@Belle2210 Amazing news!
@nicc1000 I'm sorry to hear that - it sounds really stressful. Is the NIPT the NHS test or is that an advanced screening. How do you feel about the amnio? I know my mother had one for me (because the tests for me came back high risk, I don't have it) - but she said she was very anxious about the amnio but knew she had to do it. I really feel for you, let us know how you go.
@IzzyLeigh That must be so frustrating, to be so close to a place of natural beauty that calls to you and yet no way of going. I think Scotland is similar to canada in many ways, a lot of natural beauty and not many people relatively! I've always thought Canada would be a nice place to emigrate one day if we wanted to leave Scotland (I mean, things are looking pretty terrible here RN after covid and Brexit, my food shops are off the CHAIN expensive!)
@Chocoholic88 - Welcome! Absolutely looking forward to a real (and less chubby as previously described haha) bump and less ambiguous movement (that def aren't trapped farts!).
@Carebear99 Hope all goes well- have booked ours for 16 weeks for a sneaky peak and gender :)
@Tinadecember I've never been to Liverpool but I've passed it on the train and it looks amazing- Looove the accent too. Actually have two lovely friends there so may visit one day! Campervan plan sounds amazing. I do have camper van dreams too - we want to do 'the north coast 500' one year, outwit midgey season! Back to back labour sounds sooo hard - was it the gas and air that did the trick- did she turn eventually?
@Moonshine160 What a cutie! Love a lil scan pic where you can see the outline of their face
@Celyn22 - So strange but the way you described your morning waves of tiredness is exactly how I feel. I've been looking it up and there's a theory it's due to dips in blood pressure so advice is to eat salt and do some cardio (two things I'd rather die than do in the morning right now). I've been up walking the dog this week though at 6-7 am and I actually thing it's worked!!
@stimpyyouidiot I'm on the 'home birth track' this time as I had a straight forward med free birth last time in the pool. I'm a bit nervous though I must say... I guess as a nurse I do feel quite calm in clinical environments in a way other people may not - But I also like the thought of my DC being involved in the birth as he's soooo excited and that feels really 'right' to me. That being said if something goes wrong and he's there to witness it that may be really traumatic. argh I don't know - we don't have much family that he knows well nearby so I'd have to ask a friend to take him and I feel sad thinking of him not being included.. sorry rambling but would love to know your thoughts as you had a home birth previously and also have another LO.
I rearranged the entire flat this week
, I was supposed to be writing up some clinical case studies for my geriatric nursing certificate ... oops. I feel like I had big periods of nesting early on then it would calm down then the urge would come again - not just at the end (though the day I went into labour, I cleaned the entire house between (early) contractions... great way to keep busy and moving! I've also splurged on a fancy pregnancy pillow as my hips are already aching from lying on my side.
