It’s so hard just waiting and hoping isn’t it? And this is coming from someone with a perfectly healthy previous pregnancy! I told myself this time I wouldn’t spend so much time worrying but I’m finding it hard.

However I remember on my Dec 2019 thread someone shared this and we all found it reassuring: datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer.php

I’ve started looking at it again whenever I feel anxious and it reminds me that our pregnancies are much more likely to go well than not

MrsS7 · 26/01/2022 11:08
@MrsS7 it's very nerve wracking! But we all don't want to be in that boat so it's an awful time for everyone isn't it. I just want to get passed the first trimester in the hope that after that I would be able to feel a little more confident. Can someone just put me to sleep for the foreseeable 😂
Haha yes I feel the same. I remember thinking that last time though and then I started fixating on the baby’s movements, then when he was here safe I was always worried he wasn’t breathing… it never stops! 🙈

Hopingforarainbow27 · 26/01/2022 11:17

I'm just back from my scan, I'm measuring 5w 5 days and there is just a yolk sac but the girl said that's completely normal but now I'm worried

chasingtherainbow1 · 26/01/2022 11:26

@MrsS7 I imagine that would be the same as me tbh!

@Hopingforarainbow27 5w5d is still pretty early. A lot of people don't see anything until past 6 weeks. I'll be 6w1d for mine on Friday but according to my ovulation test I'll only be 5w4d. I won't be expecting to see much either. Have they booked you in for another in 2 weeks time?

EllieJai44 · 26/01/2022 11:27

@chasingtherainbow1 this is what I said to my OH if I could find out I'm pregnant and then next day skip past 12 weeks that would be amazing! I know it isn't necessarily easy going from then but at least it would make me feel less anxious!

chasingtherainbow1 · 26/01/2022 11:28

@EllieJai44 it would be so much easier to cope with wouldn't it 😂 wish I could just fast forward and know if everything's going to be ok

Moonshine160 · 26/01/2022 11:32

Hi everyone. Feeling really anxious. I know I shouldn’t compare pregnancies because each one is different but I’m 5+1 now and other than a positive pregnancy test and missed period I have no symptoms. When I was pregnant with DS I didn’t feel nauseous for a few weeks but I went off tea and coffee instantly and certain smells repulsed me. I haven’t got any of that. Even my boobs aren’t very achey. Anyone else the same?

Hopingforarainbow27 · 26/01/2022 11:40

@chasingtherainbow1 I'm booked in for the 10th! I'm so worried as I thought there would be foetal pole by now

Mags146 · 26/01/2022 11:45

@20viona don't worry about CB. The treshhold for 3+ is hcg at the level of 2753 units. I've done my test on Sunday morning and it showed 2-3 weeks. Then on the same day, few hours later I took a blood sample and sent it to the lab, they measured my hcg levels at whooping 3541 units!!!!
I think CB is not very accurate and they tend to show 3+ only closer to 6 weeks.

Goodgoodthings · 26/01/2022 11:50

Hi @Moonshine160 I hope you're okay. I'm pretty much the same - 5 weeks today going by ovulation and I'm tired but that's probably from the late nights googling about early pregnancy 🤦‍♀️ and running around after my little one. Last time I had no symptoms until about 7 weeks when I suddenly got very sick, so I'm just taking it steady and trying not to overthink everything but it's so hard!

We've not told anyone which has been hard because I'm really close to my family. Also I'm due to be a bridesmaid late this summer and I feel awful not saying anything to my friend just yet, but it feels too early for me right now. Im so happy to be pregnant but I'm worried how she'll react as we already have our dresses and mine might be a bit of a squeeze now haha. Not to mention all the hen shenanigans we've planned!

chasingtherainbow1 · 26/01/2022 11:52

@Hopingforarainbow27 did you track ovulation? I've read loads of stories on here about people not seeing anything around this time and then the next one was fine. There's a tread called 'freaking out' on the pregnancy board where it looks like someone was on a similar position and she's just updated saying everything was fine.

I know it's easier said than done and I'll probably be in the same situation on Friday (if they see anything at all). Part of me wishes I'd asked for the scan next week rather than this week

Hopingforarainbow27 · 26/01/2022 11:54

@chasingtherainbow1 I got a static smiley on 29th dec!
I wish I waited tbh!
I'll go check that thread out thanks!

