Hi all,

I've just had my BFP and am due early October 2022, for my first baby I joined a group on here for people all due the same month so thought I'd start one this time round - early days I know but nice to speak to people in the same boat! 🙂

I'm 31 and have a DD who is 16 months.

Is anyone else due in October? How are you feeling?

Thanks guys that has made me feel better. Also tempted with an early scan but realistically I think that would be a slippery slope for me and might become addictive. I've had health anxiety in the past so think this is just creeping in a bit.
I'm grateful to feel normal now as like you say I might be feeling rough in just a few weeks.
Also I say I have no symptoms but I've been having some cramps, quite gassy and tender boobs. Also I am sooo bloated I look very pregnant already. So I think I'm being a bit dramatic 😅.

Thanks for the reassurance guys xx

Field22 · 25/01/2022 21:22

@5manc I was exactly the same last time. My 30th was when I was 11 weeks so we went for an early scan at 9 weeks. Felt really reassured to see the little bean! Unsure if I'll do it again this time, I guess I'll see how I feel over the next few weeks x

BecLJ · 25/01/2022 21:26

@5manc last time I actually had 2 private scans (8 weeks and 11 weeks) because I was really anxious! It was reassuring to me but I'm also going to see how I go before deciding whether to do it this time

I had a private scan at 8 weeks and found it really reassuring dr Google says after seeing a heartbeat from 8 weeks+ your risk of mc reduces so that definitely chilled me out a bit.

I also had a 4d scan when I was 30 weeks and she kinda looked like a lumpy potato 🙈 don't think I'd do that again 😂

ChloeHel · 25/01/2022 21:53

Hello all! I got my BFP this morning 11DPO..been testing like a crazy person since 7DPO haha and have done 3 today as I couldn’t believe it!

OP I’m very similar! I’m 30 and have a DD that is 15 months! She was born October 18th and my due date is October 8th! I clearly love an October baby ha ha.

5manc · 25/01/2022 21:54

@HMFx oh I feel soo full and bloated all the time! You're allowed to be dramatic you are growing a human!

@Field22 @BecLJ that's good to know that it reassured you both. It's definitely something to think about. I need to think of activities to keep myself occupied for the next 2 months haha hopefully planning my birthday is one of them!

@BuchananBabies a lumpy potato 😂! Yeah those 4D scans are crazy aren't they!

Leibee87 · 25/01/2022 22:32

I got my Bfp today. Took 4 tests to make sure 😂. So happy but so scared. Its my dh and mines first. I'll be 35 on Thursday and we were trying for 5 cycles. Due date is beginning of October.

girlmummy25 · 25/01/2022 23:21

Hey ladies,

Congratulations to you all!

I should be due around 3rd October, this will hopefully be my 2nd child as daughter is 2.5years. We have been trying for 14 months and have had 2 miscarriages in that time so im hoping this one stays!!

Goose4 · 26/01/2022 02:04

Hello!

Congratulations everyone!

I'm also due around October 4th and this will be my second (fingers crossed!). My son is almost 2, so there'll be just over 2.5 years between them if everything goes well ❤️

KPS13 · 26/01/2022 02:21

Congrats all!

I've also received my BFP today.

I'm 33 and have been trying to conceive for around 6 months. We're overjoyed and also in slight disbelief. This will be our first so we're also quite nervous with what to expect.

JuniperAndTonic · 26/01/2022 06:31

Hi, very cautiously placemarking - got a BFP on Monday, due date will be 5th October all being well, I’m 4 weeks today. I’m super nervous as I had a miscarriage in November so not really believing this is real yet!

i123i · 26/01/2022 07:38

Morning!

Congratulations all!! Lovely to read about your stories/BFPs/dates. I got my BFP on Saturday at 12dpo, and would be due 3rd October, so I’m 4w+2 today. 🙏🏻

Like @JuniperAndTonic - I am also just cautiously marking this thread for now, as I also had a very early miscarriage end of October/early November so I’m still a bit nervous about this little one.

I’m 34 and this would be our first baby (apart from our little angel baby). I’ll probably be active on this thread when I hit 8 weeks or so, hope that’s ok.
Wishing you all a healthy and happy pregnancy!
❤️❤️

Tyla525 · 26/01/2022 08:01

Morning All.

I too am also cautiously joining the thread. I am currently 4+4 weeks due October 1st. Had 2 miscarriages over the past year whilst trying for 2nd baby. One at 4+1 and another at 6+1. I am so anxious all the time at the moment. Really hoping for the best this time round.

Dizzy124 · 26/01/2022 08:40

Hi All! Congratulations on the BFPs! I got mine last Tuesday, which was 10dpo- quite a shock. I think I’m due on 1st October. It will be our first baby and I’m feeling anxious about everything. I have no reason too- I’m just a worrier so was very pleased to find this thread. We are planning to have a private scan at 8 weeks and I’m having a call with the doctor tomorrow evening

Leibee87 · 26/01/2022 10:39

I have never conceived before and am so scared of losing it. I just rang my Dr's who have booked me in to see the midwife at the end of Feb. I was going to wait a few weeks before ringing but I wasn't sure if there was a waiting list and everything I have read said contact Dr's as soon as possible.

My CB test gave me 1-2 weeks this morning but I'm about 4 weeks. I need to stop POAS now.

Haha knowing I'm pregnant is worse than the TWW for anxiety and I have only known 24hrs.

