When my period was due I had cramping and slight nausea but that was over a week ago and now nothing- like you say just got to trust all is okay @firsttimelondonmummy 🤞🏻

Hopeful1992 · 22/10/2022 17:47

Hi All, hoping I can join. I did a test today at 9dpo and it was very clearly positive on an FRER and two cheapies, going to keep testing and pray it keeps getting darker!
tried to work out my rough due date and because I’ve got PCOS and long cycles I don’t know exactly how it’s worked out as there was 4 weeks between my period and ovulation?

Síomha · 22/10/2022 17:47

@natkasz, I am!
I’ll be 35 in a month and this was very much a surprise (so were the others tbh but this one really threw us) so I think it will help ease the anxiety a little bit, one less thing to worry about.
I have a scan booked for 9 weeks all going well, and will book the NIPT for 10 weeks. My husband is 10 years older so it seems right this time around.

I was only going on 21 with my first, and regretted not doing it when expecting DD2, I was 32 then.

Síomha · 22/10/2022 17:51

*hopefully one less thing to worry about…I suppose that’s the one issue with them, if it returns a worrying but potentially inaccurate result. Minefield really! But fingers crossed.

Síomha · 22/10/2022 17:56

@Mayfield87 I’m 5+3 too and have no real symptoms aside from some on/off cramping and going to the loo more than usual (same as when expecting my girls). I’m enjoying it while I can!

firsttimelondonmummy · 22/10/2022 18:00

@Síomha I did forget the constant toilet trips I’ve been having. Must be going 10/15 times a day when I went 4/5 times before 😭

OP posts:
firsttimelondonmummy · 22/10/2022 18:02

@Mayfield87 I’m only getting very minor cramping now. Other than needing the loo a lot I would not know anything was off. Boobs swelling and cramps are normal for me.

Cleome · 22/10/2022 19:20

Hello all, please can I join? Tested positive last week with our second. Took much longer and quite a few chemicals to conceive baby 2! Starting to feel optimistic now though. I had bad sickness/ borderline HG last time so I'm anxious about that starting in the next few weeks

B1993 · 22/10/2022 19:35

@Mayfield87, I had little to no symptoms with my first other than fatigue. No neasea, no sore boobs, no aversions or cravings and he's a now happy and healthy 3 year old. I know it's easier said than done, but you probably have nothing at all to worry about so try to relax!!

Welcome new joiners!! 🥳🥳💖

@Hopeful1992, it's great that you know when you ovulated. That is counted as day 14 of pregancy so two weeks before that would be your corrected CD1 and 2 weeks after ovulation is 4 weeks pregnant. Hopefully that makes sense and you'll be able to adjust your dates. If not, the pampers website has a due date calculator on there which can calculate from conception date rather than LMP, so that would also give you a more accurate date.

firsttimelondonmummy · 22/10/2022 19:50

@Cleome everyone is welcome and congratulations!
only tested positive myself on the 12th 😊

Savanna1990 · 22/10/2022 19:55

Sorry to hear of your loss too @B1993

Only symptoms I’ve had so far are period type cramps and sore boobs. I had horrible sickness with my last girl so will be interesting to see if I get that again.

Hopeful1992 · 22/10/2022 20:38

Thank you so much @B1993 thats so helpful. As you can tell it will be my first and I’ve now got 100000 questions spinning round my head haha

SunshineSophia · 22/10/2022 20:46

Hello, I found out yesterday that I'm expecting number 2! Was a bit of a surprise but I'm so happy and excited. Lovely to meet you all ☺️

DrinkingAllTheGin · 22/10/2022 21:01

Hi ladies.
@BellaTheDarkOverlord glad your news is positive.
Congratulations to all the newcomers.

6+6 today and first time actually being sick. I'm hoping it won't be the same triggers as it was my morning coffee!

Still getting lower back cramps. Really hoping they stop soon!

firsttimelondonmummy · 22/10/2022 21:01

Congrats @SunshineSophia ! How far along are you? 😊

firsttimelondonmummy · 22/10/2022 21:03

@DrinkingAllTheGin it’s my first time being pregnant (I’m 5+3) thought I’d got away with sickness and then realised most people get it 6-7 weeks) 😭
been getting lower tummy cramps and need a wee every 30 minutes in the eve 🤦🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
DrinkingAllTheGin · 22/10/2022 21:21

Yeah, mine seems to have started as DH has gone off for another weeks work!
Heart burn as well.

Is it late enough to go to bed yet?

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 22/10/2022 21:52

I've started with evening nausea. Just on way home from PILS and wouldn't let DH bring his leftover takeaway pizza in car as I was gagging too much at the smell! Feel rough now. Had to tell PILs we can't go camping next July with them as EPAU said it'll likely be casesarean and I'll be recovering.

Tinkerbell098 · 23/10/2022 08:23

@B1993 yes it was me worried about 1-2 on CB. I’m ivf so dates are fairly accurate. Thinking of ringing up the clinic tomorrow to see if I can push the scan forward but also worried it maybe too early to see anything (if there’s anything at all). I think I need a miracle at this point.

go team blue! 💙

Charlotte98764 · 23/10/2022 08:30

Hi all, I am currently due to receive a promotion but myself and my partner have also been TTC the last couple of months, due to the promotion part of me thinks maybe I should put my plans on hold but the other part of me thinks it could take a long time and I am 30. What’s everyone’s thoughts?

TrulyMiss · 23/10/2022 08:38

Any thoughts on whether it'd be better to get a private scan at 6 or 7 weeks? I waited until 7 with my son but I had a chemical last month so I'm way more anxious this time around. Currently only 4+2 and have lots of symptoms (nausea, tiredness, bloating etc) so I have no real reason to be but can't shake it...

firsttimelondonmummy · 23/10/2022 10:03

@Charlotte98764 you aren’t legally obliged to tell them till nearly 5 months.
Take the promotion and then tell them.
They can’t demote you for being pregnant and you clearly want this if you’ve been TTC 💖
We weren’t TTC and I am also in line for a promotion and we are just keeping quiet until we hopefully get to that point.
Telling them at that point will also be a point you hopefully feel reassured by scans/ tests!

Hello all, currently 4+6 - this is my first pregnancy and feeling equal parts excited and anxious. Sore boobs have definitely kicked in... ouch!!

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 23/10/2022 10:43

Congrats to all new BFPs x

7 weeks+2 today. Taking paracetamol for my earache. Trying to relax a bit more as anxious of miscarriage. I'm at highest risk now apparently thanks to my weird uterus. Haven't been able to sleep last two nights. Hope that gets better.

Tor88 · 23/10/2022 10:46

@firsttimelondonmummy thanks for setting this up. Just posting so I can follow along.

7+4 today, nausea has been fairly constant but actually seems a bit less today (so far), and no actual being sick or food aversions (although I do just want carbs all the time lol)
