@Whatelsecouldibecalled I'm 8+3 now and have a 13 month old, I'd been pretty much as normal but in the last week DH has been doing much more as my nausea and tiredness is so bad! I still do everything during weekdays but he gets up with DD and puts her to bed so I can rest a bit more. Today he had her all day which was a life saver as I felt dreadful! Hoping it's pretty much the worst it's going to get over the next week or so 🙏 I can't really remember when I started feeling better last time!

Belle2210 · 29/01/2022 19:28

Hope everyone's fine! Can't believe another new thread already. I was meant to have my early scan today 7 + 2 but storm Malik kind of buggered that. Had to rearrange for next weekend as roads are horrendous with fallen trees and no power (NE Scotland). Also ruined my plans to tell my closest GFs about baby with a suspish Tshirt hint at dinner after the scan. Told them anyways via watsapp as I can't handle them not knowing any longer 😂.
Nausea/sickness has also upped its game today. Hanging over the toilet twice 😷 thankfully it's eased off again for now.

TotoAnnihiliation · 29/01/2022 19:57

@Whatelsecouldibecalled my DH has had to step up with 4 year old DD. I've felt too poorly to do much apart from read her bedtime stories. I feel so guilty for neglecting her.

110APiccadilly · 29/01/2022 20:29

@MedbN That's interesting, mine is phone only. Based on the ones for DD (though that was April/May 2020, so maybe I shouldn't base anything on that!) they'll do my bloods, measuring etc when I have the 12 week scan.

I'll be 8 weeks as well.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 29/01/2022 20:57

I'm trying to carry on as normal as much as possible. Raced round soft play today chucking him around. I guess baby is well
Protected.

madeleine85 · 29/01/2022 21:10

I’m generally better in mornings than night time, so we’re managing my DD around that. She’s currently eating chicken nuggets and I’m hiding in another room as I cannot stand the smell of cooking chicken right now 😂

mummysept22 · 29/01/2022 22:12

Hello mummy's today be. Just a bit of advice. I am on a course this weekend, part of it involves long walks- tomorrow is 2.5 hours, on the flat. I am 6w 2D- I am tired this evening after a full on day but generally ok in the mornings. Do you think that's too much at this delicate stage? Thinking I might suggest driving half way there and meeting them? X

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 29/01/2022 22:36

@mummysept22 how much exercise do you usually do? I cover on average 6/7 miles a day on my feet all day at work so I would still do the work. But if you don't do as much maybe not?

mistyrae · 29/01/2022 23:01

Hi all,
I have recently found out that I am pregnant at 5w 5d (if following LMP) and EDD 26th. I am a big ball of anxiety at the moment! I have joined a Facebook group but it was one from another website and unsure if it is the same as the one mentioned here but would I be able to have the link to check?

Congratulations all!

girafferafferaffe · 30/01/2022 06:44

I've a 4 year old and it's business as usual and then I collapse in the evening exhausted! Doing school runs then going to work and then back and school run again. Dinner straight away then bath/bed. Then I can just stop. Poor husband doesn't get much of me though!

110APiccadilly · 30/01/2022 07:07

@Whatelsecouldibecalled I'm also trying to carry on as normal, though I did send her to DH yesterday afternoon (we were all in the living room) when she wanted to come and sit on me so I could read her a book, as I felt very queasy and wasn't keen on having her squishing my stomach! But in general, I do what I normally would with her.

She's not in nursery - DH and I work different times so we can each look after her when the other is working. So she's very used to DH having her on his own, which is helpful (and will be even more so the first few weeks of the new one arriving).

She's less used to being left with anyone else, but we've got a lovely friend who's happy to have her while I have my scan appointment so DH can come with me, and we're making sure to spend time with her in the next few weeks so DD gets used to her.

20viona · 30/01/2022 07:48

My daughter is 2.5 and Iv been carrying on as normal, no symptoms except giant painful boobs so other than stopping her jumping on my chest it's business as usual.

annlee3817 · 30/01/2022 08:09

@mistyrae congrats, will get someone to post the FB link, completely private group, so need one of the admins to do it :)

Six year old here, so cracking on as normal, she's really easy to be fair, I've organised a few extra playdates at ours so she is entertained when I'm feeling particularly rough

@Dreamer30 may be worth checking for a UTI, I had that hot feeling plus a feeling of pressure when I had a UTI at six weeks. Sorry about your previous loss.

