@squatternutbosh12 aww bless you. I am the opposite! I am constantly hungry so I keep eating (sometimes on autopilot) and then I feel sick or I lose all my energy to digesting it all! And I know not to eat raw food after cooked as it doesn’t digest well, but I’m knowingly doing that and it’s making me so gassy and my farts smell sooo bad!
On a positive, I want to share with you all something i’ve been working on... I live on a hilltop farm surrounded by semi ancient woodland, which is so beautiful and abundant with birds and nature. It’s my dream place for my little one to grow up. So many trees to climb! However the priorities the past few years have been on other things so the once lovely grassy areas are now covered in brambles and bracken.
The past week I’ve made it my mission to create a safe and beautiful garden for my baby to safely crawl around in and enjoy. I’ve been slashing the brambles down, pulling up roots and mixing up big barrels of compost to spread around. There are quite a few red ants around, so i’ve now learned that is because the soil is too sandy and it lacks earthy minerals. I’m creating the antidote of lots of compost to spread around, to allow the soil to find balance, which should allow the red ants to move somewhere else.
All of this I am doing for my now kicking little baby. The whole time I am working I am thinking of what our life will be like together and imagining play time and cuddles on luscious, soft earth in our cosy garden. Once a bit more clearing is done i’ll plant some colourful flowers and shrubs to make it into a sensory garden.
I have been reading a lot of comments about feeling anxious and stressed about various things, and I’ve been thinking of you all as I create this garden, sending love and peace of mind to you all. I find when I am playing with the plants and earth, my mind is put to ease (mostly!) - sometimes temporarily. I feel gardening is powerful medicine for our souls and dreaming in the future.
So please take from that whatever you wish. I hope it helps
