@annlee3817 that’s so annoying, hope it comes soon. My 12 week scan is tomorrow. I keep convincing myself it’s all gone wrong etc. good luck for yours!!

@Dreamer30 I’m the same. I’ve just spent an absurd amount on a new mattress which I’m waiting for bc I’m so fed up of his moving keeping me up all night. I swear if this doesn’t work, which I know it won’t 🤦‍♀️

@girafferafferaffe I just bought 2 pairs of Amazon maternity leggings which are great and very cheap. I’m going to have to get clothes soon, but so far it’s just a pack of maternity bras why go I’ve almost outgrown and the leggings. ASOS has some decent cheap stuff I think. Last time I just bought some big T-shirts’ and leggings and coasted as long as possible in those.

ShiningStarz · 16/02/2022 15:06

@HeyBlaby I've my harmony next week. I think last time it took 10 days or so. I had to keep contacting the clinic to see if results were in!

@madeleine85 how exciting for tomorrow !! Mine is in 2 weeks!
I'm still able to button up my jeans and it's fine. Trying to eat sensible, easier said than done !!! Working from home doesn't help! Too easy to keep snacking!!

ShiningStarz · 16/02/2022 15:08

@gigantaraffe try new look and H&M. Their sales are great!
In fairness last time around I only had 1 pair of leggings and 1 pair of jeans and just normal bugger size cheap strappy vests with normal shirts or cardis (unopened) most of your bump will be spring/summer ❤️

gigantaraffe · 16/02/2022 15:21

True! I was hoping to last more in my normal clothes but that def isn't happening. Was thinking of buying some smock dresses from the normal range and hoping they'd get me along for a while

ShiningStarz · 16/02/2022 15:59

@gigantaraffe if you think you might have more than 1 definitely buy a few things in the sales.
My bump was never big even at the end. If your bump is huge you'll defo need even just T-shirts and a pair of leggings. I was sad when I had to pack away the maternity jeans, I missed the fabric band lol

gigantaraffe · 16/02/2022 16:04

Oh this is my second but I didn't think I'd be having another one so got rid of it all although to be fair, most of it was given to me because I also couldn't afford a new wardrobe last time haha. But I've got nobody to borrow from this time. I hated the jeans though, I always felt like they weren't on properly. I'm also not a skinny person in any way so I just look like a freakin' unit. I'm not an attractive glowing pregnant woman, I'm a mess!

annlee3817 · 16/02/2022 16:22

I ordered some jeans from.the next clearance section but they were too big, so have ordered another size. Ordered a two pack of leggings too in the same clearance, but they were awful and see through, not having much luck so far and struggling to get into my jeans

@gigantaraffe

Already running out of things that fit though hha. Last time I just had to wear leggings and T-shirts because I couldn't afford much else. £30 on one dress is such a lot of money.
Have a look on Boo Hoo Maternity Sale. Have a good selection that are very discounted. I haven't started buying a y as yet but had a look before out of curiosity.
gigantaraffe · 16/02/2022 16:28

I'll have a look @Belle2210 !

Worried again about my symptoms disappearing 😔 I'm 9w+3d now haven't felt sick since about Saturday I think and now my boobs don't feel as sore. I know I'm paranoid due to 2 previous losses but I'm just so worried about something going wrong

Try not to worry. I had a previous loss so understand what you feel like.

However, I'm 13 weeks tomorrow, lost my sickness and sore boobs - but had a scan on Sunday and everything is perfect!

Try not to stress yourself Thanks

Dreamer30 · 16/02/2022 19:37

@surprised12 thank you. I worry about everything and finding it hard just to enjoy it and be excited. Hopefully all is okay

ShiningStarz · 16/02/2022 19:51

Oh yeah @gigantaraffe boo boo were fab, j got my maternity might dress and pyjamas from there.

ShiningStarz · 16/02/2022 19:52

@Dreamer30 I'm with ya! Think when the placenta takes over the symptoms change... Try not to worry, our bodies are constantly changing and adapting to growing the little person.
My last pregnancy I had zero symptoms! All was fine.

Mags146 · 16/02/2022 19:57

I think i will check out asda and vinted. No idea what size I will need. I normally wear 14, my wishful thinking is not to go beyond 16... 🙁

madeleine85 · 16/02/2022 20:01

@Dreamer30 try to relax a bit about the symptoms. After 9-10 weeks mine come and go now, today is great, sunday was awful (12 weeks now). Some people are just really great at pregnancy (not me) and are all glowing skin, beautful bump, and no sickness. The rest of us have a bit of a struggle. Hope it is all ok, and that you have a checkup soon to ease your mind a bit x

I'm def beyond a 16 :(
Dreamer30 · 16/02/2022 20:28

Thanks ladies. I have another scan on Friday (reschedule from the one that was cancelled last minute) so hoping all is okay then!

TotoAnnihiliation · 16/02/2022 21:28

I've booked another scan for Friday evening. Another day of struggling to eat here. I'm looking forward to treating myself to some maternity clothes after the 12 week scan.

Isonthecase · 16/02/2022 21:33

@gigantaraffe I'd recommend the ASOS sale and have also been pleasantly surprised with fabletics maternity leggings which are 2 for £24 as an intro (then cancel the subscription!). I'm still in my postpartum clothes from last time which are a size bigger than usual but it's similar weather then so I'd recommend buying a few bits you can wear after to ease in now.

I'd focus on good leggings and jeans as you'll be in them all the time then some of the floaty dresses a couple of sizes bigger than usual or stretchy ones that, again, you can wear after. That should cover summer too - just dump the leggings. I'm also still wearing a gap maternity vest top that I wore to 9 months last time and the time in between pregnancies because it's comfy!

Isonthecase · 16/02/2022 21:35

And for those feeling like whales, I had loads of people say how well I was doing pregnancy both times and how neat my bump was but I still managed to put on several stone and feel like a whale even if you wouldn't have guessed Confused

Honestly I turn into a shapeless lump of fat. Not even a nice bump. Huge double chin. Such a shame :( I look at people I know pregnant and just wonder why I draw the short straw! Doesn't help I'm overweight in the first place (I had been trying to lose weight for a year but got stuck at 13st - then Xmas happened and then realised I was pregnant). Just hope I can get a hold of myself soon after and start again. I just feel so embarrassed that I just wear leggings and oversized jumpers/T-shirts all the time. I've got a wedding to go to when I'm 25 weeks 🤦🏻‍♀️

Just going to tell everyone not to take any photos of me ever hahaha

gigantaraffe · 16/02/2022 21:44

I remember going to a birthday party when I was pregnant last time (summer baby) in long leggings and a big pregnancy casual dress with long sleeves last time and my sil said to me I looked so hot and I thought I am but I'm so embarrassed of my legs and stuff that I can't bear to go out and let people see me. Stretch mark central.
