@FirstTimeMummy2022 I'm sure your be fine, my partner had it a few weeks back and I remained negative the whole time. (Makes you wonder how easy it does actually spread). I'm now 9 weeks and all fine.
Also I'm sure you can speak to the midwife before having your appointment should you need to do so. So for now just get the sanitizer and disinfectant out! X

Mags146 · 30/01/2022 10:28
@mummysept22 I'm also 5+5 and having night sweats. Mine started a few days before getting my bfp. I googled it ( naughty me) and apparently it's due to increasing levels of hormones. I dont have other symptoms apart from tiredness. Do you sweat to the point you have to change your pyjamas?
Yes, I'm dripping sweat around my chest and neck mostly. Got an early scan on Tuesday so hopfully everything will be ok 🤞

yesthatsright · 30/01/2022 12:27

Had my early scan on Friday 8+1 but measuring 8+3. Seen a little heartbeat and everything looks good 🤞
The couple before us didn't get good news and my heart breaks for them. Still thinking about them now 😢

Congrats to all of you who have had BFPs and reassuring scans! I’m so jealous and desperate to have a scan myself, but need to wait until I get DH’s shift pattern for mid Feb before I can book it.
I’m only 5+1 (going on ovulation date) and symptoms have been inconsistent so I’m doing that crazy thing of wishing I had stronger/more consistent symptoms for reassurance. But if I remember correctly last time they kicked in around 6 weeks… just trying to trust the process but it’s hard!

becky239 · 30/01/2022 13:14

Good afternoon ladies. Here is a link to the Facebook page if any one else would like to join. We now have over 100 members! Congratulations on all the BFP's!

Hi everyone, I'm 8 weeks today (Yaaaay!). Very exciting to be hitting that milestone (20% of the way there) but also feeling horrible. The nausea has been constant for the last couple of weeks. If I eat too little I start heaving if I eat too much I get really bad indigestion and reflux. It's been really hard to find that sweet spot, specially because every food sounds completely disgusting to me at the moment. I spend most of the day just feeling sorry for myself and wanting a nap, which I can't take because I work full time and have a very active 22 month old. I'm also studying part time and I'm starting to fall behind on my course work.

I'm really excited to be pregnant, and this was very much a planned pregnancy but I completely forgot how hard it can be. Anyone else struggling to cope at the moment?

PrettyTulip · 30/01/2022 14:15

@Dreamer30 hope you're okay. Are you still having bad period style cramps?

TotoAnnihiliation · 30/01/2022 14:19

I'm right there with you, yes food is mostly disgusting. So far I'm surviving on chicken nuggets and biscuits. I feel so so queasy.

I don't think the doctors can offer anything for sickness unless you are actually sick though?

monkeyjocks · 30/01/2022 14:30

@TotoAnnihiliation sorry you are feeling the same, but also glad to know I'm not alone.

You might be right about the medication. I had hypermesis last time and was on cyclizine for it but I haven't been sick (yet) this time around. I have an appointment with my GP this week so I'll see what she says.

I'm relieved it doesn't look like I have hypermesis again, this time last time around I had already been to hospital for fluids. But I still feel kind of miserable, and I thinks it's because I have too much going on so I can't just rest. Last time I could just lay in bed when I was unwell.
I told my husband this yesterday and he took care of things so I could a took a 2h nap, it was glorious! But I can't really do that every day.

Dreamer30 · 30/01/2022 17:09

@PrettyTulip thank you, they come and go. Been fine up until last night, was okay earlier and now they're back. I'm also sitting with a hot water bottle on my back though so I think it's all normal (hoping it is) and that it passes. How are you?

PrettyTulip · 30/01/2022 17:29

@Dreamer30 glad you're feeling a bit better.

I don't know what's normal, I'm the same as you and constantly thinking every bit of pain/twinge I get is another miscarriage. I'm so excited for Saturday but yet so nervous at the same time.. I just want everything to be okay 🤞
I'm also constipated but the thought of having a no.2 petrifies me too 😂 scared I'm going to hurt the baby somehow x

KitDr · 30/01/2022 17:47

Hi all, been lurking for about a week since I found out I was pregnant. First time pregnancy, both nervous and excited. Think I am about 5.5 weeks now. Smile

Husband knows but nobody else. We are waiting until at least week 8 to tell close friends and family. But feeling quite run down, crampy, hungry every couple of hours but don't feel like eating.