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 26/01/2022 11:58

@Hopingforarainbow27 is that where you thought you would be though? Hopefully next scan will reassure you.

@Moonshine160 I have very very little 'symptoms' in 5weeks 4 days.

My previous pregnancy was ivf and they wouldn't scan before 7 weeks as before can just be too inconclusive. I've just booked a private early scan for 8 weeks. Just hoping and praying!

MrsS7 · 26/01/2022 12:01

@Moonshine160 I’m the same. 5 weeks today (but 4+4 going by ovulation) and no symptoms today, although I have had the odd day of nausea/sore boobs. Trying to remember it’s very early and that last time I don’t think I had consistent symptoms until 7-8 weeks.

MrsS7 · 26/01/2022 12:03

@Goodgoodthings snap with the bridesmaid duties! Except mine is for my twin sister and I’m in charge of hen party planning 🙈 going to tell her this weekend, thankfully no bridesmaid dresses sorted yet

Pinkflamingofly · 26/01/2022 12:06

@Moonshine160 I dont have any symptoms either, apart from sweating at night (very glamorous lol). I'm 5+1. Last pregnancy, I got nausea from 6 weeks and achy boobs from the beginning. My two other pregnancies, I dont remember much symptoms apart from sore boobs but I already had a bump. Maybe we're just lucky this time?

Hopingforarainbow27 · 26/01/2022 12:09

@Whatelsecouldibecalled I thought I would be 6 weeks and see a foetal pole 🥴

Pinkflamingofly · 26/01/2022 12:09

I tested with the clear blue at 15 dpo and got 3+, but now im worried because high hcg levels could mean down syndrome. It is even possible NOT to find a reason to stress out??

annlee3817 · 26/01/2022 12:29

@Hopingforarainbow27 whilst I try and avoid Dr Google, it says that at 5weeks 5 days you're likely to see the gestational sac and yolk sac, sometimes the sonographer may be able to spot a tiny fetal pole but not normally, sorry it's caused more stress, when is the next scan?

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 26/01/2022 12:34

@Hopingforarainbow27 that margin of error is quite big at this stage though because the measurements are so tiny. Keep faith

twodice · 26/01/2022 12:50

I'm now 5wks 4days. Yesterday morning I woke up around 3am. Was feeling quite nauseous, and crampy. But I've been feeling that way all week so that was fine. But when I went to the toilet I realized I felt like I had a UTI. Constant urge to empty bladder, quite uncomfortable feeling. Sat on the toilet for ages. Up and down a lot. Probably within an hour or so of waking up and going back and forth to the toilet, I had a bit of spotting. The tissue was pink, and I could see some flakes (?) of red.

I decided to call in sick to work and booked a doctors appointment for that afternoon. But about an hour after the spotting i started feeling much better. The UTI-like symptoms disappeared. Then I felt a bit silly for calling in sick so hastily. But convinced myself it was the responsible thing to go to the docs!

Doctors appointment confirmed pregnancy with a test, and also used a test strip to test for infection, which he said was negative. Got blood work done, and also sent the urine sample for more testing too, to rule out infections I guess.

Waiting for the results but I get the feeling the doctor will send me for an early ultrasound around 6-7weeks.

I'm relatively calm. Or at least trying my best to stay calm. Days really drag this early on though!! Blush

Does anyone have minor cramps in the pelvic area, all day long? Mine just don't seem to go away 🤔

Jenna240 · 26/01/2022 15:25
@chasingtherainbow1 I'm booked in for the 10th! I'm so worried as I thought there would be foetal pole by now
Hi I also had my early scan today and was dated at 5 weeks 1 day. They saw the sac but no fetal pole too. The report says single live intrauterine pregnancy seen. I've been given a date to go back in 2 weeks too. X

lpo3010 · 26/01/2022 15:37

Yes I do too. Any idea what / why it is?
PrettyTulip · 26/01/2022 15:43

@lpo3010 nope! I was just wondering if it was normal cos everything I've seen on the dreaded Google says cramps last for a couple of minutes then go again. Mine are just there, consistently. 🤨
