Hi all,

I've just had my BFP and am due early October 2022, for my first baby I joined a group on here for people all due the same month so thought I'd start one this time round - early days I know but nice to speak to people in the same boat! 🙂

I'm 31 and have a DD who is 16 months.

Is anyone else due in October? How are you feeling?

Welcome and congratulations to the newbies !
So so lazy today, well feeling lazy but I know it's hormones etc ! Honestly cba to do anything 🥱

SunnySideUp2020 · 18/02/2022 18:50

Thank you!
I had a scan with my DD and she measured 7w4 so I guess at 6w4 there won't be much to see!

And another one here trying to entertain a teething and walking baby!
Can't find space at nursery 🥲🥲

xxfxx · 18/02/2022 19:33

Hi @kate288 I’m preg with baby number 2 and also have a 3 year old daughter.

xxfxx · 18/02/2022 19:34

Keeping everything crossed for you ladies @CLP86 and @1stTimeTina x

CLP86 · 18/02/2022 20:43

@xxfxx - Thank you! Xx

HelloNope · 18/02/2022 21:18

Hi all, hope it's ok if I join!
I'm currently 5w pregnant. Due 23rd October, but it will be a c-section so likely the week before :)
I have a DD and DS already so keeping this one a surprise!

Morning sickness starts at 6wks, I'm really dreading it.

Simone22 · 18/02/2022 21:34

Hello, lots of people on here already but hopefully there’s room for a little one more. I literally just found out and my estimated due date is 31st Oct so I just make it in the Oct club Smile lots of congratulations and happy thoughts to you all x

StaryEyes1978 · 18/02/2022 22:59

Can I join. Just got my BFP. Due 28th October with DC2. I'm 43 so a geriatric mum this time round (was 39 when DD1 was born). Actually a little bit panicked but excited!

Leibee87 · 18/02/2022 23:15

Welcome to all the new bfps. My morning sickness came back (at 10pm) never thought I'd be happy to be sick haha.

LR89 · 19/02/2022 07:51

I’m feeling quite lucky at the moment and only symptom is sore boobs! I’ll be 8 weeks on Monday 😬.
What’s everyone doing about exercise, I was pretty active before with 3-4 CrossFit classes a week. I had a few weeks off when I found out but I’m slowly starting to get back into it but not pushing myself so hard. I want to keep active during pregnancy, everyone says it will help with labour apparently!

Curlywurly3 · 19/02/2022 08:14

Congratulations to all the new BFPs ☺️ Here is the Facebook link for anyone who would like to join. It’s private and invisible fb.me/g/2PoGWqn4P/YGL167xQ

daisiesandpeonies · 19/02/2022 08:33

@LR89 I'm off to yoga this morning - I'm going to carry on with usual gym visits but no cross fit or spin - just low impact classes. Mostly because I'm so tired 😴

Tigerlilyxx · 19/02/2022 09:12

Can I join. BFPs yesterday and today, will be due 28th October. Hoping it's a sticky baby as only 4 weeks atm.

What are the next steps, like when should I let my GP know?

Curlywurly3 · 19/02/2022 09:16

@Tigerlilyxx congratulations! Every trust is different but if you look on your doctors website or the hospital where you’ll be having the baby, they may have a form you can fill out. If not, you can call the doctors and they’ll send you one. They midwife will book you in for (usually) between 8 and 10 weeks x

LR89 · 19/02/2022 09:52

Enjoy yoga! I’m avoiding any classes which look too strenuous at the moment, and once we’re a bit further along I’ll let the coaches know so they can advise scaled movements

1stTimeTina · 19/02/2022 10:04

I wish I could exercise! I’m getting out of breath at the stairs already!! My sickness should ease by 12/13 weeks hopefully but I’ll probs not do anything other than walking and maybe a bit of pre natal Pilates , I don’t want to get too stuff but I get light headed just doing the cleaning right now!

1stTimeTina · 19/02/2022 10:05

Stiff not stuff *

Poppybloom55 · 19/02/2022 10:17

Hey. I’m curious when all you other October mummies are planning to tell immediate family?

KirstyJayne82 · 19/02/2022 10:26

@Poppybloom55 after 12 week scan. I was 15 weeks last time by time we managed it. If scan goes well I'm going to get my son a "I'm going to be a big brother" T-shirt and get him to wear it on a visit to my mum and see how long it takes her to notice 😂 it might take a week to arrive and also my husband works every second weekend so depending on when dates fall could be 14/15 weeks.
What are you planning? X

Leibee87 · 19/02/2022 10:27

I work in fitness so teach 4 x per week (chair based /strength and balance stuff) I haven't been to the gym in weeks though. I am just too knackered.

KirstyJayne82 · 19/02/2022 10:27

@Tigerlilyxx congratulations! My 3 year old was born 28 October- good month for us lol

I just called maternity and made my appointments but could be different process where you are. I'd call GP if you can't find pathway online x

KirstyJayne82 · 19/02/2022 10:31

@StaryEyes1978 congratulations! In similar boat I'm 40 in October. Had my son at 37. Older but wiser I'm hoping 😂

Tigerlilyxx · 19/02/2022 10:32

I'd like to tell my parents asap, both for excitement and support if something went wrong but then DH would want to tell his parents but MIL ruined our engagement announcement by telling everyone before we had the chance (despite being sworn to secrecy!)

HMFx · 19/02/2022 10:32

@Poppybloom55 I'm planning to tell close family and friends next week which seems surreal as I've known I'm pregnant for over a month now. Having an early scan on Weds when ill be 8w3d so if all is well I'll tell them Thursday. Probably would have waited a bit longer but it's my best friends hen do on Friday and I won't be able to hide not drinking. Feeling nervous and excited for Wednesday. Also had my dating scan through from hospital for 4th March so lots to look forward to 😄

HRHXO · 19/02/2022 10:36

@Poppybloom55 I told my mum and dad last weekend at 5 weeks mainly because they live in Manchester and I'm in Leeds and we had to drive down for my nieces birthday and I felt awful. I also think I will personally need the support from my mum. My brother is younger but already has 3 children and his fiance didn't involve my mum with all the gory details (obviously lol) but I know my mum would like to be involved like that. I won't be telling anyone else not even the in laws until 12 weeks now.

@Tigerlilyxx I'm a first timer and had no idea what to do so day after my bfp I rang my GP and they sent me a text with a link to the midwife unit to fill out some info then they called me a week later x
