Me @MrsP4! 🙋🏻‍♀️ Bloating is insane today - I easily look 5 months pregnant... 🙈 Plus I've had mild nausea for most of the afternoon. 😪

Welcome @australianish, @peonyjam and @EvelynSalt! 🥳

Your dates are similar to mine @australianish (I'm 7+5 today and due 7th June) and your symptoms also sound like mine, too.

@peonyjam, sorry to hear you've had a worrisome time! 6 weeks can be early for a heartbeat so don't fret too much about that.

@firsttimelondonmummy, most people don't get symptoms until the 6th week of pregnancy. With my first, I could count on my hand how many times I felt nauseous the entire 9 months. I also didn't have tender boobs or cravings or aversions. Some people have Lowe levels of hCG naturally or their bodies cope with it better (so I was told at the time) and there really isn't anything to worry about!!

BobbySD345 · 24/10/2022 17:13

Hi all ! I've just been reading everyone's comments up to now but thought I'd jump on and say hi. Hope everyone is feeling OK. I'm a bit unsure as although we had a healthy little boy in November 2019, I have had some problems in the past. Symptom watching like a crazy woman and spending far too much on the digital weeks clearblues to check hcg is rising. Hoping to get a scan at the early pregnancy unit at 7 weeks. 5+5 today 🤞🏻

shabbadababa · 24/10/2022 17:38

@auaustralianish omg due date twins!! I'm due 9th June too except my app says in 7 weeks 3 days but due on the 9th

shabbadababa · 24/10/2022 17:41

@Quokka7 due date twin I'm 7+3 due 9th June too😌

firsttimelondonmummy · 24/10/2022 17:44

@BobbySD345 we are due date twins (all being well 🤞🏻) I am 5+5 😁
I only got my 3+ on CB Sunday morning after getting a 2-3 Friday.
Decided not to test again now after advice on here that I’d spend a fortune and drive myself crazy!

@MrsP4 If it helps (of course, only in the sense that you know you’re not alone!), when I got dressed this morning I could do the zip on my skirt up to the top, but since mid-morning it’s been halfway down to accommodate my bloated belly!

@Quokka7 and @shabbadababa - so lovely to have some due date twins!

Is anyone else compiling a photo album or scrapbook for their baby? I’m using one from ‘Write To Me’ which says ‘Bump’ on the front, and am really enjoying recording the experience/not sharing every single symptom with my husband!

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 24/10/2022 19:25

Been taking it easy today. Cleaning the house a bit and relaxing. Toothache keeps coming and going. Still struggling to sleep at night, keep waking up multiple times. Will be 7 week+3 today. Next scan 7/11 and booking app 9/11. Not yet received any confirmation of my 12 week scan but may probably have another before then as I think they are wanting to scan me every 2 weeks atm. The aspirin I have to take with water and it's so disgusting 😐

BobbySD345 · 24/10/2022 19:47

I did wonder !! @firsttimelondonmummy I only found out Friday. I'd felt a bit sickly for a few days and was late but tried to hold off as long as I could before testing. I've now got 4 digital weeks tests coming tomorrow from Amazon...haha ! I rang the GP today but they didn't seem interested and haven't referred me to the midwife. I suppose I need to ring them myself but I have heard they see you more like 10-11 weeks now compared to the 8 weeks like it used to be?

HalWin2221 · 24/10/2022 20:09

Has anyone done or thinking of doing one of the early gender blood tests? 😊

BobbySD345 · 24/10/2022 20:47

I will find out the gender but not early as we made that mistake last time and they got it wrong !!

HalWin2221 · 24/10/2022 20:50

@BobbySD345 was that using the blood test that they got it wrong? 🫣

BobbySD345 · 24/10/2022 21:01

@HalWin2221 no, sorry it wasn't it was a gender scan at 15 weeks !

Klb18 · 24/10/2022 21:01

Hey everyone,
I haven’t posted here yet but I am 8+3 due date 2nd June.
I am really struggling with anxiety at the minute I’m 35 and this is my first. I had an ectopic 2 years ago which was so traumatic that now I feel like I am worrying my pregnancy away rather than enjoying it.
I am trying to be positive and hoping that everything is ok, I have had a couple of internal scans due to previous history and last Wednesday I saw my baby’s heartbeat for the first time which was unbelievably overwhelming.
Hoping to get through this pregnancy with some words or wisdom from you lovely ladies, even just reading these comments helps you feel normal and that there are others out there feeling just like me…
😃❤️🌈👶🏻

MrsP4 · 24/10/2022 21:09

Quokka7 · 24/10/2022 14:52

@MrsP4 I'm also feeling super sick today. No actual vomiting but just exhausting, all consuming nausea! My lower back is also ACHING! I had a half day at work today so am now enjoying lying on the couch! Unfortunately DH has just got home and grabbed the remote so I'm having to sit through a recording of match of the day! 😫

@australianish welcome! We're due date twins! Mine is also 9th June but Im 7+3. Lovely that you've had a reassuring scan already!

