12 week scan today here too, baby was very active and uncooperative but the sonographer was able to see everything he needed to in the end. Still measuring 5 days ahead so due date has been brought forward to 31st July (although I know it's "really" 5th August due to having a FET and therefore knowing my dates exactly).

Narwhal88 · 23/01/2023 15:59

@BusyBushBaby congrats on the scan! Interesting they have brought your date forward. I was measuring 3 days ahead at my last scan at 9 weeks but I also had a FET so know my dates exactly.

@BoodifulGoose congrats on your scan too 😁

AnnieApple123 · 23/01/2023 16:08

Hallelujah, all OK! Here’s the small person themselves giving you all a wave. I’m measuring 4 days ahead but will stick with my original due date as I’m certain of when I ovulated. Thanks for the good wishes everyone.

So pleased to hear your good news too @BusyBushBaby and @BoodifulGoose . xx

Ahhh great news @AnnieApple123 🥰🥰

BCxx · 23/01/2023 16:13

@BusyBushBaby aww congratulations, glad it went well ☺️

BCxx · 23/01/2023 16:14

@BoodifulGoose great news about the scan! Must be such a relief 😊

BCxx · 23/01/2023 16:17

@Createcomet after posting that I was sick this morning 😂 it actually felt like a relief after as I must of gagged about 15 times all morning non-stop then went up to the toilet and stood gagging until I was eventually sick. That’s only the second time this whole pregnancy but with my son it was every day during the 8-12 week bit! It was almost like I got up in the morning, was sick and could then move on with my day though whereas this time I feel more sick but I’m not usually sick 🙄 Hadnt really been tired but this weekend ive needed a nap and early bed both days so think that must be it catching up with me! I’ll be glad when this phase is over for us 🙈

Sjw30 · 23/01/2023 16:23

Congratulations on the lovely scans everyone 🥰 xx

sally16 · 23/01/2023 16:26

Wow what amazing scans!!! Feeling so real now!!!

Got my bloods done.. pressured into taking a line, agreed to phone Friday if I haven't heard back about physio.. she said I shouldn't be working in pain this early without physio input.. so to do my nights and see how I get on but she wasn't happy.
Said she would make sure my line was pregnancy related as it's pelvic pain and did urgent bloods 🤞🏻

Emotional wreck 😅

Sjw30 · 23/01/2023 16:33

I know we discussed this a while ago but what are everyone’s thoughts on announcing their pregnancies now we’re approaching 12 weeks? I’m still on the fence, may wait till 20 week scan if we do announce anything. I’m still very cautious after ttc for 2.5 years, however partner is keen and the closer I get to my 12 week scan the more I want to shout about it! Has anyone done it already? ☺️

sally16 · 23/01/2023 16:40

@Sjw30 I'm gonna do it after my scan 😅 ordering a wee announcement thing tonight 😂

nadsc · 23/01/2023 16:41

Congrats on all your scans - so nice seeing the pics

Sjw30 · 23/01/2023 16:42

@sally16 thats exciting! 🥰

ChloeN · 23/01/2023 16:42

@AnnieApple123 so pleased to see your update amazing news ☺️☺️

@Sjw30 I wasn’t going to at all for this pregnancy but then I thought I’ve waited a long time for this and I really want to enjoy it so I did it! And plus you don’t have to tell everyone then🤣

Sjw30 · 23/01/2023 16:44

@ChloeN thats been where my head has been at the past few days!

@sally16 hope you get sorted and everything’s okay with your bloods.

ChloeN · 23/01/2023 16:49

@Sjw30 i literally decided on the day and did it, I don’t regret it all! The only thing that I felt slightly bad about is how sad I found other people’s pregnancy announcements sometimes

sally16 · 23/01/2023 16:51

@ChloeN I'm thinking it was harder seeing peoples faces that were ttc when I told them last time or they seen my obviously baby belly.. didn't give them a chance to process really.. opposed to the ones who seen on fb seemed genuinely happy for me when they seen me next!

