Yep I inhaled a big bar of galaxy earlier..

Isonthecase · 14/02/2022 20:44

@EverydayIsPJday Yep, though their multivitamin ones and energy ones also seem to be ok. Ditto the energy ones from lots of other places, I got some from Waitrose that are fine too Smile I've also seen the voost ones in tesco

In some cruel twist of fate, chocolate is making me feel so sick at the moment, and bread! My two favourite things in the universe have been betrayed by my pregnancy brain :(. I was re-reading some old emails I had written my daughter when i was pregnant, and at week 18 I was still talking about feeling sick, so I am so incredibly glad that this time is even a little better. Currently somewhere in week 11.5-12 and feeling energy return somewhat!

110APiccadilly · 15/02/2022 06:58

I felt very sick after eating ice cream on Sunday. Very unfair.

Two weeks today to my scan!

mummysept22 · 15/02/2022 07:10

Anyone else around 8+4 and no sickness? I thought I was getting waves but gone now completely. I just don't think I'm that lucky!! Booked another early scan on Saturday to be sure x

annlee3817 · 15/02/2022 07:12

@mummysept22 I was symptomless in my last pregnancy, and people kept saying that sickness was a good sign that hormones were increasing, and I used to get so worried, my DD is 6 now. Hard though when most people seem to experience nausea.

@annlee3817 yes!! It's the first thing people ask, how's the sickness? Errr fine thanks! 🙄 It will probably hit me like a bus next week and I will be dreaming back to these days haha. My breast are huge and sore and I'm tired but other than that I don't have much else. Cramps have gone too. trying not to worry too much, but it is hard as you say! X

surprised12 · 15/02/2022 08:57

@CLC22

Had my scan today, measuring 10+5 which is spot on my dates, beautiful beating heart & a very wriggly baby 😍 so happy x
Congratulations!!! Such a relief:)
surprised12 · 15/02/2022 09:01

@Isonthecase

Just had my 12 week scan and moved a few days earlier so looks like this is probably an August baby after all! Bit of a relief as I was NOT looking forwards to an extra year of childcare costs 😱 So I'll be here on August 31st when it still hasn't arrived and half of yours have already 😂 Hoping to stick around as think there's a few of us on the cusp?
Oh I totally didn't think of the extra childcare fees - I've been secretly hoping I'm late and the baby comes in September!! Totally wishing for August now 😂
MOLWI · 15/02/2022 09:07

I'm 10+5 and had some dark brown blood when I wiped last night and now can't stop thinking about it 😫 it was a pretty small amount and there hasn't been anymore since but I'm so worried somethings wrong now! Has anyone else experienced dark brown blood?
I had a healthy scan at 9 weeks with a strong heartbeat but I'm still so worried 😟

MOLWI · 15/02/2022 09:26

I've already gone ahead and booked a private scan this evening because I'm not going to stop worrying until I know everything's ok 😩

IzzyLeigh · 15/02/2022 13:13

@MOLWI, sorry to hear that, but try not to jump the worst conclusions. The more and more I read, the more I'm seeing that so many of us have weird, unexplained spotting or bleeding that never actually has an impact on the baby. Believe me though, I get it. I've been spotting again over the past day and I'm in panic mode as well—even though I had a good heartbeat on my scan last week and have a scan coming up on Friday. Pregnancy really does a number on our nerves, huh?
Have you had any more bleeding since last night?

ShiningStarz · 15/02/2022 13:25

@MOLWI I had random bits when wiped during my last pregnancy and all was fine. Doesn't stop the worrying though, glad you have the scan booked for peace of mind.

I'm 10 weeks and 1 day today. Anyone else not feel pregnant?? I could have sworn in my last pregnancy i couldn't do my button up on jeans at this stage. I was definitely really bloated. I've my first scan next week . It's so hard not to worry about every little thing!!

I don't feel pregnant at all; I'm half convinced it's not real, and that's even after an early scan. It just feels too good to be true.

I'm only 9 weeks and wondered how many of you have told friends and family, and if so, when?

Just my DH knows, and we've been trying to decide when to tell everyone.

Isonthecase · 15/02/2022 14:06

@surprised12 Yep, we've just got out of two in full time childcare in September, it HURTS. The less of that the better 😅😂
That said, I wouldn't mind a September one later on, it's probably a case of short term pain long term gain...

PrettyTulip · 15/02/2022 14:14

Is anyone 9w+ and still not had their booking in appt yet? 🙄
I self referred to the midwives (it's what you have to do in my area) straight away as soon as I knew and they confirmed they'd book me in w/c 14/02 ... I know that's this week but I'm really impatient and just want it sorted. They couldn't give a specific date or time, just this week 🥺

annlee3817 · 15/02/2022 14:49

At least the extra year will be with 30 hours free :)

Hope the scan goes ok @MOLWI

Thank you! Nope there's been no more spotting since last night which is a good thing I guess but I can't help but feel worried especially because my other symptoms seem to have eased off too!
Only a few hours to go and I'll have answers🤞🏼

MOLWI · 15/02/2022 15:23

@PrettyTulip I'm 10 weeks and my booking appointment isn't for another two weeks! I did the self referral too x

Chlox16 · 15/02/2022 15:53

@PrettyTulip I'm 10 wks 5 days and I literally just had my booking appt over the phone this morning. They only called me yesterday afternoon to check if I could do today so maybe they will do a similar thing with you. Hopefully you hear soon Smile x

Glitterygreen · 15/02/2022 16:38

@surprised12 @Isonthecase I am REALLY hoping mine comes in August too.

Not loving the extra year of childcare fees and also my own birthday is 1 week after my current due date and I really don't want to have a baby on/right on top of it. August would be ideal for us.

Glitterygreen · 15/02/2022 16:48

Is anyone going on holiday abroad this year?

I am desperate to go as it's been so long due to COVID, and I know we won't get the opportunity for at least a couple of years after the baby is born as DP is not keen on travelling with young children.

The only thing is the very earliest we could go is May due to other commitments so (all being well) I'll be 20 weeks at the very least, do you think that's too late/a bit risky?

I'm hopefully going to France in may - I'll be about 25 weeks I think... How many children do you have? We've always travelled with dd so will most likely have a holiday while I'm mat leave and not bound to term time because of my job.
Glitterygreen · 15/02/2022 17:06

@gigantaraffe We wouldn't have any children with us for the holiday, just me and DP.

This is my first but I have 2 SCs and DP has always mentioned how he'd never want to travel abroad with very young children, so know if we don't go pre-baby we probably won't go for another 3+ years.

gigantaraffe · 15/02/2022 17:17

Oh! I see! I would definitely put a case forward to travel with a baby if you wanted to. Babies when small are quite easy to transport - we took dd to Morocco at 8 weeks and she slept the entire way there and the entire way back and apart from bottles didn't really need anything else. That said, I don't think 20 weeks is too late :) you'd have your nhs scan around that time (if you're in uk) so might be worth doing it after that maybe?
