@stimpyyouidiot thank you! I have to drive 45 mins from work to the doctors and then back again, will be just my luck that I am in and out of there in 5 minutes!

@amorningperson I am in Liverpool, never been to Scotland but I am dying to go! I want to take a camper van for a week and explore :) The weather is beautiful here today, I believe it is going to reach 18 degrees by mid afternoon, just a shame I am stuck in work until 5!!! :(

I feel anxious about the birth, well more so the part at home to be honest. My daughter was lay back to back with me so I only had contractions in my back and they were horrendous! Once I was 4cm I was allowed to stay on the labour ward and once I was on the gas and air it eased a lot.

TotoAnnihiliation · 22/03/2022 10:13

@Goodgoodthings I've got the pregnancy insomnia 😞 it already feels like a long time since I've had a good sleep. In my last pregnancy this remained the case until the end and I actually slept more once DD arrived.

TotoAnnihiliation · 22/03/2022 10:15

I have a big bump already, I went to a Mother's Day event at DD's nursery yesterday and two of the other mums noticed the bump and started asking about it 🤣 I had to discreetly tell them about it as we still haven't told DD that she is due to become a big sister yet.

Chlox16 · 22/03/2022 10:15

Thanks for starting the new thread Star hope everyone is doing well x

How many weeks are you? I'm 13 weeks 5 days and already have a bump 😱
Moonshine160 · 22/03/2022 11:02

Hi everyone!

Just like @handbagsandholidays I’ve also had bleeding throughout this pregnancy so far so I’ve been quiet on here, but went for our scan yesterday and all was fine! They’ve found no cause for the bleeding but nothing on the scan shows that it’s coming from the uterus.

Due date 25th September :) already keep asking people if they can see a nub but we’re keeping it a surprise.

Hope you’re all doing ok?!

@madeleine85 I feel like I’m totally going to be freaked out when I first feel a kick too! Especially if the anterior placenta muffles most of the flutters and my first indication is a big ol’ kick haha

@Goodgoodthings 18/19 is so much better than I was anticipating! That’s very good news and I hope I end up feeling around then too! It’s going to be SO weird to see the kicks from the outside though. I’ve seen videos where you can almost make out a hand pressing outwards. Does that really happen?! I mean, I know you can see shape changes, but like THAT?!

@Belle2210 I haven’t seen anyone describe it as a chubby bump before but that is exactly what I’m feeling! Going to use that term all the time now. Great news on your husband coming home! That’s so exciting! And I totally feel you on the work motivation front. For example, I should be working right now haha
I love that you compared it to the lead-up to a trip of a lifetime though! That really is how it feels!

@amorningperson I haven’t heard much about oils to be honest. But if it might have worked for you, then I might as well pick some up! What kind did you use? We can have oily butts together haha

@handbagsandholidays on vacation when it happened?! God, you poor thing. I’m so glad things are okay and hopefully it’s smooth sailing for you from here on out!

Thanks for new thread!

Celyn22 · 22/03/2022 11:16

@Goodgoodthings yes! I wake up early feeling ready for anything around 5/6, but go back to sleep often till 7/7.30 feeling pretty good still... get up have breakfast and crack on with a few days and come 9/10am I’m ready for a lie down!

Has anyone else noticed feeling instantly tired on car journeys? I think it’s my body’s way of saying to stay put and not go out too much. I just want to stay home (so much farm work to do here all the time anyway). I’m enjoying the bird song so much, and wondering if our little babies can hear them sing? Any ideas?

Sending you all lots of smiles and hugs from sunny West Wales GrinBiscuit

IzzyLeigh · 22/03/2022 11:21

@amorningperson I’m in Buffalo, New York, which is about an 8-hour drive from NYC and about a 5-minute walk from Canada. I’m originally from about 30 minutes outside of NYC, but moved up here since it’s more affordable (trying to buy a house!) and my husband is from here. It was snowing up until maybe a week or so ago, but now it’s officially spring and getting warmer—currently -1 Celsius at the moment but it’s going to get to 10 C today.
As for birth, I’m likely going to need to a have a c-section. I had a spinal fusion on my lower back when I was 18 and so I’ve got rods and screws and a cage back there. I see a spinal surgeon next month to discuss my options. Honestly, I’m okay with a section though if that’s what it needs to be.

@Moonshine160 lovely scan! Congrats! Adorable little button nose already

@SoOverThisCrap I am 14 weeks today. I was quite chubby before hand so I think this is why my bump is noticeable.

The sun is out and I've managed a walk in the park with a friend this morning. It feels amazing!

SoOverThisCrap · 22/03/2022 12:29

@TotoAnnihiliation ahh you're only a few days ahead of me! I'd love to go for a walk in the sunshine but pregnancy is playing havoc with my sinuses and headaches at the moment. I'm meant to be working from home but spending most of my time asleep 🤦‍♀️

If you need to sleep - sleep! I'm listening to what my body tells me to do. I'm in the fortunate position of being between jobs so can potter off to the park.

After 3 months of feeling like being permanently hung over, I'm enjoying having some energy. My sister is coming over tomorrow to help me tackle some outstanding housework. I know this will help my positivity and motivation.

annlee3817 · 22/03/2022 12:35

@amorningperson my husband is from SA, Pietermaritzburg, we live in the Midlands (UK)

surprised12 · 22/03/2022 13:11

Belle2210 · 22/03/2022 14:34

Just when I thought things were looking up sick, nausea and headache all back on 😭.

As this is my first baby all I'm asking for in a birth is that everyone is fine by the end of it and my bits aren't destroyed 😳.

@amorningperson I'm in Scotland too. North East in the countryside. @Tinadecember Can't believe you've never visited 😊. Saying that I'll have my first trip to Liverpool next month.

@Izzyleigh Chubby bump it is 😂. Oh wow must be great to live on the border. Never been to Canada or New York. I also should be working right now 😂.

@celyn22 I find I feel more tired when I'm driving which isn't a good thing!

mol2mum · 22/03/2022 14:38

Just jumping onSmile

stimpyyouidiot · 22/03/2022 14:50

I'm Norfolk based. Not originally from here though.

I'm looking forward to birth this time, I had a lovely home birth last time and I feel like I can absolutely do it again. Hopefully I'll be as lucky as I was last time with no tears at all. Just a tiny bit quicker would be great as I was in labour for 2 days!

Belle2210 · 22/03/2022 15:00
