@makingabebe sorry you’ve been poorly and in hospital, sounds rough, I hope you feel better soon! shakes fist at covid

I’ve been so unbelievably tired today. Like can’t get out of bed level tired. I feel like there’s something wrong with me but I did have bloods done yesterday (had to go in with dehydration for iv fluids again) and they were fine, so I guess it’s just this stage of pregnancy is exhausting!

@Tacoboutit not a fraud at all- youre part of the august team now, august or not 😆

Tacoboutit · 22/06/2022 21:36

@ToCaden possibly! I hope baby stays there til 28th July, first baby so don’t know what to expect. As you say though, a few babies will likely be born next month, it’s so exciting and scary in equal measures! Haha I’m the same, I’m the only one in my family praying for a cold summer. I’d take a lovely September though :) Currently lying in bed with the fan on waiting on Love Island on +1 (if I can stay awake).

@squatternutbosh12 thank you! I’ll not be going anywhere #TeamAugust sorry you’re so exhausted. Glad your tests were all ok. Yes I’d say a combination of third trimester and the muggy warm weather. I’m trying to sort out upstairs (clothes for charity shop, throwing out all the cr4p accumulated in drawers etc) and I just have to do 30-45mins per evening as I’m so wrecked. More my body is wrecked than my mentality. But we’ll get there, slowly but surely.

Isonthecase · 22/06/2022 22:30

Oh @Tacoboutit you fraud 😂😂 quite jealous, I'd love to get the little one out before the hot weather really kicks in!

Talking of babies, @Delight12 how are you and your baby getting on?

I've totally lost track of the due dates, is it time for an updated list?

Delight12 · 23/06/2022 07:39

@Isonthecase we are both doing really well, baby was moved closer to home last week so I'm home with my other child now and just traveling to the hospital everyday to see her. All her tubes have been removed apart from her feeding tube but we did have progress with the bottle yesterday 😊she is 33 days old and has put on 1lb 7oz since birth.

Isonthecase · 23/06/2022 07:57

@Delight12 so glad to hear that, lovely news 🥳😀 hopefully you'll have her home with you soon 🙂

squatternutbosh12 · 23/06/2022 08:09

@Delight12 that’s really lovely news, must have been such a stressful time for you all but can imagine being moved closer to home feels like a big step. Congrats on baby’s good progress! X

Delight12 · 23/06/2022 08:18

@squatternutbosh12 it's been a rollercoaster lol but I can see light at the end of the tunnel, not long now and I will have my baby at home with me.

ToCaden · 23/06/2022 08:29

@Delight12 glad to hear she's doing well. Hoping she's home with you soon.

Cakecakecheese · 23/06/2022 08:33

@Delight12 that's great that she's doing so well, hopefully she'll be home with you soon.

Beth262 · 23/06/2022 13:27

@Delight12 so lovely to have an update from you and so pleased to hear that she is doing so well 💕

Mufflette · 23/06/2022 14:38

Exciting @Tacoboutit - I'm sure we'll end up with a whole range taking us right into September babies!

So pleased to hear you're at least closer to home now @Delight12 just that last step to go and it sounds like she's well on her way!

I was overambitious thinking I was going to get a day without any medical stuff today, drove round the corner on the way to my one day in the office and a neighbour reversed off their drive right into me. So I got my second trip to hospital within 24 hours to get me & baby checked out! Luckily I got in before the rush of the day so I was seen straight away and all is fine, I feel very lucky with how responsive and lovely my hospital is. But was definitely in shock for a while and now waiting to see if my car can recover, fingers crossed!

Beth262 · 23/06/2022 14:46

Oh gosh @Mufflette that must have been frightening. I'm so glad to hear that they were super quick in checking you out though and that both baby and you are ok. Take it easy x

Mufflette · 24/06/2022 09:51

Thanks @Beth262 yes quite a shock at the time, the midwife took one look at my first blood pressure reading and decided to try again in half an hour 😁

Mufflette · 24/06/2022 09:52

I really wish there was an edit button....

... but all feeling fine now and looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

Hope all is still well for you, seems like baby's doing a very good job at staying put!

squatternutbosh12 · 24/06/2022 14:48

I’ve gone and got conjunctivitis from somewhere?! And yet another cold. Anyone else catching absolutely everything? Stupid compromised pregnant immune system!

@Mufflette so glad you and baby are ok! That must have been a shock and I hope you’re making up for it with a very chilled weekend!

CoalCraft · 24/06/2022 15:44

@squatternutbosh12 Yup, catching all of Dad's nursery colds, and I'll spare you all the details of what I've contracted on my feet...

CoalCraft · 24/06/2022 15:48

Er, that should be DD, not dad!

madeleine85 · 24/06/2022 17:11

@squatternutbosh12 I hate the reduced immunity of pregnancy. The last time I caught a horrible skin rash called pityriasis rosea which looked like chickenpox and was itchy like it too. Couldn't take a damn thing, and it lasted months. We got married at that time too and I remember offering my DH to sit in the hot tub at our hotel on our wedding night and he looked at me like I had 15 heads and politely declined :). I'm so glad to not have that one again that I'll take every one of DD's daycare plagues without much complaint! To everyone who says pregnancy is wonderful and a dream... I don't think i'm quite there haha.

Beth262 · 24/06/2022 18:24

@Mufflette I'm surprised it was even a good reading after half hour! Glad to hear your planning on a relaxing weekend ahead. I'm doing ok thanks. Aside from a brief trip to triage this morning with a rusty colour fluid suggesting infection (thankfully turned out not), baby seems to have well and truly changed his mind about making a bid for freedom. Famous last words though!

@squatternutbosh12 I've managed to avoid pretty much every sniffle DS has brought home from crèche until a few weeks ago. Now it just feels he's ill, I'm ill. Bleugh!

@CoalCraft what on earth has happened to your feet?!

OP posts:
PopGoesBang · 24/06/2022 19:09

@CoalCraft I'm with @Beth262 you can't mention the feet and not follow it up! Distract me from how uncomfortable I'm feeling this evening...

Chunks1376 · 25/06/2022 16:47

digging out all the stuff from baby number 1 quite a while ago!

Just debating what to do about the car seat. It’s a maxi cosi pebble and out of its ‘lifespan’ by a month. Not sure if I have the guts to use it but don’t really want to be buying a new one. Anyone using the same car seats as first baby?

CoalCraft · 25/06/2022 17:18

@PopGoesBang @Beth262 It's nothing top dramatic, just a bit of athlete's foot! As soon as one patch clears up another appears 🤦

@Chunks1376 we are - If step mum can find where she put it 🤦‍♀️ If not we'll have to take the hit on a new one and would really want an isofix one again.

@CoalCraft ahh you have my sympathy! Even if you wanted to scratch it I imagine your bump is in the way 😆

Anyone have any idea what the deleted message was about?

Who else was having very fast heart rates at rest?

A consultant just checked ferritin levels and they were low low. My haemoglobin was normal rates though. As a result was prescribed iron tablets and now my HR has dropped by 20bpm to a more sustainable level. I don't know why I wasn't tested before as been going on since week 10 and been in hospital a few times!

If you have a fast heart rate get your ferritin levels checked. X
