work if tomorrow night is too much but my anxiety is saying leave me to cry alone 😂

Is anyone else part of the pampers squaddies? It's worth joining! Get free nappys quite a lot! Just have to do a survey and log the codes on your pampers packs to get points!

@sally16 ah I’m not but Jack is 3 and a half so just pull up huggies for night time now! Worth it when baby is here I’m sure

Had my 12-week scan today at 13 weeks. Measuring exactly on track, heartbeat fine etc. Estimated due date August 1st! Won’t get the screening results back for a couple of weeks, but feeling very relieved (especially after more brown discharge after sex a few days ago. I swear I’m going to be a nun for the rest of this pregnancy!).

@Amme18 I've just got size 7 coming for bedtime! The expensive ones too 😅

12 week scan today, measuring ahead at 12w3 days. EDD now 5th august

The scan was really in-depth and factual. Little one was bouncing on my full bladder and I had to do the bum wiggle in order for the sonographer to get her NT measurements. She kept saying 'you have a lively one!' 😬

@Sjw30 it's so much clearer than my private scan I had last week. The sonographer was so kind, she gave us loads of images. She even got one of him/her sucking its thumb 😂

Ah more lovely scan news ❤️ mines Thursday and feels even further away now than it did last week 🤣 I hate waiting!

One day I'll manage to stay up until 10pm again. One day...

I went to my first ever session with a therapist today! Not somewhere I ever thought I’d find myself 😐🙈 it turned out it wasn’t actually a session and was just a consultation. I’ve got a weekly appointment every week for the next 4 weeks. It cost an eye watering amount! I did think it would be expensive but wow 😬 but thought, I’ve made it this far and the guy seems to have changed all these people’s lives so I thought I’d spend that on a weekend away/holiday that wouldn’t make me feel better long term so sign me up!

Im looking forward to it already. I explained the state I’d got myself into before I went off sick (anxiety through the roof, barely sleeping, crying on the way home every day, beta blockers just to function etc) and how I felt guilty for now being off and potentially just buying time until I take the earliest possible mat leave at the end of May. He made a few really good points. He asked if I worked for a person or organisation. I said it’s the council so an organisation. He said and do you think anyone sending the memos or letters to you in that organisation (just to pay their own bills) actually cares about the fact you’re off? Does the person in payroll bother about whether you’re there or not before paying you each month?

He pointed out that if I died of a heart attack in a year, they’d have my job advertised the next day. He told me so many people play the system every day and all I’m doing is claiming the sick pay I’m fully entitled to for being genuinely unfit for work. So it’s made me feel a lot better about it all and he could obviously tell that I hadn’t really made a decision and was still thinking of handing in my notice and losing the mat leave pay but I’ve now made my decision and realised they couldn’t care less and I’ll get paid regardless so why do myself out of maternity pay? @sally16 you should take his advice too 🤣

@Createcomet I’ve been in bed since 7:35pm. Beat you too it already! It feels like heaven and I’d be quite happy just to roll over and close my eyes now. Got to edit the Ocado though and reply to emails.

So exciting reaching the 12 week milestone for a lot of us. Feels like an achievement 😜

Anyone still suffering badly with nausea and vomiting? I hope there is light at the end of the tunnel for it soon.

@Miraclesdohappen88 still on the sick train over here 🙋🏼‍♀️ Only 10 weeks though so hoping it dies down soon. It’s more nausea than actually being sick but I’ve found if I even go to say the words ‘I feel a bit sick’ I will literally just start gagging on the spot. Certain smells make me think ‘oh don’t gag, don’t gag’ and as soon as I think about it I do!

I’ve asked my midwife if there’s any chance they can rescan me sooner, she’s given me the number to phone tomorrow to ask, but if they will they’ve got to do it before Monday so I don’t think I’m in with much chance 🤣 worth an ask I guess!

@Miraclesdohappen88 yes strangely my nausea is more frequent now if anything at 13 weeks. I didn’t really get it at all until 9 weeks and then it was only odd days. Yet now it seems to be happening more and more.

@BCxx that sounds like a really positive appointment. Good therapists are hard to find in my experience.

@AnnieApple123 yeah I just get a good vibe from him and there are so many videos from clients on his YouTube saying how different they feel after so I’m like they can’t all be lying!
