Hello ladies
I'm 44 and had 4 previous miscarriages..... Found out last wk I'm pregnant and incredibly anxious after so many losses and my age. Lack of symptoms aren't helping besides the stretching twinges.

Is anyone joining me in this journey?

Hi @Furbabymum15 im also due in September after 2 losses last year. So sorry to hear about your losses.

I was exactly the same a week ago feeling like I had no symptoms but as soon as I approached 6 weeks the sickness appeared!

Have you got any reassurance scans booked?

Hi @Furbabymum15 congratulations on your pregnancy, I'm also due September on the 13th. Anxiety after miscarriages is unreal I'm hoping I can calm down at some point soon to enjoy this pregnancy as it will be my last as already have two whirlwinds. X

@NP2705 hello thanks for replying x

Sorry to hear about your losses they are so tough mentally and physically!

I've never wanted to feel sick more in my whole life than right now though I'm only 5+3.

Because of my history I have an early scan at the recurrent miscarriage clinic on 20th Jan so I'm praying.

How about you will you have an early scan? Xx

Hi all,

Found out today I am pregnant after a single miscarriage last summer (at 5 weeks) and after trying over 2.5 years.
I'm due 22 September.

I'm about to turn 40 (so ineligible for fertility treatment), and this will be our first baby.
I was due AF tomorrow but had none of the usually PMS symptoms so did a test on a whim (I'm not usually one to test early, last time I was a week overdue when I tested and miscarried within 3 days).

Can completely empathise as I feel nothing but anxiety right now after the only other positive in all this time ending in miscarriage.

Congratulations @pinkpirlie and @Mammma91

@Furbabymum15 we have a private scan booked for 21st Jan when I’ll be just over 8 weeks. It’s with the same doctor and at the same clinic as when we found out about my missed miscarriage last time so I really hope it’s better news this time!

Hi everyone, I'm 6+5 and due early Sept after I had a MMC Christmas 2021. I haven't had bad symptoms, just a bit of nausea, but I hardly had any symptoms last time, so even though mild I'm taking some symptoms as positive.

@Furbabymum15 I don't know DPO as I don't track ovulation (far too stressful). But I'm CD 27 today. And I usually have 27/28 day cycles.
I used FMU and it was an FRER test.

Not sure if it will help but I'm adding a photo from when I miscarried in the summer. I was 6 days overdue when I first tested and the line was paler than today's and even paler the next day. I started bleeding 30/7 after a completely negative test on 29/7.

You spend all this time being anxious about conceiving and then once it happens you're even more anxious about the bean sticking.
I feel so sick and I think it's anxiety rather than pregnancy related. You're in my thoughts x

Hi! Can I join?
i had a blighted ovum miscarriage 4 years ago… just started trying in October and now 5w +3.
i am an incredibly anxious person anyway but my god this is stressful. Since doing a pregnancy test I have had a cold/blocked up nose, metallic taste in mouth, vivid dreams and boobs slightly sore(although they seem to be disappearing in the last couple days)
i got 3+ on clear blue digital at 5w exactly but so stressed!

Hi all, I had my first ever BFP after my first round of IVF in September last year. Unfortunately I miscarried at 6 weeks and it was so so painful emotionally. I had my frozen embryo transfer last month and got my BFP a couple of weeks ago. I'm 5+5 today and the anxiety is through the roof so completely understand how you all feel. I'm having an early reassurance scan at the IVF clinic on the 24th, so everything crossed it'll all be ok. Wishing you all good luck X

Congratulations to all who have recently found out they are pregnant! 🌈

Unfortunately I started bleeding heavily today with lots of cramps at 4+6 days and EPU have said they suspect a miscarriage and to test again in 2 weeks and monitor the bleeding. I believe I’m having another misscarrige so in order to protect my mental well-being I’m going to unfollow this thread for now. I wish you all the very best of luck & the happiest and healthiest pregnancies 🤞💙

Hi all. Hope you don't mind me jumping on.

So I am currently 9weeks pregnant, due mid August.
I suffered a MMC in September last year, found out at 12weeks scan baby didn't develop past 8weeks.
During that pregnancy I had strong symtoms. Exhaustion, nausea, food aversion, mood swings.