Sjw30 · 23/01/2023 16:52

@ChloeN Yes completely get you. It’s a difficult one Glad you did it and didn’t regret it ☺️ xx

BMK · 23/01/2023 16:57

Congratulations on the positive scan news!!! Fantastic to get good news all. However can someone explain whether the due date is more likely on measurement or time it takes to grow a baby(38 weeks I thought..)?? This bit is really confusing!
Also Sally I don't know how you are going to work at all feeling like that. Why are you going to work??? Surely you need to rest and also can anyone mind your son for a fewhours each day for you until you're a bit better?
I genuinely think women do far too much juggling everything and trying to do all their normal household things and work and mind children, but it's really not physically possible to stretch so far without impacting some of your health in doing so. I'm guilty of this particularly in 1st preg and even this one,but why don't we mind ourselves better/put ourselves first when we need to..

Create comet I had that sickness and debilitating no energy and needing to sleep and only fit to lie in bed, for 2 weeks straight but it was weeks 7and 8 and it then came back at week 11 and 12 but less intense(was able to function with it). I think it has now started heading away hopefully never to come back.. I have noticed that it does seem to improve the day after I take B vitamins. Bloating is a different problem though!! I also told close family at Christmas due to sickness and told 1person recently who will tell everyone else to save me doing it as I don't like the fuss. I really want a girl so am v jealous of your result BC!!!am terrified it will be boy no3!(don't take this the wrong way but I have wanted a girl since no1)

CityKity · 23/01/2023 17:14

@AnnieApple123 @BusyBushBaby more lovely scans!!! Congratulations ladies, I’m so glad babies are looking great, what an amazing start to the week!

@Sjw30 DH wants to visit family the day after our scan to tell everyone. I’m a bit more reserved - if it was up to me I’d wait till 20 weeks, but I think once we tell family, we’ll start trickling out the news. I mean at this point every gym instructor at my gym knows even though my parents don’t 😅
I recently found out a friends wife was pregnant when she was 6 months in (they live abroad and they also told family at 6 months!) and honestly it’s nice not waiting around forever for the actually baby to show up!

Sjw30 · 23/01/2023 17:18

@CityKity it’s such an individual thing isn’t it. I’ve had family that haven’t announced it at all until baby arrived!

BusyBushBaby · 23/01/2023 17:26

We are going to hold off on announcing a bit longer, definitely until we get the nuchal screening results back and maybe until after the 20 week scan. In this cold weather it's not too difficult to hide a bump under winter clothes.

AnnieApple123 · 23/01/2023 17:52

Was wondering how you got on @sally16. When will you likely get blood test results? Must be so hard with DS to look after as well. I struggle even feeling relatively well.

@Sjw30 I’m not going to make any sort of blanket announcement. I’ll just be telling people individually as and when.

Narwhal88 · 23/01/2023 18:10

I will be announcing on social media at some point, not sure exactly when yet. My reason is to spread awareness of infertility and IVF. I want people to know it wasn't easy and for anyone else struggling to know they are not alone.
Some of my close friends already know and our parents know. I will tell other friends and family in person after our 12 week scan. Which is likely to be a 14 week scan at this rate! Still don't even have a booking appointment and I'm 11 weeks Thursday. I chased them twice last week and someone Friday afternoon said they would try and sort it out as the referral hadn't been passed to them (I think they missed it). Going to chase again tomorrow when I'm working from home.

Firsttimemomma1 · 23/01/2023 18:18

@BoodifulGoose @AnnieApple123 @BusyBushBaby I am thrilled for you all!!! Beautiful scans and so glad all went well. Huge sigh of relief for you all.

@AnnieApple123 i can’t believe how detailed your scan is, it actually made me cry (fucking hormones haha). Little beans brain is incredible. Wow.

Two weeks tomorrow until my 12 week scan when I should be 12+4. Wishing every day away and hoping time flies. Been very quiet on here at the moment as struggling with “what if” thoughts but wanted to share my happiness of your scans witb you!!
