@Baileyx oh good, hopefully it stays quite mild
for you 🤞🏼 xx

Baileyx · 03/02/2022 20:22

@firsttimemumca thank you. Hope you're okay too. Xx

Cakecakecheese · 03/02/2022 20:24

Ooh a new thread, thanks for doing that.

I've also been accused of having a bump, by my friend, but it's just where I've put on a lot of weight from the IVF, not doing my usual hard-core exercise regimen and from eating all the biscuits.

Beth262 · 03/02/2022 20:24

@firsttimemumca Yes that pain has got me a few times at night turning over in bed. Takes your breath away! Just the muscles being so relaxed though, nothing to worry about.

@Isonthecase I think there are still a few people with scans towards the middle of the month (14 more days for @CoalCraft if my memory is correct!) so probably best to leave a due date list until the end of the month when everyone has a date to post Smile

@madeleine85 I’m the same lol! Constantly wondering if it’s bloat or bump 😂 that’s great yours is starting to harden already, must definitely be the start of your little bump, so lovely 🥰 I didn’t show until about 22-24 weeks last time, so maybe I’m just destined to be a late bloomer! I can really sympathise with you wondering if everything is going ok in there, I’ve not had a single symptom so far and I still don’t feel pregnant at all, and I’ve got 6 weeks to wait until my next scan! Really hoping I start to feel some movements soon, just for a bit of reassurance until my scan at least 🤞🏼

surprised12 · 04/02/2022 08:09

I've just caved and booked another private scan - this will be scan number 3!

I had one at 7 weeks, one at 9 weeks now this one next weekend will be 12 weeks.

The NHS backlog at my hospital means I might now even hear from them until I'm 14 weeks! :(

Anyone else as nervous as me?
Had a previous missed miscarriage and didn't know anything was wrong last time!

Cakecakecheese · 04/02/2022 08:41

@surprised12 That's bad you've not heard about your scan yet, I'm 13 weeks on Sunday and I've got mine on Monday.

I very much understand the nerves. I had a missed miscarriage, I had a scan at my IVF clinic and around 6 weeks which said everything was fine. At when I thought I was 9 weeks I started bleeding, EPU wouldn't see me for a few days so I booked a private scan and paid 85 quid to be told my baby had stopped growing at 6+5. So when people say to me 'why don't you book a reassurance scan?' That's why! So instead I've been a mild state of panic since I had my IVF clinic scan at 7 weeks. No bleeding this time but I still can't shift the feeling that something is wrong.

Beth262 · 04/02/2022 10:50

@surprised12 Your anxiety is completely understandable. Pregnancy after loss is hard, especially with a mmc because you have no idea that anything is wrong until you're scanned and you get that devastating news.

I've had scans at 6, 8, 10 & 13 this time and going into every single one I've been convinced I'd be walking out with bad news. I haven't.

If you can afford the private scans and they are bringing you reassurance, go for it! Hopefully with this latest one you've booked being at 12 weeks you will begin to feel less anxious reaching this milestone. Everything crossed for you.

It's so tricky isn't it? I've not had one this time as last time it didn't make me feel better for long anyway and it's a massive faff to get to and get childcare for. But equally well feel like a bit of a fraud not even knowing if there's a baby in there yet.

Unsure1010 · 04/02/2022 11:50

Thanks for the new thread!!!

I'm with you all on the bloating - I just feel like a constant ball and so gross. Hoping it settles into a proper bump sometime soon, although I'm quite large anyway, so think it might take a while.

Loved the ice lolly chat on the previous chat - had me rushing out to stock up on calypo's and fruit pastilles (not helping the large factor lol!!)

Cakecakecheese · 04/02/2022 12:16

I really want sour cream pringles but by the time I get them I'll have changed my mind! My kitchen is full of random snacks I wanted for 5 minutes then changed my mind about.

Hannah12x · 04/02/2022 12:30

Joining this thread am due 13th August! Has anyone symptoms mostly disappeared apart from tiredness?

notsofertilemyrtle · 04/02/2022 12:44

@Cakecakecheese me too! So many packets of things I've eaten one of 🙈 DH is enjoying my food rejects

Meepthesheep · 04/02/2022 12:52

Thank you everyone for your kind wishes. I'm on day three now, and feel less horrific, just like I have a bad cold. DH has done my first two blood thinning injections into my stomach (worse for him than me I think!) They have rescheduled my scan for day 11, so not too long to wait.

@notsofertilemyrtle that image really made me chuckle and cheered me up!

Really exciting to hear about everybody's scans!!

Isonthecase · 04/02/2022 12:59

Yeah, my food cravings are extremely specific! Really fancied something the other day and found out my husband and child had eaten the last ones already and NOT REPLACED THEM. Not even from our usual supermarket 😭

Cakecakecheese · 04/02/2022 13:15

@Hannah12x Congratulations, my due date is the 14th. I still get sore boobs and headaches but the nausea went a few weeks ago. Your placenta has hopefully taken over now so that's probably why you feel better. Have you had your scan yet?

@Isonthecase Outrageous! I would have sent him straight out to replace it Grin

Hannah12x · 04/02/2022 13:19

@Cakecakecheese aw congratulations! My boobs stopped hurting and Nausea eased off around week 10 was panicking like mad for the scan! Our little one was kicking and waving away. Still getting headaches on and off! Are you showing at all yet?x

Beth262 · 04/02/2022 14:24

Welcome those who’ve just joined! 😀

Had our scan today- measuring 13 weeks on the dot! Due date August 12th. 🥰
Baby was being a pickle and lying upside down, hiding, crunching itself into a ball.. I had to do a lot of not very graceful bum wiggling and eventually star jumps to get it to somersault into the right position, but all was well in the end! 😀

Really hope everyone who’s been poorly is on the mend and sending luck to everyone awaiting scans! X

Cakecakecheese · 04/02/2022 16:10

@Hannah12x I've put on a lot of weight due to ivf meds, reducing my usual full on exercise regimen and eating biscuits, plus the bloating so I just can't tell if it's showing or not.

CazWte · 04/02/2022 16:39

Hey ladies! I posted a while back but been quiet lately whilst awaiting my scan. Had it today and all looks perfect, due 18th Aug. I've joined the Facebook group and look forward to chatting to you all more. X

PopGoesBang · 04/02/2022 16:56

Is there another link for the fb page? I'm a bit slow - can't even blame baby brain!

I've definitely got a bloat bump, but I gave up breathing in weeks ago.
