Hi all,

I've just had my BFP and am due early October 2022, for my first baby I joined a group on here for people all due the same month so thought I'd start one this time round - early days I know but nice to speak to people in the same boat! 🙂

I'm 31 and have a DD who is 16 months.

Is anyone else due in October? How are you feeling?

So sorry @BuchananBabies 😔

toddlertired · 28/01/2022 20:54

Hi! Tested positive on Wednesday - think i’m due 8th October but might be a little earlier, my cycles are a bit varied. This is baby 2 - already got DS who turned 3 yesterday. I’m 32 and my birthday is in october so looking forward to quite a good present this year hopefully :) Congratulations everyone

Leibee87 · 28/01/2022 21:41

@BuchananBabies

Hello lovelies

Unfortunately it looks like I'm having an early miscarriage didn't want to drop off the chat without saying bye.

Wishing all of you a happy and healthy 8 months ❤

I'm so sorry to hear this 😔 my thoughts are with you and your family x
Trying81 · 29/01/2022 11:30

What are everyone’s views on early scans?

Some places near me do a 6 week early reassurance scan - but that seems very early to actually see anything?

Leibee87 · 29/01/2022 11:47

I booked one last night and it will be done at 6+6. I just want to know it's there and growing. I think it's done vaginally to see more but looking at my flow app it does seem slightly baby like by then.

I just know I'm going to be so anxious if I just wait till 10 weeks for the NHS scan and plus - probably really irrational but I don't want to go to that midwife appointment and them be like nah nothing there your body is just trolling you 😂.

Trying81 · 29/01/2022 11:49

I feel the same - I have that app as well

I might book for 7 weeks so that there’s more chance of seeing a heartbeat

franc1s · 29/01/2022 12:37

Congratulations ladies!

I got my BFP on Thursday at 16dpo after AF failed to show. This will be our first baby after 4 cycles of ttc. I haven't had many symptoms so far, just sore boobs and spells of cramping.

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy pregnancy Smile

milliemd · 29/01/2022 13:21

Hey everyone - I tested positive on Wednesday morning. Did 3 tests just to make sure!
This will be my first, I'm 29.
Feeling full of anxiety and glad these chats exist so I don't feel so alone!
I am 4w1d today so very early but I have everything crossed although I am filled with anxiety.
We're telling our families the week after next as we have a lot weddings / parties coming up where I won't be able to hide not drinking etc so want our families to know before our friends guess!
I have a scan booked at 6w3d for some reassurance.
Congratulations to everyone xx

Leibee87 · 29/01/2022 15:35

Congratulations @franc1s and @milliemd.

Yeah thankfully all our events were last Yr. The hard thing is going to be requesting decaff tea at my MIL as tea Is on tap there but my husband drinks decaf anyway so it won't look totally unreasonable.

milliemd · 29/01/2022 16:25

Thanks @Leibee87 🥰

Weirdly I started drinking decaf tea mainly in the evenings last year as I was having trouble sleeping so luckily that won't be too obvious - it's when I get offered a glass of wine or champers that they'll get suspicious haha!
My partners away next week so I'm going to try avoid everyone / any questions until he's back and we can tell our families🙈

Aubyone · 29/01/2022 16:32

Eee you guys I am bursting with excitement - its been 5 days since my first BFP and hubby doesn't know yet! But he will do in a few hours. He's been away and I didn't want to tell him over phone, so going to pick him up from airport in an hour or so. My plan is to drive us home (about an hour) and tell him when we get in the house, as I think he'll react better than in an airport car park haha. I am being super cheesy and have put a borlotto bean in a ring box with a note saying 'hello daddy'. We've for some reason always referred to future child as 'Borlotti' and we've been trying for 14 months so hoping he will a) get it immediately and b) not mind the fact I've told a client and my therapist before him haha. (I'm self employed and felt a strong need to tell a particular client as they were about to make some huge plans that I knew I won't be able to do). Anyway, I cannot believe he doesn't know this life changing news yet while I've known all week!

Aubyone · 29/01/2022 16:33

Oh @BuchananBabies I don't know if you will see this but just wanted to say I'm sorry you are going through this. Look after yourself and take care xxx

Samthenanny · 29/01/2022 16:43

Congratulations to everyone

I’m 4+2 and first pregnancy and due 8th of oct according to flo, 3rd month of ttc after coming off the pill and I’m just 35.
Really excited but massively anxious as well, we will be going for a early scan I think, maybe around 7 weeks.

@BuchananBabies really sorry to hear that, I hope you’re ok

BecLJ · 29/01/2022 16:53

Congratulations to everyone who has joined the thread today!

@Trying81 I had an early scan in my last pregnancy and I am planning to do one at 8 weeks or so this time. I found it really reassuring.

@Aubyone aw that sounds like a lovely plan! Enjoy Smile

5manc · 29/01/2022 17:10

Congratulations to all the new bfps ✨❤️

@Trying81 I'm going to get one at about 9 weeks as it's my 30th and we're having a family gathering. I could never get away with not drinking so we will just tell family then! 😂

@Aubyone Aww such a lovely surprise! Let us know how it goes! X

gemmamusic · 29/01/2022 21:44

Hi All! Congratulations!

I'm due 4th October. Found out this morning - was convinced AF was on the way so just did a quick test before going out for a boozy lunch with the girls. Came up quickly with just one line so grumpily dumped it in the bin.

Just had a 'feeling' so fished it out (we've all been there) and lo and behold - two strong lines! Done 3 more since then.

Just waiting for DP to get home from work so I can surprise him! We've just this week got our GP infertility referral after a year of trying so this is a lovely shock!

Anyone else got terribly sore boobs?!

milliemd · 29/01/2022 22:40

Congratulations @gemmamusic 🤍
Yes I wish I could take my boobs off temporarily😂
I've got permanent cramps too!

mistyrae · 29/01/2022 23:10

Hi all,
I had my BFP on Tuesday and my EDD is the 26th or 30th September depending if I have gone from LMP or ovulation (currently doing from LMP, put me at 5weeks 5 days). I hope you don’t mind me joining this thread, I have explored September ones but I seem quite far behind the ladies in that one and I think I’m further behind than I think.

I feel like I am just an anxious mess at the moment! Debating paying for an early reassurance scan at 6/7 weeks onwards and I know this sounds silly but I am really anxious about the fact that the scan is vaginal. I haven’t had smear tests or anything yet but I feel like I need to get this scan to put my mind at ease a bit.

Symptom wise, my boobs are so sore, I feel nauseas constantly but haven’t actually been sick yet, I feel shattered all the time and I have some mild cramping (that worries me constantly but I know it’s normal)

Congratulations to everyone! X

gemmamusic · 30/01/2022 08:07

@mistyrae I also have bad cramps. Not sure if my nausea is excitement or real though. Been attached to a hot water bottle for backache too! So happy to be pregnant I really don't mind!

I have been looking at early scans - think we will try and wait for 8/9 weeks. What is it about the vaginal scan that scares you?
