@Tinadecember I fully expect it to ramp up within the next few days lol it's just taking it's time. I feel I'll be the same with tea tbh, some mornings I really enjoy it, others I have it and it turns my stomach lol try travel sickness bands if nothing easies your nausea. My sis wore these all through her pregnancy and if she took them off she was sick lol.
@PrettyTulip aww how lovely! I've not officially been had a dating scan but I know my LMP and ovulation day so pretty sure of my gestation. I was exactly the same as you until Monday there. All I had was cramps and I could smell things more and also kept prodding my nipples (only part that was sore) just to check. Now it's all in full swing lol. Some lucky women have barely any symptoms so that could be you haha

PrettyTulip · 28/01/2022 08:36

@Dreamer30 mine is just based on my LMP too. I've booked an early scan next Saturday when I believe I'll be 7w6d so we'll wait and see! 😅
I'd rather have symptoms tbh, let me know something is happening rather than nothing 😔 I had a MMC in July so naturally the worst is constantly going through my mind x

PrettyTulip · 28/01/2022 08:37

@EverydayIsPJday I know how you're feeling with the anxiety of MC as I had one last year too. I didn't get my 3+ until 5w3d but I know it does vary woman to woman x

Billymay · 28/01/2022 09:10

@EverydayIsPJday I done one on Wednesday when I was 5 weeks and saw 2-3 again. I’ve ordered some more and was going to do one this weekend and if not one on Wednesday next week when I’ll be 6 weeks.. I honestly thought I’d see it on Wednesday as I got a faint positive on a test at 7dpo so thought maybe I ovulated earlier than I thought??? I haven’t really got any symptoms apart from waking in the night to go for a wee ☺️

I had a lot of symptoms early on but they've now subsided entirely! The only symptom I have is pain which worries me. Lol Last night I woke up in the night for a wee and I was so stupidly excited as it is not normal for me so gave me some reassurance that it is pregnancy related 😂

I'm going to try and hold off on the next CB until next Friday where I will be 6 weeks. I did one on Monday and got my 2-3 X x

Dreamer30 · 28/01/2022 09:27

@PrettyTulip omg I also have a scan that day! Haha I booked it last week. I had a MC last year and a PUL so I understand your worry. Hopefully this next week flies in!

PrettyTulip · 28/01/2022 09:40

@Dreamer30 how uncanny is that! 😂 fingers crossed for us both!

BlueSky57 · 28/01/2022 10:35

Thanks for the comments everyone. I am struggling a lot right now with this hyperemesis. Has anyone had it before & if so, any tips?

I either feel sick, am being sick, have diarrhoea or am asleep 24/7 at this point. I have lost a lot of weight so far as I just can’t eat. Doctor told me to force myself to drink but only eat a little when I fancy something.

I am taking cyclizine as prescribed but find it doesn’t really do anything. I had a good old cry last night as I have such a long way to go & my mum had this all through her pregnancy with me so I am worried.

EverydayIsPJday · 28/01/2022 10:43

Thanks everyone for your comments, I know you are right and I'm probably testing too early. Last year I watched the line fade and it was so hard with all the hospital blood tests for hcg etc. We decided we would stop trying after this month so its kind of a last chance and was amazing to see the bfp, but we are blessed with two little boys already and I don't ever take that for granted. Fingers crossed for next week Smile

annlee3817 · 28/01/2022 10:45

Sorry you're so poorly with it @BlueSky57 no advice, but really hope it eases up for you

Glitterygreen · 28/01/2022 10:59

Hey all, just wanted to say, don't get too caught up on the Clear Blue weeks thing....I went through this myself a couple of weeks ago and looked into it, and the threshold between 2-3 and 3+ is massive.

I think 2-3 is between 100ml (or whatever the measurement is!) and about 10,000, and then 3+ is over that. So it really is such a massive range and doesn't mean anything is wrong if you haven't hit 3+ yet.

BlueSky57 · 28/01/2022 11:25

Thank you @annlee3817. It is really getting me down as I am literally just bed to sofa right now. I’m really hoping things improve soon as I want to be more positive about everything but it is difficult right now.

petitlapin1 · 28/01/2022 12:08

@BlueSky57 I had hyperemesis the last time round.
Highly recommend the Mumsnet thread- Lucinda who runs it is an absolute star with so much helpful advice about foods, drinks, meds, other support.
I went through 3 different meds and a few admissions before i found a good combination, but to be honest it wasn't until the end when I really felt well again. I ended up under the perinatal mental health team- it really took its toll. But it was worth it all for the perfect baby at the end.