Oh bless you I Rennes with my little girl as soon as I reached 12 weeks al symptoms vanished it was great! The second trimester is the best you have energy you not too big so yeah hate wishing time away but had enough of being so tired an bloated now and feeling sick, I can't even look at a piece of chocolate since I found out 🤢

MrsP4 · 24/10/2022 21:10

@firsttimelondonmummy
No don't be alarmed I'm 8 + 2 and I only felt sick today for the first time only symptom I've had otherwise is sore boobs the bloating started about 5 days ago too!

MrsP4 · 24/10/2022 21:13

@B1993 We're the same haha did I see bell that your sneek peak came back boy 💙 ? X

MrsP4 · 24/10/2022 21:14

@australianish Haha that made me laugh because that was me yesterday I couldn't do my button up on my jeans! I don't remember being this bloated first time around with my daughter but it was like 4 years ago I've been to bed since then 🤣

Okapi99 · 24/10/2022 22:24

Feeling sick today. I work nights as a Hca and I think the strange sleeping pattern is upsetting me with taking meds and sleeping during the day. 😞

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 24/10/2022 22:35

@Okapi99 I feel you, I have a similar shift pattern and it's brutal. I've stopped doing nights recently but sleeping during day can be hard especially getting my body clock back in time. I have evening nausea so if I'm on a late it starts at work 😣

Okapi99 · 24/10/2022 22:41

I only work 2 nights a week, but i have had hyperemesis with my other babies so I'm paranoid about the sickness getting bad. I've been on cyclazine for a good few weeks and it seemed to be working great, until these last two shifts 😢 sorry your suffering too

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 25/10/2022 05:01

@Okapi99 I hope the cyclazine works again for you and yo feel better x

Barely slept again. That's 4 nights in a row now I haven't had a full sleep. So tired. Hoping work today knocks me out for a good sleep tonight.

B1993 · 25/10/2022 07:50

@MrsP4 Yes! Sneak Peek said team blue again for us so my gut was right! 💙

For anyone considering doing it too, I wouldn’t use sneak peek again - there’s too many opportunities to contaminate the results as it’s such a fiddly and frustrating process. I’ve said before, I’m sure mine ended up contaminated so by that point it’s just 50/50 to whether or not it’s actually right. I definitely should have taken more heed to what people say online as it’s definitely not as accurate as it’s claimed (at least if you’re using the home hit, like I did). With my first I had an early gender scan and that was right so I’d say it’s best to go down that route or NIPT if wanting to find out early.

The bloatinggg!!! 😓 @australianish, @MrsP4 I honestly don’t know how I’m going to conceal my belly anymore! 😳 I wish it was just the afternoon but feel like it’s constant from the minute I wake up and grows even more through the day!? As you said MrsP, I cannot remember it being as bad with my first (also 4 years ago).

Síomha · 25/10/2022 08:26

@Klb18 it can be such an anxious time but you but if you’ve heard their heartbeat the odds of things going okay shoots right up.
I was very anxious with my second but seem to be incredibly chilled about things this time around - which is bizarre, as I’m such an anxious person 🙈 I’m almost 35 too!

@firsttimelondonmummy, I’ve no noticeable symptoms at the minute either and 5+5 too, going to the loo a bit more than usual is the only one really that’s persisted really. And I’m shattered but I’m trying to wean a boob mad 2 year old which might be contributing 😅

Nothing tends to start until week 7 for me!

Tor88 · 25/10/2022 09:36

@Klb18 welcome:)

This would be my first too, I'm 34, have had had 2 MCs, have severe endometriosis, fibroids and a uterine polyp. I'm 7+6 and I think this pregnancy is the hardest thing I've ever had to do... The anxiety is overwhelming, I just feel in a daze really just praying and praying this one works out. I really don't feel like I can cope with another miscarriage, I just want my baby. 12 weeks still feels like a long time away!!

No advice really just to say I know how you feel and it's really tough. I think the only way is through it, day by day... 🙏🧡
