@Carebear99 congrats on the scan and the lovely back photo haha

@PinkorWhiteMarshmallow welcome and congrats on your little boy! It looks like we’re due date buddies!

@Chlox16 constantly hungry. It's relentless

@nicc1000 good luck today! I’ll be thinking of you Flowers

@Em85kk I know how you feel but I'm sure it'll be fine. I've got the miscarriage calculator website saved on my open tabs and now the risk is less than 1% which I keep trying to remind myself. Good luck with your scan

Chlox16 · 24/03/2022 11:02

Thinking of you today @nicc1000 hope all goes well x Flowers

Billymay · 24/03/2022 13:45

Had a few days off as I’ve been manic and I see a thread and already 5 pages. Just been reading through and sending love to @nicc1000 xx
I’m waiting for my results from the 12 weeks test… it’s been a week today and starting to get a bit anxious about it. Xx

madeleine85 · 24/03/2022 14:27

@Billymay same! I’m feeling guilty as my 2 year olds daycare is mandating a 2 hour family day today. We’re really struggling as it’s crunch time at my end with a huge marcg deadline and my husband has a million things on at work. He’s in the office till midnight every night after our kid goes down. The daycare wants printed pictures, collage making etc. We don’t have snitching for it, and they just sent an email telling us to come at 3, when before it was 3-5. I’ve not had time to eat or sleep. They also keep taking impromptu days off that are more politically correct but don’t align with work public holidays, we have another one Monday, so I’m just so frustrated. Gahhhh. Why am I doing this again?! Both feeling like a crappy parent, and frustrated, as I wouldn’t be paying for daycare if I had all the flexibility with work in the world!

madeleine85 · 24/03/2022 14:27

Also @nicc1000 hope you’re ok ❤️

Thanks for the welcome and reassurance that covid in pregnancy isn't too worrying! I'll shift my worry focus onto the next thing 🙈

I'd love to join the Facebook group please - how do I do so?

Good luck to all with scans/test results coming. It's a nerve wracking time!

I'm counting down until I'm 14 weeks when I'm hoping my symptoms will ease a bit. Yesterday I had a huge wave of sickness, tiredness and feeling faint when picking up my daughter. I've already passed out and got concussion once this pregnancy so far, don't fancy a repeat!

Ladies who've had kids before - please tell me pregnancy gets easier?
I feel like I'm losing the battle at the minute. Tired 24/7, I've got no energy at all, could burst into tears at any point, pains here/there/everywhere. I also feel like a wreck physically- huge, struggling for clothes, my skin feel gaunt & dry.

I'm so excited for the baby to come but also to hope my body can start to get back to normal.

I feel so selfish feeling so down about this :(

PinkorWhiteMarshmallow · 24/03/2022 16:44

@surprised12 I can really relate to all those feelings. How far along are you? I do remember things really easing in the second trimester for me last time. I was able to stay up beyond 8/9pm again and felt like I had much more energy and was so appreciative of it. I think the hormones calm down a bit. And then you get a nice bump and start to feel movement, which is all really exciting!

PrettyTulip · 24/03/2022 16:56

@Billymay you've have heard by now if anything was of concern. I think they say 3 days maximum for the hospital to get in touch if they find anything other than a low risk.
I was very fortunate and had my scan on a Tuesday and the results posted to me on the Saturday morning!

When do you normally get your 20w scan through? I'm 14w and no sign of it yet! X

stimpyyouidiot · 24/03/2022 17:11

@surprised12 it does get easier, how far are you now? I'm 16+3 and things are slowly getting better

HelenHomebird · 24/03/2022 18:21

Evening ladies! Can anyone offer advice on when and how to let work know?
I'm 15 weeks on Saturday so I know legally I have a while yet to say anything and I'm just looking bloated rather than a bump. But I realise my weeks are numbered before someone will outright ask me. Appreciate any tips!

stimpyyouidiot · 24/03/2022 18:28

@HelenHomebird I went in to my managers office and just said 'I can't believe I'm saying these words!' And she said 'pregnant?!?'

stimpyyouidiot · 24/03/2022 18:29

@HelenHomebird oops pressed send too fast. She was over the moon. I guess it depends on what your relationship is with them! Are they nice?

Carebear99 · 24/03/2022 18:43

I told my boss at 7 weeks, as I was quite unwell. He laughed!!! I think it was shock laughter but still. I guess because I have a 20 year old daughter.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 24/03/2022 19:03

@HelenHomebird I just went into his office and said I need to tell you I'm pregnant. He said congratulations when can I advertise your job Hmm

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 24/03/2022 19:03

I'm still feeling dreadful. Getting worried about the baby now. My oxygen levels are fine but I feel so I'll

HelenHomebird · 24/03/2022 19:06

@stimpyyouidiot @Carebear99

I have a pretty good relationship with my manager. The workplace policies are the bear minimum they can get away with offering, and the company on the whole aren't too pro-mothers. My team isn't family focused I suppose. No children and/or not desire to have them.

I just know it'll rock the boat a bit so the nerves have kicked in.

Sleepy86 · 24/03/2022 19:08

@PinkorWhiteMarshmallow @Weddingaug2019 here's a link to the Facebook page fb.me/g/4ryRBWR9V/UzK7ukFP

Anyone else who would like to join us please clock on the link. The page is hidden, so nobody will know you are part of the group xx

Might be worth telling them to get it over with maybe.

mummysept22 · 24/03/2022 22:13

Hey mummies you be!! I just got my NT results Edwards/Pateau risk 1:10000 which is fab but Downs 1:1350. I am 35 and NT was 1.9mm. It says low risk but it seems much higher than the edwards. Is this yet another thing I should just not worry about? Xx

YouBoggleMyMind · 24/03/2022 22:13

@Whatelsecouldibecalled I've felt what I think is baby girl moving over the last couple of days. I can't see what else it could be.

I wouldn't worry, I got a result of 1/131 then did the NIPT and it was low risk so with numbers like yours I'd be more than happy!
mummysept22 · 25/03/2022 06:36

@stimpyyouidiot hey!! Thank you so much!! This is exactly what I needed to hear! Sorry you had to go through that, it must have been so stressful but amazing all was well in the end 🥳 good luck with the rest of your pregnancy. I will relax (until next time 😜) x