(She says, having put off another pregnancy for 7 years to avoid a re-run...)

I've got normal morning sickness this time round and it's so so different. Please join the Mumsnet hyperemesis thread, get some ketostix off Amazon and rest. I was only able to keep fluids down some days if I stayed in bed. All the rest. X

IzzyLeigh · 28/01/2022 12:59

I know sickness starts at different times for everyone, but I'm just curious; for those of you that have it, when did it first start for you?

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 28/01/2022 14:15

I've got back ache on my left side and left muscle twitch near my hip. Is that weird!

Dreamer30 · 28/01/2022 14:22

@IzzyLeigh mine never started until Monday at 6w+1d

IzzyLeigh · 28/01/2022 14:50

@Dreamer30 that's tomorrow for me! I know I shouldn't want it, especially with how bad I've read it is for some of you guys, but I've had so many worries thus far that I feel like it'd be such a reassurance

I have a feeling I'm going to wish I had been careful what I wished for!

Dreamer30 · 28/01/2022 14:58

@IzzyLeigh don't worry, I was exactly the same 🙈😅 I see all these women say they're sick from 4w onwards. I had nausea for 3 days after my bfp but that was it. I had next to no symptoms and prayed for it to come so that in my head I could day things are fine. I now regret it 🤣 at times I'll be driving and think omg what if this is the time I need to be sick out of the window haha! Some mummas are just lucky though and get none, so that may be you lol

IzzyLeigh · 28/01/2022 15:11

@Dreamer30 the other thing is that I've heard everyone say that these symptoms come and go and aren't constant. So here I am thinking it will be some huge reassurance to get sickness, but I fail to really consider how much MORE I'll worry if I get it and then it goes away for a few days!
There just really is no way to stop the anxiety and worry, is there? haha

Isonthecase · 28/01/2022 15:36

My nausea is really tied to stress and tiredness which makes it go up and down a lot. You might find the same? When I'm well rested and chilled out it's fine but if I'm tired and stressed (and hungry) then it's pretty much constant without even the relief of actually being sick.

petitlapin1 · 28/01/2022 15:40

I think I might be out.

2 HCG bloods last week only rose from 44k to 55k in 48h. GP has booked me in for a scan on Monday morning but I've gone from feeling vaguely positive to, well, you know, that pit of dread.

This will be my 3rd loss in a row, 4th in total (1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, 1 MMC). Still feeling nauseous and tired. So glad now I didn't tell anyone. Should be 9 weeks on Monday at the scan so hoping it'll be definitive either way.

madeleine85 · 28/01/2022 15:48

@petitlapin1 crossing everything for you. Your amounts are within range and I saw this as I know at your stage they start to come down.

After about 8-10 weeks, hCG levels begin to fall, and they eventually stop progressing.

Did your dr express concern?

So just a little update on my journey so far. Had some light spotting so was referred to early pregnancy unit for a scan. From the dates of my last period I should be 7 weeks but on my scan today I'm only showing at 5 weeks🤷🏼‍♀️ (which would make more sense given when I actually conceived or think I did, but I'll be honest I don't really understand the way the pregnancys are dated!)
they weren't too concerned about the spotting I had and said they couldn't see any obvious reason for it. And I'm going back in 10 days we're hopefully there'll be some growth and we will see heartbeat! Trying not to get too stressed out about it but much easier said then done 🤦🏼‍♀️

HelenHomebird · 28/01/2022 16:03

Hello!

6w+5d positive first timer incoming.

I've spent most of my afternoon scrolling through both threads - had quite a giggle at the relatable side effects and symptoms I've been reading. Very grateful to not have any nausea so far, touch wood.

We've got a viability scan (private) on 2nd Feb along with the NHS booking appointment over the phone on the same day. Until then, it all just doesn't seem very real!

IzzyLeigh · 28/01/2022 16:12

@petitlapin1 I hope everything is okay! I know it's so difficult not to get discouraged and jump to the worst possible conclusions, but I wouldn't count you out just yet. @madeleine85 brought up some good points!
Are you experiencing anything else that you're worried about in conjunction with the levels?