Morning ladies! I got my 3+ on the clear blue today 😍❤️

But.. my DH got a different kind of positive - the covid kind 😢 I'm absolutely terrified of getting it myself. I'm fully vaccinated and boosted, so unlikely to be very ill, but I'm so scared of something happening to the baby. Does anyone know if covid in early pregnancy can cause major issues?

DH is confining himself to the spare room so hopefully I can avoid it but I was around him before we knew he had it. I'm so scared 😭
Any advice? X

mistyrae · 30/01/2022 08:41

Congratulations!! and sorry about the unwanted covid positive too!

I haven’t done much research myself as it makes me nervous too but I have heard that they don’t believe the risks are as bad as they previously did. I would talk to your GP. If it is any reassurance, I have had to complete a risk assessment for work and I have no increased risk for covid, whereas at the beginning of the pandemic it would be came up with high risk. It’s up to you if you want to stay away from him if possible, but try not to stress too much, hope he has a speedy recovery!

Thanks @mistyrae 😘 that's good to know it's considered low risk.

Tbh I think I'd be nervous if he had a regular cold - I never imagined early pregnancy to be this anxiety-inducing! He's been really sweet and said he's going to stay in the spare room until he's negative so unless I already have it, hopefully I won't get it! ❤️

mistyrae · 30/01/2022 09:11

I am the exact same! I feel like everything is worrying me and I can’t relax. Every time I go to the toilet I’m expecting to see blood and I just cannot stop worrying but from what I’ve read, that’s completely normal!

I’m not sure when you found out, but I found out on Tuesday and this has been the longest week of my life… time is just going sooo slow which isn’t helping with the anxiety!

mum2bsept22 · 30/01/2022 09:35

Hi all, I'm 5 weeks 5 days and been having night sweats for the past 5 days with no other symptoms apart from feeling a bit tired and bloated. Anyone else been having night sweats?
This is worrying me a lot as I had the same symptoms in my last pregnacy through ivf and the baby stopped growing at 5 weeks and had a DC.

Peauela · 30/01/2022 09:46

Good morning!

I'll be having my morning coffee now and catching up on the thread, but I also went with the flow and tested with my CB digital week indicator! I got my 3+ 🥰 I was prepared for 2-3 to be honest but got a lovely surprise! I'm 6+4 today but 5+5 going by ovulation.

Ahhh I have my visit tomorrow can't wait, maybe I'll get to see my little Bean ❤️🙏🏻

@mummysept22 I'm also 5+5 and having night sweats. Mine started a few days before getting my bfp. I googled it ( naughty me) and apparently it's due to increasing levels of hormones. I dont have other symptoms apart from tiredness. Do you sweat to the point you have to change your pyjamas?

hayleynk27 · 30/01/2022 09:54

Hey, I had my booking appointment on Thursday and they did say regarding covid. That if you do get covid to let your midwife know straight away, as they issue you a covid pack. I can't remember fully what they said was in it (so much information to take in)but they are really on top of it to ensure you remain as well as possible should you catch it. I would presume this is the same for all areas too that this is done Smile

I had covid a week before I got my BFP. I let the midwife know at my booking in app and she didn't seem to be overly concerned. She just asked if I'd had my jabs which I had.

I just felt like I had cold and really tired but that was about it.

FirstTimeMummy2022 · 30/01/2022 10:00

Thanks so much @hayleynk27 that's useful to know - if I do get it I'll make sure to let them know straight away. I haven't had my booking in appointment yet, but have had the letter to give me the date of it so I guess I'll just call that number if I need to. Hoping and praying it doesn't come to that 🤞

FirstTimeMummy2022 · 30/01/2022 10:03

Thanks @Jenna240 - sorry to hear you had covid but glad you and baby are all ok :) I guess there's probably not that much they need to do unless you have bad symptoms. Thank you for reassuring me x
