@Poppybloom55 yes, but I went privately to a gynecologist:)

petitlapin1 · 17/02/2022 13:52

@stimpyyouidiot
Last time round I was over 15st at the start. I wore some next maternity jeans and some big (men's) chunky jumpers. Now, a few years later, I really wish I'd been prouder of my b-shaped bump and taken some more pictures. I ended up lighter than when I started (due to Hyperemesis).

My BMI this time is >40, I'm a size 20/22 and I am documenting the hell out of this bump. I've bought some maternity stuff off vinted and plan on wearing the dresses in my wardrobe that make me look pregnant (even when I'm not!) as soon as the weather warms up. This time I'm making the most of my excuse to look fat!

stimpyyouidiot · 17/02/2022 14:02

Aw that's brilliant to hear. I'm hoping once I feel less rubbish I'll enjoy it a little bit more! Not much time to dwell on it as 4 year old keeps me busy. I think I'm just stung from last time where people kept telling me I had a strange shaped bump. Really got me down!

Glitterygreen · 17/02/2022 14:05

@stimpyyouidiot Yep I'm the same, I really struggle to lose anything without being super strict. My problem is eating out and takeaways, when I'm eating at home I think my diet is pretty good, but I probably eat out or get a takeaway twice a week at least.

@TotoAnnihiliation Yep technically obese here too :( Feels mad doesn't it, for a size 14.

I have been so lucky that beyond low-level nausea I haven't felt rough at all so I've been able to go swimming and gyming a couple of times a week. Really sympathise with you both feeling so shit, hopefully things look up after 12 weeks 🤞

HeyBlaby · 17/02/2022 14:21

I was lucky to get my NIPT results back today, all low risk and found out it's a baby girl, seems really strange knowing so soon!

stimpyyouidiot · 17/02/2022 14:21

Mine isn't even that, I honestly did everything I could last year. Doing cardio and weight training, tried eating 1200, then 1500 then 1800, 2000. I did go for bloods in the end but nothing came up. Just got stuck and then Xmas came. I was weighing everything that went in to my mouth, even lettuce and it was pretty miserable.

stimpyyouidiot · 17/02/2022 14:22

I'll get back to it after. Thankfully having a bmi of 33 means I can still homebirth which is all I want really.

HeyBlaby · 17/02/2022 14:24

@poppybloom55 I had a scan at 7 weeks 4 days and would recommend, it was at a private place and abdominal was fine but she did have transvaginal if needed. You can't see much but you can see the beart beating, it was so worth it for me and helped with my worrying.

IzzyLeigh · 17/02/2022 14:31

@HeyBlaby congrats!!Cake

Carebear99 · 17/02/2022 14:36

@HeyBlaby congratulations! I'm waiting anxiously for my nipt results... I'm older, aged 39 and I have a bmi of 35. I'm so so anxious at present

IzzyLeigh · 17/02/2022 14:36

hey guys, I started a new thread since this one is about to cap. Here's the link to the new one:

Poppybloom55 · 17/02/2022 15:12

@HeyBlaby thank you. Did you find the scan confirmed how far along you thought you were or had you miscalculated at all?

HeyBlaby · 17/02/2022 15:24

@poppybloom55 yes, was only 2 days out from lmp.

ShiningStarz · 17/02/2022 15:41

@IzzyLeigh congrats!!

@Carebear99 I'm 39 too, I have my NiPT next week. Anxious about it too.

Carebear99 · 17/02/2022 15:44

@ShiningStarz the waiting is torture!

ShiningStarz · 17/02/2022 16:10

@Carebear99 how long have you been waiting! I had it in my first pregnancy and I think I wanted 10 days but I had to keep ringing up the clinic! The results went direct to consultant!

ShiningStarz · 17/02/2022 16:11

Waited not wanted !

annlee3817 · 17/02/2022 16:22

Hi all, got my NIPT results back, 9 long working days... Low risk and we are having another little girl 🥰

@annlee3817 Congratulations! 🎊

ShiningStarz · 17/02/2022 21:26

Congrats @annlee3817 💕

mummysept22 · 18/02/2022 20:09

Hey those of you who had the NIPT, did you all go private or were you offered it following your 12 week scan? I am 9 weeks and wondering do I just do it soon. I was told it would be offered it if the results following the 12 week scan indicated issues. Just seems like a long time to wait as those results can take 2 weeks! Then another 1-2 for NIPT 😬 this is so stressful 🤣 x

ShiningStarz · 18/02/2022 20:35

@mummysept22 there's a new page, do down to izzyleigh message few messages down.

I am paying privately for NIPT harmony test.
It can be expensive up to £500.
It can be done from 10 weeks. I am getting it done at 11 weeks. My reason is because I'm almost 40, my last pregnancy I was 38 and I opted for the test then too. It really depends on your circumstances and it's a personal choice.
I don't know if hospitals offer it but if they do it'll prob be after 12 week scan.

mummysept22 · 18/02/2022 20:38

@ShiningStarz ahh thanks ! Didn't realise there was a new page. Thanks for the reply. I am 35 and have been told I am basically in every high risk category 😩 so keep to get everything done. Think I'll just book in a week or so. So glad all yours came back good !!! Thanks again :) x

Dreamer30 · 18/02/2022 20:42

Here's my wee jelly bean! 😊 measuring at 10w+1d instead of 9w+5d but she said it could change at my next scan.
We seen it's wee arms waving around 🥰
My sis says she sees the nub and it's a wee girl but I think it's too early and that straight line could move lol feeling so relieved!