Throughout this pregnancy I've barely had symtoms.
There have been waves of nausea and slightly tired.
But overall I've felt pretty normal.
Every night I'm up for a wee but had a few nights where I've not got up recently.
I've booked an early scan for Monday.
But I'm literally sick with worry, I am convinced something doesn't feel right and I don't feel pregnant.

Sometimes it's just nice to speak with others in similar situation, so we all have someone that understands.

I wish you all the best of luck with your pregnancies 🤞

Well I told myself I wasn't going to post on any forums yet this time but here I am 🙈 I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow and am due mid September. I have previously had a chemical pregnancy and an early miscarriage (anembryonic/blighted ovum discovered at 7wk scan) over the past 3 years of trying. I also had an IVF cycle recently where sadly the first transfer didn't take. I was planning to do another this month but had a surprise positive test last weekend!

Last time I tested obsessively and it caused me a lot of stress about the line strength so this time I have only done the one test. I am tired and have bit of breast sensitivity which is reassuring me that things are hopefully going in the right direction.... But I did have this with my miscarriage too.

I told myself to try not to think about it too much until we have had a scan but that is so far away and it's constantly on my mind! I just don't know what to do with myself.

Congratulations @Gymgal88 and @Nora11

It’s so hard isn’t it and sad in a way. I have a friend who is about 7 months pregnant and remember how confident she was in telling people early, never seemed to have any doubt about her pregnancy. I’m a bit envious.

We have a scan booked for next weekend when I’ll be 8 weeks however the temptation is strong to move it earlier 🙈🙈

I have been struggling with sickness (had HG in first pregnancy) and despite initially being thrilled that hopefully it’s a good sign the doubts are creeping back in that it’s not a guarantee of everything being well!

If only we could hibernate and sleep until the 12 week scan!

Let us know how your scan goes on Monday @Gymgal88 - really hope you see a healthy baby 🤞🏻

Thank you@NP2705 The wait is definitely an absolute killer.

I have absolutely convinced myself something is wrong and now it won't shift.

The last pregnancy I had no idea and it really took me by surprise so maybe this time round it's my way of protecting myself.

I do know that I don't feel the same but let's see how Monday goes, I will be sure to update you all.

I hope your wait goes quickly

hi!
I’ve recently had 3 positive tests at home. Would currently
make me 4w6d
I have a history of ectopic and loss of my left tube. Called the EPU this am, they scanned me and couldn’t see anything as expected with it being so early and the hospital test came up negative:( has this ever happened anyone? I’m so confused. I’m awaiting my blood results this evening to confirm my hormone count. I’m experiencing light spotting today also! :( terrifying

Congratulations all

I had 3 missed miscarriages in my 40s and went on to have DD (now aged 12) at the grand old age of 45. I was robbed of the joy of pregnancy and felt very anxious for almost the entirety of my pregnancy but I wanted to share a good outcome of a mid 40s pregnancy after multiple losses. I had 3 friends also in their 40s who all had successful pregnancies.

I had to take 1/2 aspirin daily as I had a clotting issue but was otherwise v healthy - low blood pressure etc. I tried hypnotherapy which was helpful but other than that I just very much lived each day as it came and thought to myself “Today I am pregnant.”

Good luck all

Hello all. I’m tentatively joining you since I got my BFP this morning. EDD of September 23rd 2023

I had a mmc at 10 weeks in November. And I had a (12 week) mc in 2018 with one healthy pregnancy in between. Fingers crossed this little one will stick around and keeping growing healthy and strong. I’m so nervous and feel like the only way to cope is to live in denial and act like I’m not pregnant in case it all goes wrong again.😔 I don’t want to get my hopes up and then be devastated again. But I know I have no control over how things will turn out. Has anyone been advised about taking aspirin? I’ve read on other threads about people taking it after they’ve had multiple mc but I don’t know when they recommend to start taking it. Congratulations to all of the other bfps. Lots of September rainbow babies 🌈🤗

@CaliGirl47 I think I remember you from a previous June 2023 thread (sorry if i'm mistaken). Sorry to hear you miscarried at 10 weeks. that must have been awful. I too miscarried at 6 weeks (was meant to be due in June 23). I will be 6 weeks tomorrow. Here's wishing for our rainbows X