At the moment feeling quite lonely, and just want other people to talk to! Doesn't help that husband is currently ill so is just trying to recover and get well, so isn't really in a chatty mood!

Dreamer30 · 30/01/2022 18:26

@PrettyTulip I'm the same! Keep thinking something is going to go wrong before my scan or they'll tell me something bad when I have it. So nerve wracking! Just 6 days to go eh 😅 also in the constipated club! Bought bran flakes and pure orange juice but so far, no luck lol

TotoAnnihiliation · 30/01/2022 18:30

Welcome @KitDr - you can talk to us! Pregnancy can be overwhelming, many strange things happening to our bodies.

I feel so nauseous! I don't know what to do with myself. I hate been lazy but if I stand up and do something it makes me feel worse 😭

Betseyrov · 30/01/2022 20:01

Is anyone feeling constantly wet down there? I'm always scared to go to the loo to check and find blood, but it's just cm

Mags146 · 30/01/2022 20:19

@Betseyrov Im quite wet and every time I go to the look I'm scared it's blood.

annlee3817 · 30/01/2022 20:47

@Betseyrov yep, I've been the same, remember it from last time

IzzyLeigh · 30/01/2022 21:58

@Dreamer30 remember in the last thread when I asked when morning sickness kicked in for everyone and you said yours started at 6+1? And then I said I would be 6+1 the following day and that I was hoping for it for reassurance? And then I made some comment about how I'd probably regret wishing for it?
Well, I did end up getting it 6+1 after all! And I'm totally starting to regret wishing for it haha
Especially because I went grocery shopping the day before and filled the fridge with tons of healthy stuff that's supposed to be really good for pregnancy! Now I can't even think about any of it and it's all going to go bad!

madeleine85 · 30/01/2022 22:55

@Betseyrov I have no recollection of it past pregnancy, but it’s there this one. It’s worse if I workout, so I’ve been using that as an excuse 😂.

@IzzyLeigh I’ve thrown out so much food... tastes/cravings change daily!

My 10 week scan is this Friday, I’m a mixture of can’t wait and slightly terrified. I think he’s still in there and has a heartbeat, but who the hell knows. Every twinge sets me off. This morning I sat up fast and had a searing pain and was like this is it 🤦‍♀️. Almost 1/4 of the way through though!!

Gemmasl35 · 31/01/2022 02:00

Hi ladies I'm 9 weeks today and have recently had covid I tested positive Wednesday after a week of being really poorly and testing negative everyday. I am now testing negative again but the exhaustion is not subsiding I am still bed bound has anyone else experienced this? now the other covid symptoms are wearing off I have the worst nausea my head spins out Just by lifting It from a laying down position. I haven't been sick at all just the constant feeling. Never experienced it this bad in past pregnancy was thinking maybe it could still be the tale end of covid and not pregnancy 🤷🏼‍♀️

Dreamer30 · 31/01/2022 06:01

@IzzyLeigh 🤣 oh what a shame! That's sods law lol it's horrible isn't it? I've found that it's worse if I don't eat. I'm the same as you, everything I look at makes me nauseous lol everything I smell or think of having is off putting, it's so hard to actually eat. I've been having orange juice in the morning, find it settles my stomach (tea is now questionable) and then having some cereal. If I eat little and often I'm okay, but if I have a big break between meals the nausea is worse. I hope you feel better soon! I'm praying mine vanishes by 12w like it did with my daughter

Tinadecember · 31/01/2022 08:14

Morning ladies!

7+2 here today, don't know about you ladies but I am feeling absolutely horrendous with morning sickness, in fact, all day bloody sickness! From the minute I open my eyes with no break until I go to sleep, would a doctor prescribe anti sick meds for this or do I actually need to be vomiting?

Because I feel sick constantly, obviously the food aversions and smell aversions are increasing so I feel like I don't want to eat.

Got my booking in appt tomorrow so I will mention it to the midwife to see what she thinks.

Hoping for an early scan, I had a complete molar pregnancy with my first pregnancy prior to my DD so I would hope that an early scan is arranged to ensure bubba is growing as should be. If not, I am going to have to arrange a private, can't cope waiting another 5 weeks!!!

annlee3817 · 31/01/2022 08:24

Can anyone recommend good workouts that you're using on YouTube, pregnancy friendly, totally off the crutches now so want to start building my fitness back up so that I can do something other than my physio strength until I can run again :)
