Oh girls, I’ve been sick all night after having what I think is food poisoning… I had a takeaway pizza last night and felt queasy after like I do after eating most nights but had to go lay down, then I’m started to be sick violently. My pizza was a spicy vegetarian 🤢 so no meat but I’m stressing about the baby. I’m 8+1 and wondering if this could harm it 😢

Oh no!! Are you still sick? Can you keep water down?
Billymay · 17/02/2022 07:50

I haven’t been sick anymore since 5:30am… I can keep sips of water down but I just feel so dehydrated now and stomach cramps. X

annlee3817 · 17/02/2022 07:58

@Billymay could you have caught
A bug from someone?

@annlee3817 I’ve not been out of the house since Monday so god knows… I just can’t be that sick again it was horrible. Xx

@HelenHomebird I feel the same in terms of not feeling pregnant or not believing it to be true! I'm 9+1 today, had my scan at 6+5 and had a lovely heartbeat, going for a second scan on Monday, the 21st. I pray all is well. We've told our parents and closest family at 8 weeks :)

@PrettyTulip I still haven't heard anything but I'm in Ireland. So far did private scans as I couldn't wait until 12 weeks! I think I'm going to wait until I'm 10 weeks and will call my GP.

@Glitterygreen if all is well and I get an all clear from doc we are planning to go for a week in June, probably Italy :)

@MOLWI beautiful scan 😍

@EverydayIsPJday I have occasional cramps too, my doc said that I shouldn't worry unless they are constant or very often and really strong.

@Dreamer30 I'm similar. I haven't got too many symptoms and I'm 9+1 today. I only feel extremely tired some days, I had extremely sore boobs but now only my nipples are sensitive. It's such a hard time this waiting game... I keep reading on all forums about crazy symptoms and nausea and food aversions and I really have non... had some nausea maybe for 3 days and that was it.

@gigantaraffe ahh I feel you. I'm overweight too, actually I'm closer to obesity unfortunately and I had a plan to lose some, we even though about stopping TTC for a few months but then I found out I was pregnant already 😬 trying not to gain too much.

Glitterygreen · 17/02/2022 11:34

@gigantaraffe I am in the same boat, was already a bit overweight and then was carrying extra Christmas weight when I found out I was pregnant on NYE!

Got weighed at my booking appointment and flagged for GD due to BMI over 30 and I was thinking nooooo this is so unfair...some of it is Christmas lbs!!🤣 AND my appointment was straight after I'd had a big lunch.

I do worry about putting on loads of weight, especially as 3 of my friends have had babies in the last 18 months and 2 of them gained nothing but the bump really (in appearance anyway). But they are both a few inches taller than me. I don't want them to secretly judge me.

I am trying to stay active throughout in the hopes this will help keep it under control but I'm not massively confident given I am already overweight in 'normal' life.

It's just hard as well when you don't feel that big normally - I am a size 14 - and then since becoming pregnant it's now flagged as possibly a major problem. Makes you feel shit doesn't it.

ShiningStarz · 17/02/2022 11:56

@Peauela where in Ireland are you?
I'm in the north

Poppybloom55 · 17/02/2022 12:14

Hi All 👋🏻
I’m new to the forum and I’m actually due in October but wanted to post in this September thread to ask if you September mummy’s have had early reassurance scans around 7 weeks?
I’ve been racking my brain to determine my last period, and have booked a scan for when I think I’ll be 8 weeks but I’ve read so many messages about how people were almost certainly not as far along as they thought and ended up seeing nothing!
Has anyone had one at 7 weeks and recommend? Did going off your LMP work out to the right dates for you?

Peauela · 17/02/2022 12:20

@ShiningStarz very South ! 😂

Peauela · 17/02/2022 12:21

@Poppybloom55 I had my private scan at 6+5 and saw a heartbeat but it was a transvaginal ultrasound :)

Carebear99 · 17/02/2022 12:25

I'm feeling very stressed today. Symptoms all gone again, I'm 10+4 or 10+5. Some days like today I have no symptoms.

I'm waiting for my nipt results, fingers crossed I'll get them tomorrow. I'm feeling quite overwhelmed.

stimpyyouidiot · 17/02/2022 12:32

@Glitterygreen it's giraffe here just name changed - I know. I was a 14/16 before and I'm just like arghhh whyyyy didn't I manage to lose more!! I'm struggling to stay active with feeling so tired and rough most days. If I had one wish I'd be one of these people who looks amazing and skinny with no effort. I have to starve myself to get anywhere and it's pretty miserable. Anywho. It's not the time to try and lose weight. Hoping in the 2nd trimester I'll feel a bit better and then can be more active and eat better (not just carbs as that's what makes me feel better right now!!!)

Billymay · 17/02/2022 12:33

I’ve not made out of bed today, I have a banging headache and now a slight fever… I’ve not eaten anything just sipping water… I’m really hoping this doesn’t effect things 😢 4 weeks till I’m 12 weeks seems ages to wait. We are not in a position to go for a reassurance scan as well. Xx

stimpyyouidiot · 17/02/2022 12:35

As long as you're not being sick all the time and can keep down water I'm sure you'll be alright. Poor you :(

IzzyLeigh · 17/02/2022 12:35

Hi @Poppybloom55 I had a scan last week at 7w 4d and was only a day off (I thought I was 7w 5d). It was transvaginal and I saw the heartbeat too. Super reassuring.

IzzyLeigh · 17/02/2022 12:38

@stimpyyouidiot: sorry, I know you weren't talking to me, but we had two giraffe names in here for a bit. Which are you? gigantaraffe or girafferafferaffe? Just trying to keep everyone sorted in my mind Smile

stimpyyouidiot · 17/02/2022 12:40

Both me! I change names regularly because I've a RL stalker :)

TotoAnnihiliation · 17/02/2022 12:43

@Glitterygreen I'm the same as you, normally a size 14. I've been carrying lots extra weight due to an unhealthy lifestyle because of working hours. I've lost weight over the past few weeks as I've struggled to eat but I am still in the obese category 😳

IzzyLeigh · 17/02/2022 12:43

@stimpyyouidiot ah, makes sense! thanks! Also, sorry that you're dealing with a stalker. That's awful Angry

Poppybloom55 · 17/02/2022 12:48

@Peauela did they choose that type for you? Mine is going to be the normal over the tummy scan. I am just worried I have got my dates wrong but I can’t bear to wait any longer :-)

stimpyyouidiot · 17/02/2022 12:49

Ah it's been years. I'm sort of used to it now! Cray cray gonna cray :)

ShiningStarz · 17/02/2022 12:56

@Poppybloom55 welcome to the group and sorry to hear of your miscarriages. Did you get investigations done into recurrent miscarriage?
I had a scan at 8 weeks (last pregnancy) and saw heart beat.

@Peauela lovely! Hope all goes well for you.

@Carebear99 snap!! I've been checking for a 'bump' most mornings! The nausea is real so the pregnancy should be real! I just need the scan, next week now!!

@stimpyyouidiot nice new name!! I had gestational diabetes last pregnancy, have they offered you to be tested for it? Was bloody awful, had to see a dietician, turns out you don't need many carbs to grow a baby! 15g porridge, table spoon of quinoa in salad for lunch, 1/2 sweet potato dinner and minimal fruit was all I was allowed! No choc or buns or crisp. I made up for it after birth lol

stimpyyouidiot · 17/02/2022 13:01

Yeah they're testing my glucose but no issues. It's just the first trimester making me feel grim! Can only face beige stuff like pasta/crackers etc most days.

ShiningStarz · 17/02/2022 13:13

@stimpyyouidiot that's great!! I love the beige stuff too!!!