BuchananBabies · 26/01/2022 13:57

Congratulations everyone on your BFP's wishing you all a happy 8/9 months ❤

I was so anxious and kept peeing on sticks but decided not to drive myself nuts doing it anymore. Plus DP took my tests away because I was driving him nuts too 😂

I've had the most stressful day and I think being pregnant is making it worse because I'm getting more stressed that I'm stressed and pregnant! Never win can you 😂

BecLJ · 26/01/2022 14:17

Congratulations and best wishes to everyone who has joined the thread with a BFP.

I'm feeling a bit gross today but my little girl is also unwell (and sticking to me like velcro) so it might be that rather than pregnancy related!

@Buchananbabies I also really want to test all the time but don't have any tests which is the only reason I haven't!

OP posts:
BuchananBabies · 26/01/2022 14:42

@BecLJ aww I hope you're both feeling better soon there's nothing worse ☹️.

I spent about £50 on pregnancy tests which is ridiculous. I tried those one step tests from amazon and they are awful! I was getting the faintest lines 3 days after af was due and a positive CBD.

SoNewToThis · 26/01/2022 16:00

Hi everyone,
I’m trying not to jinx it but I got my first positive this morning! It was super faint and I was worried it was just an evaporation line but I did a different brand a few hours later and it was still super pale but there was a line so I think I’m pregnant! I’m only 5 days PET so it’s really early but I’ve been feeling so sick that I couldn’t wait anymore!
I have a teething 6 month old so they will be very close in age, I’m so excited!
Like you @BuchananBabies I keep buying pregnancy tests, I had some one stop ones left over from my first but they aren’t showing anything yet, but as soon as they do I’ll be back to checking 2 a day until the 6 week scan! They weren’t the most accurate though, I might have my family hide them if I start obsessing…
Does anyone else have a feeling you might have twins? I didn’t with my first but I’ve been feeling so tired and ill this time around (I had no morning sickness with the first so it’s probably just how different it feels) and I just have this weird thing that it might be twins! I’m not 100% how I feel if I’m honest about twins, and I feel so guilty thinking like that!
Sorry for the overload, I feel like I’m going crazy and I don’t know anyone I can talk to! x

lizwells2020 · 26/01/2022 19:33

Hello everyone, so pleased to have found this group. Huge congratulations to everyone!

Just had first ever BFP 4 days ago after 14 months of TTC. We were about to start clomid and were on the waiting list for IVF to start in July So really can’t believe it’s just happened.

So much anxiety having got so into the fertility struggle thing. Have been doing loads of tests looking for line progression which I know isn’t helpful.

Was FREEZING in the end of the two week wait and felt quite fluey and headachey but now feel fine with just some light kind crampy weird feeling in my uterus not quite like period cramps. Lack of symptoms also worrying me!

So clearly I need to just CHILL! So hearing all you guys experience is so hugely helpful.

Timeaftertime21 · 26/01/2022 20:05

Hi all,

I got my BFP yesterday. AF due on Friday so still really early days but keeping everything crossed 🤞🏻 The line was much darker today so that gave me some reassurance ☺️ This is our 1st on 6th cycle TTC 🥰

Edmarie · 26/01/2022 20:16

Hi everyone,

It feels really surreal to be posting here, but congratulations to you all! I tested positive yesterday with a very faint line, but this morning had a much stronger line, so I’m currently trying to get my head around it!
I’m 34, this will be our first, and we were lucky enough to conceive the first month we properly tried. I think I’m due right around the beginning of October.
So nice to hear all your stories! Looking forward to having somewhere to share all my irrational worries! :)
Xx

Chl03 · 26/01/2022 20:16

Congratulations everyone!!

I only got a BFP today so I'm cautiously optimistic! I've just been through IVF again and I'm not meant to take a test for a week but I couldn't wait. I'm glad I know but I forgot about the anxiety that comes with wondering if you're still pregnant every few hours, its almost as tough as the wait!

It's so lovely that this exists, I hope you all have amazing pregnancies and we can support each other as we experience new things! ❤️

Aubyone · 26/01/2022 20:32

Glad to find this thread. Cautiously joining as it's soooo early for me (12DPO but I ovulated early so I'm not even at 4 weeks yet - technically 3w 5days). After 14months trying and well into fertility tests, got my faint BFP on Monday and it's a lovely strong line by today. This is my first pregnancy and - can't believe I'm saying this - my husband doesn't know yet! He is away and I'm picking him up from airport on Sat. My plan is to have a little present (that would make no sense to anyone else but he'll know what it means straight away) waiting on the table when we get home. Soooo strange speaking to him earlier and just not mentioning this life changing news haha - but I would hate to tell him over the phone! I'm so excited to tell him but also very nervous about the possibility of this not sticking around. Anyway, I'm so excited, struggling to concentrate on anything because I just want to sit down and plan - after a bit of a struggle conceiving, I've been blocking out any plans/thoughts about actually being pregnant so it all feels a bit overwhelming!

Oh and I am 30, due 7th Oct.

All your second or third time mamas I am going to need your wisdom!

Wishing everyone a healthy and happy first few weeks. When does nausea/extreme tiredness tend to kick in? Currently feeling great!

Leibee87 · 26/01/2022 20:50

Congrats to all bfps. I started to feel that from 11dpo. I actually feel crap tonight, have had a headache all day and just lots of random pains in my abdomen/kidney area and have a sore throat too (potentially cause I'm covid testing daily atm) also super anxious. Roll on 8 weeks when I see the midwife. Think if I'm still feeling this anxious I'll book a private scan.
